We have just returned from a glorious week in Ortigia at the I Santi Coronati. Beforehand we were rather nervous with the term B&B. What we found was three floors within an old building that were cool, modern and very elegant. Our ‘exclusive use’ suite consisted of a large airy bedroom, and a sitting room in which were located two single sofa beds, for use as beds at small extra charge. Perfect for families. We are a couple used to separate bedrooms so it was ideal - one slight drawback, the single bed made up in the ‘other room’ was on the small side but perfectly okay. Immaculately clean. Staff brilliant without exception but Valentina on reception truly outstanding, as were the breakfast ladies. Lovely terrace for breakfast and then for use of guests throughout the day. Access time of 3.00pm a little difficult but was possible to leave luggage earlier, in our case because the reception happened to be manned: it is at stated times but not throughout the day. Unbeatable location, minutes from the two main squares at the heart of this most atmospheric and uniquely beautiful old town Would be delighted to stay again and are planning to do so!

Trivial, but repeated messages for garage space reservation that we did not ask for and did not want - no problem on arrival. Less trivial our first suite was immediately next to reception and could be a bit noisy at checking in times. Moved with no difficulty to a quieter location but something to watch out for when booking if particularly noise sensitive.

Location was prime and beautiful breakfast each morning. Aircon was appreciated on the top floor. Beds comfortable and nice view of both water and city.

Our toilet gave us trouble across the three days we stayed. It was required that we threw our toilet paper into a bin however this bin was not emptied for the three days we were there. Both bedroom and bathroom doors would not stay closed and had to be slammed multiple times to stay shut for privacy. This may just be our room on top floor and reception did come to try and fix the toilet but the issues persisted. Also, wifi did not reach our room on the top floor.

We loved the location of this hotel, right in the heart of Syracuse. The lady who checked us in and the man who checked us out (possibly the owners?) were really friendly and helpful, especially with assisting us to park on-site. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and modern, with excellent aircon. It had everything we needed and we were perfectly happy with it. We didn't hear any noise and had a good night's sleep. The building itself is attractively decorated, with a calm and peaceful atmosphere. Breakfast was served on the rooftop terrace, which was fantastic. There was an excellent selection of pastries and cakes on offer, and the ones we tried were very tasty. Excellent coffee, too.

The accommodation had everything we needed - there was nothing we didn't like.

We would stay here again and would recommend it to other people as well - Breakfast buffet had nice selection - Calice room has a full terrace and water view in front of it - this is a great room to request - Appreciated the elevator to go up all those flights! - Liked having 2 separate rooms

- No wifi in the room, as mentioned in another review. Other hotels offer dedicated router in each room, and that would be expected at this pricepoint - Remote control for the heat in one room didn't work - Parking was an incremental 20 euros, when it was a vacant parking lot. It seemed to be something the hotel could provide on a complimentary basis for guests. We fortunately found free parking on the street in front of the hotel, but there weren't many spots for it

Room was a good size very clean, with lovely modern decor & a comfortable bed. Bathroom had a great vanity (rare) to put away all my toiletries etc, although bathroom could do with an update to match room but that is being a little picky? Excellent hot water & pressure in the shower. Staff were super helpful & friendly & the location, fabulous! Adequate breakfast served on the terrace & again the breakfast staff were very accommodating & friendly.

Same as what I always don't like... sets of keys for different doors!

Recently remodeled rooms in a fantastic location, you may visit the whole area of Ortigia by foot. And I Santi has a private parking, something that makes a big difference in Europe in general , mainly in places like Siracusa historic area. As it is not that easy to find the place (Waze drove us to a wrong spot), Valentina was lovely to help us to get back the right way. Grazie mille!

Not a big deal , but Wi-fi did not work at the room. We had to go to the front desk to get connected.

This is a really cute place that is on several floors of a multi use building. The rooms were big and the beds were comfortable. They have a roof top terrace for breakfast. The staff was helpful as well. It's very well located as taxis can get to the hotel. It's about a block or two away from all the shops and restaurants. Because it's not on one of the main walking streets, it is quiet.

The only thing I'd say that was a minor issue is that you can hear chairs scraping the floor in the unit above when they were moved.

Excellent and supportive staff: Giuseppe, Katia, Valentina, Chetty and Maritza. Excellent location in Ortigia and i felt very safe all around. Breakfast was fantastic and very delicious strong coffee with a variety of everything needed to enjoy breakfast. The breakfast room with huge mirror and large marble table was spectacular. Chetty and Maritza very helpful during the allocated hour for breakfast. Very quiet and supper clean property all around. Able to open windows if desired to breathe fresh air.

Katia and Valentina were unable to determine origin of noise from the ceiling of my Gallardo Suite and thus was never stopped, a daily occurrence from about 20:30 to 23:00 hours (furniture banging, furniture being moved around, loud noised from the floor upstairs. scratching on the floor.) Also in the mornings approximately 7:30 to 8:30. And sometimes in the afternoons. Unable to sleep properly unless I took a sleeping pill. VERY MUCH DISCOMFORTABLE. SADLY

Location is excellent, near the entrance to Ortigia and convenient to everything. Parking is next door and is a major plus (plus it's free). Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is quite good.

Housekeeping could have been better. They didn't replace the espresso capsules or water unless I asked. The amenities were super small bottles. The mattress was uneven (probably old).
