Everything about our stay was excellent. our room was superb with a fantastic view, the breakfasts were perfect and it was easy to eat in the hotel restaurant in the evening whenever we wished and the evening meals were also high quality in a calm, peaceful restaurant. All of the staff members were impeccably polite, friendly and helpful. My husband enjoyed use of the gym. We enjoyed the fact that the location of the hotel is slightly away from the busy centre of Venice. It was straightforward to get around by Vaporetto with a stop directly in front of the hotel.

The decor is fantastic, the boat jetty immediately outside the hotel is really handy for the airport and ferries around Venice,, the breakfast was superb, the welcome drink was a lovely touch, the bed was really comfy, the windows soundproof well, the bathroom was really modern and luxurious.

The hotel come round every evening to your room and offer you more towels, completely unnecessary as the room has been cleaned earlier in the day and new towels already given then, and this is annoying by the third night having to keep answering the door to decline the offer. Not the staff members fault, she was lovely, but the hotel policy which makes her do it. Also somebody rang our room phone multiple times at 5am, we don't know who it was, either hotel staff or a fellow guest playing a prank as they just kept saying 'hello' when we answered, but it woke us up and we couldn't get back to sleep. I disconnected the phone after this.

The staff exceeded expectations by providing recommendations to restaurants and assisting us greatly with taxis and our luggage. I would definately recommend this hotel.

The coffee was ok but not top (I'm a coffee addict)

Beautifully refurbished building, with attention to detail - the same attention to detail with the service, the lady on the reception and the guy who I assume is the bar/ restaurant manager both deserve a mention as they provided an exemplary experience. The room has everything you could need, and was very comfortable. There are frescos on the second and third floor, and a balcony which can be accessed to take in the view. The breakfast had a very good choice. Canareggio is a great area to stay in, lovely walks around the quieter canals, but still within walking distance of train/ bus station and attractions.

No bad things

The location is about a 10 min walk from the train station. The is also a water taxi stop right our front. This stop takes you to St. Marks square, but it takes a long time as it stops at all stops along the way. It's hot, and crowded. So if you take it, give yourself some time. Around the corner from the hotel is another stop that takes you close to the Rialto Bridge, but it's a different taxi. Private taxis are very expensive if you would like that route. Hotel itself is fairly new, comfortable, and clean. Rooms are surprisingly big.

If you go in the summer, bring light clothes, as it was hot. We went in July, and we were sweating, so uncomfortable. But seeing the sights made it worthwhile. Do not do walking food tour as food is subpar. You can get better on your own.

The Hotel was so beautiful and the staff were absolutely amazing. The Best hotel we have stayed at in Italy for a long while!

If I am to list things that I didn't like: - the pillows were not very comfortable (didn't officially complain to the reception) - the boat station (Guglia) in front of the hotel was closed for some reason (has nothing to do with the hotel)

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms were comfortable. The shower was hot with ample pressure. The bed was a little firm for my taste, but on par with other Italian hotel mattresses. The staff was outstanding, from the front desk to the breakfast/restaurant team. Everything was first class. The only negative is the noise from the vaporetto stop (Guglie) in front of the hotel, but that could probably be solved by selecting a room without the canal view. Also, the tide was very high one day, preventing us from reaching our hotel when we returned from a tour. We realize the hotel has no control over this, but thought it was worth mentioning. We found a nice little local bar to share a Spritz and waited an hour for the water to subside.

Two things the hotel has no control over: noise outside and the high tide making the hotel unreachable for a few hours.
