The view was breathtaking, but if you don’t have a balcony with a city view it would honestly suck. Worth paying the extra for the balcony. The breakfast was good with lots of variety. It was clean, and comfy and close to touristy things. They have a TV with Netflix sign in for nighttime which is nice.

We booked a room with a balcony for 2 nights and initially were given a room without one. We talked to the staff and they said they could only move us the next day so we only got one night with the balcony room we had paid for, and apparently when you book the balcony room, only “some” actually have them. I think it should be cheaper to not have one. You could also just book the room with the nice big terrace and be sure to get the good view but it’s more expensive.

Hotel Minerva is one of the few hotels located within the city walls of Siena that provide parking space in the same building: very useful when you intend to explore the countryside. Our room was quite big, but most importantly, it had a view of part of the old centre, including San Francesco. The hotel is only a 15-minute walk to the centre, but it is fairly close to some of the most authentic restaurants: we must thank the very friendly staff at the reception, who gave us plenty of useful tips and were always eager to help!

Breakfast could be better, especially the juices and the bread...

A great hotel in a good location. We walked up from the train & bus station, prob 15-20mins. A pleasant walk into the old town again maybe 15-20 mins to Piazza and Duomo. Our room was a decent size, plenty of space to put suitcases, clothes etc. Bathroom was quite narrow but shower was a good size and worked well. The best thing was the terrace, it was fabulous. So nice to sit out there in the afternoon or evening and enjoy the view and listen to the drumming nearby. The room didn't have a kettle but the reception were happy to give us a pot of hot water, tea bags and milk if we wanted. Good choice for breakfast, didn't have a warmer so the eggs were usually cold.

Siena is "Must-stay small cultural city". Hotel Minerva's valcony view, rooms ,the area,breakfast...everything was amazingly fantastic!‼︎ Hotel lobby has plenty of space,and everywhere at this hotel has beautiful fragrance of flowers...‼︎ We had the best experience here in this trip spending time at this valcony surrounded by fragrance of seasonal flowers and gazing the fantastic view. But, more than that, I felt the most wonderful thing at this hotel is "people" serviceing for us there. They were always very relaxed and charming and fun people! So we enjoyed talking with them a lot! Grazie mille for everything, ARIGATO from Japan! We will never forget this hotel Minerva, and beautiful city Siena.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel was 5 minutes from the centre.

The eggs were cold at breakfast. They came out of the kitchen hot but soon got cold as the wete placed right under the air conditioner and they had no warmer to keep them warm. We did not have enough shampoo/shower soap as my daughter and I both have long hair which we like to wash every day and the sachets were not enough.

Good location just after the entrance to the walled city and a couple of blocks from the main street and the bus terminal. 20 minutes walking to the train station. The room is spacious and clean with great views -though this was on the third floor-. The breakfast buffet selection is good and almost everything tastes great. The view from the garden is amazing so be sure to have breakfast there. Staff is always available and courteous.

We got the room with balcony with good view as we ask for when booking. The room was very clean. The breakfast was very good. There was a nice garden that you can The staffs were very nice and helpful. We could borrow wine glasses and water glasses from the bar. The hotel is near a bus stop and take 10 minutes walk to city centre. We will surely stay here again whenever we visit Siena in the future.

The fridge was small and the handle was broken. The bathroom was very small. No kettle or coffee machine in the room.

Hotel Minerva is clean, well-managed, roomy, and reasonably priced. It is also conveniently located at the entrance of Siena, a 20 minute walk from the train / bus station and a 10 minute walk into the heart of the historic city centre. The staff was very accommodating when we asked to store our bags because we arrived early from Florence.

We're vegan and accustomed to be disappointed by hotel breakfast options. This time was no exception and we ended up walking down to the bus station early and having breakfast there, where we were able to find vegan-friendly croissants and delicious coffee.

The location is very convenient for visiting the old city (but not really for the train station which is confusing) Upon arrival the staff actively gave a city map and explained the paths to the city. Staff tried to solve the problem reported and maintained communication (see don't like section)

The train station can be reached by bus, but the bus routes were confusing. Also the bus stop near the train station in the direction to the hotel is difficult to find an extremely filthy. This is a negative for the public transport design, not the hotel itself. The bathroom door pivot was very laud, and the hotel had no oil to fix it.

Very nice hotel stay for this family of 4. Great location that was only a 5 minute taxi ride from the train station and very easy to walk to the main parts of Siena. The rooms were clean, the AC worked well, and big enough to be comfortable (for a European hotel). We had 2 rooms for 2 nights- an inside room four our teens and then across the hall a room with a terrace for the parents. The terrace was as big as the room, had several comfortable seating options, and the view was AMAZING. Definitely worth the extra money for a couple!!! There was a good selection of meats, fruit, and fresh baked pastries and cakes for breakfast with jams, Nutella and honey selection, as well as someone taking orders from the coffee bar so you could order cappuccino or espresso. After hours you could purchase cold water from the front desk. The location felt safe and we would definitely recommend as well as stay here again.

The room keys were heavy, but we figured out that you could leave them at the front desk when you went out. There was a huge international, teen tour group staying the first night we were there- the hotel handled it the best they could (separate dining room for their breakfast) but just be aware that half or more of the hotel could be a tour group.
