Spacious room and bathroom, with a small private terrace. Great location near the cable car, beach and parking area. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our bathroom had a horrible smell and we needed to keep the bathroom door shut and fan running when inside. One of the floor drains was blocked and filled - I can imagine the smell coming from there. The rubber strips in the shower were black from dirt or mold.

This is a great option if, like us, you wanted the 'best of both worlds, as it's steps away from both lovely Mazzaro beach and the cable car up to Taormina itself. The property is quite traditional inside and the rooms are functional rather than plush but, we paid extra for a top floor room with a large terrace overlooking the bay and the views were absolutely amazing, the best we've had anywhere. We were even allowed to take our breakfast (which was excellent with a varied choice) onto our terrace each morning. We also used the terrace for our aperitifs before going into town, which really made our stay first class. The hosts and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were so happy that we chose to stay here rather than up in Taormina itself. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (if you can get one of the 3 rooms with a terrace)

Nothing, everything was excellent!!

We loved staying here! The view from our balcony was amazing and the sunrises were beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful, made great suggestions for a local restaurant which we visited twice during our stay. Super close to the beach and we enjoyed a day at the beach club directly opposite the hotel. Good breakfast with sweet and savoury options. Very close to the cable car to go up to Taormina and also a car park which was very useful. Recommend staying here in Mazzarò over Taormina proper.

Very small, narrow bathroom with a small shower. Beds were a little rickety but still comfortable. Room on the smaller side but with the balcony we had plenty of space. None of these things bothered us but worth noting for others if you prefer more space.

The location of the hotel across from the beach and less than a block from the funivia, made our location excellent. We had a balcony facing the bay that was spectacular. Our breakfasts were excellent and fresh every morning. The ladies who took care of the breakfast room were friendly and accomodating. The front end desk were friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend to anyone.

The only issue we had was that we were three ladies with luggage in a small room. Would have been perfect for a couple, but we managed and we loved the hotel on the whole.

The hotel is located in Mazzaro on the coast above Taormina and for us it was a bonus to able to escape the hoards of people in Taormina. We stayed on the fourth floor in the room with the very large terrace. The view was just stunning, overlooking the beach and Isola Bella, sunrise was spectacular. Comfortable bed and pillows, crisp white bedding, air conditioning, small fridge, en suite. The room is as pictured so it was no surprise that the interior is a little dated. The lady on reception was totally charming and welcoming. Breakfast was buffet style with cereals, croissants, pastries, yoghurt and coffee.

We didn't dislike anything. The interior is a little dated but is as shown in the photos. The view more than makes up for that. On the expensive side but any accommodation in this area is priced at a premium.

The hotel is very well placed, close to the cable car that goes to Taormina. Even if the hotel doens’t have a private beach, we had options to go to the two private ones that are right across the street. The view from the balcony is stunning (even at night). Room was clean, there were daily housekeeping services provided.

Everything was ok, I only have one suggestion in regards with the breakfast - it would be great if a few vegetables and fruits could be included. Also, as I side note, not that it’s staff’s fault, don’t leave food in the room or balcony as there are ants.

Great location right across the street from the beach; near restaurants and shops; just a few minutes' walk to the funivia (cable car) up to Taormina; friendly staff; mini-fridge in the room; I had a room with a little terrace out front so woke up every morning with the sun over the water; good price for the location!

Obviously it could be noisy given that the main road runs right out front, but that's not their fault; the breakfast was pretty standard and lacked things like fresh fruit, but it was fine

the view from our balcony was incredible. This really made our stay to wake up to the view of the sea and hear the waves at night. The breakfast was good and the staff were lovely. The room was comfortable and the location was great 2 min walk to the cable car up to town. We enjoyed staying out of the old town and nearer the sea and the craziness of all the tourists. I could walk down to the beach quite easily which is really nice in the morning or evening when they are much quieter then get the shade from the old town during the day.

the bathroom was very tiny and the shower very small. The view from the balcony was great but the noise from all the traffic being on a main road not so much. Luckily at night it was fairly quiet.

The location is perfect if you want to stay close to the beaches and the cable car bottom/starting point. All the top luxury hotels are in the vicinity and you can access their private beach with done charges. Other than that, it's a decent hotel, not the most comfortable or luxurious option but just enough for a decent stay. We found our room to be too small but it could be that the pricier rooms were big enough. The staff is extremely helpful and polite.

Room Size & Breakfast

Very pleasant hotel in Mazzaro (not in Taormina) very close to the cable car to Taormina (which costs 10 Euros return per person, so not a cheap daily journey). The hotel building is beautiful, very clean and very well maintained. Rooms are very basic but very clean and they get cleaned every day. We unfortunately didn't get a room with a view to the ocean as none of those rooms with a view was available so with got one of the room of the back with a little terrace, view to a wall. I would imagine that the rooms with a view have an amazing view. We didn't include breakfast as we don't like to rush breakfast in the mornings so I can't comment on the breakfast but I believe that finishes around 10am. The lady in the reception is very nice and friendly :) Very lovely couple of beaches can be reached going downstairs by a LONG stone staircase so not great for mobility issues people. Not many bars or restaurants in Mazzaro, just a few and not brilliant ones and other couple or so in the beach. All the best vibes, shops, restaurants, cafes and bars are up in Taormina.

The return the electricity key every time you leave the room so you can't leave anything charging in the room, such mobile phones etc, and anything that needs charging unless you are in the room :( The shower in our room was also very small. The view from the terrace in the back rooms, is not really a view to a garden.
