It's very near the train station, you don't have to cross any bridge and they allow to leave luggage after chrckout. The staff are very nice. The room we stayed in only has shower room , the restroom is outside and is shared which is not a problem for us. The room itself is giving vintage vibe which we applied and enjoyed.
They do not have a lift. Though the staff was so kind to help us carry our luggage to our floor so not a big issue. Also use of AC is not free, it's separate payments we paid 12 euros for use of AC for one night stay. Also not a big deal.

We really enjoyed our stay at Albergo al Gobbo! It's a bit old fashioned and could use with some updated fixtures and furniture, but the operators were pleasant and the room was extremely spacious and well kept. The location is also incredible for the price, 5 minute walk from the station and the Jewish district. Thanks for a great stay!
There was black mould in the bathroom which could easily be removed with bleach. The need to leave the key at reception whenever not in the hotel is of a dated idea but didn't interfere with our experience.

The owner of the hotel is extremely friendly, definitely the highlight of our stay. They checked us in early, which was nice so we could leave our bags in the room before going sightseeing. The owner gave us the only room with a mini balcony, which was a definite pleasant surprise. The room was quiet, comfortable and the balcony provided extra space. Despite not having any AC, the extra fan provided helped to keep the temperature mild. Location is also excellent, just 10-15 min walk from the train station and no bridges to cross in between. Loads of restaurants around, within minutes walking.
The shower took ages to warm up and the temperature kept changing during the shower. Not a major flaw, but the only one I can think of.

Perfect location and accommodation. Pretty little hotel with nice host. I think outside of the summer season can be quite comfy - otherwise quite hot. Charm of Venice is reflected in the hotel's interior. We were allowed to check-in one hour before the official check-in time. The next day after check-out, owner allowed us to live our back-packs for free, so we had a chance to spend another half-day in Venice without carrying heavy stuff around.
No mini-fridge, no air-conditioning. We visited Venice during the summer season, thus sleeping was quite problematic due to the heat. Fan was of no much help, unfortunately. As there were no fridge - all beverages quickly became warm, what did not help cooling as well.

I was able to come to Venice in an extremely expensive period (the opening of the Biennale) only because I found this low-cost hotel. And I found it 1. totally satisfactory and 2. exceptionally good in relation to its price. Really, it had everything I needed: a good bed, extreme cleanliness, hot water, etcetera. No luxury, but for me luxury is optional and I prefer to pay less and stick to the basics. All the basics were extremely satisfactory. The proprietor was friendly, polite, and correct. No complaints, and I will return. Surely if one needs to have the windows open Campo S. Geremia is noisy day and night -- it's full of tourists. With the windows closed I had no problem with noise.

It was basic but served the purpose of a stopover before flying out. It was charming in an old school kind of way. My room looked out the back to a small park. The price was reasonable for the time of year and for Venice
I didn't notice in the listing that it wasn't air conditioned. It was a little warm and humid. I had the window open and there was a ceiling fan but I had to close the window because mosquitoes were coming in. It eventually cooled off later in the night. The shared shower was off of the check in lobby and you had to ask for access.

The location was close to the station and easy to find. At the same time, my room (#4) was quiet. Staying in a small, family-run hotel is the best way to experience a place like Venice and support Venetians! The proprietor was a tad gruff at first, but I found him helpful, patient and warm. He’s always on duty! I don’t get people finding him rude.
Venice has a lot of bridges, which means a lot stairs. Al Gobbo has no lift, so more stairs! That’s not really a compliant, it’s a reminder.

The location of the hotel is excellent, only a 5-minute walk from the train station. The price ratio is very high. Although the hotel facilities are a bit old, the room is very comfortable. There will be no better choice on the main island of Venice. The enthusiastic landlord grandpa will guarantee your living safety. In fact, my boyfriend and I thought he looked a lot like Dumbledore from Harry Potter. If I have the opportunity to come to Venice again, I will still choose this hotel! ! ! !
I think this hotel is perfect, I don't think there is room for improvement! ! !

The position near the railway station and the ability to leve my luggage there early in the moring before chcek-in and after check-out was very helpful, the mananger gave me a map, explained directions and how the vapporetto works. The view tovards a church on the square was a plesant bonus. The room was glean and big enough to do some pilates in the morning. There are normal grocery stores Despar and COOP not too far away as well as a pharmacy. The quiet park I have discovered just behind the hotel was a nice, unexpected bonus.
As a byproduct of its location - being on a venetian square - you do get some noise into the night - so maybe opt for a room facing the garden if you travel with children. Or use the shutters to mitigate the problem - I have slept very well once i closed them down. Also the floor is tiled, so take some slippers for getting in and out of bath.

Great location, in a vibrant (but not too noisy) square. Window view for a nice church. The house and the room were old-fashioned, but well-preserved, very nice vibes. The room and bathroom were clean. The double bed was huge and the single bed (not a sofa bed, fortunately) was very comfortable as well. Great option for three people.
It was quite humid, but that’s a general problem in Venice.
