It is beautiful and opulent. The room was amazing. We were welcomed with champagne and chocolates. The location is lovely and right on the canal. First time visitors to Venice (this may or may not be obvious to some) need to know that you cannot access the hotel except by foot or water taxi. We walked from Piazzale Roma with large suitcases up and down stairs etc. it’s a lot. About a mile. A water taxi will cost you 75E flat fee. The hotel should arrange for transportation for their guests at $1000 a night. Just a thought.

Breakfast should be included for what the hotel charges. We stayed in Vienna at another 5 star location and they include breakfast which is lovely. Also, not the hotels fault, but very loud drilling directly outside our room every morning at 9 am. It was really bad. Just for the sheer inconvenience they should comp something.

It is rare to find a hotel like Ca’Bonfadini. One which encompasses so many positive factors! The room was large as was the shower room. View of the canal from two canal facing windows. The room was clean - and I mean REALLY clean. The bed linen and bathroom towels were in perfect condition - not worn and tired like so many hotel towels and bedding these days. The staff were super helpful - making suggestions about restaurants as well as arranging water taxis. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in Venice and the hotel was not informed. But as soon as they found out they really spoiled us! I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We also loved that the hotel was on a canal close to stations for the public transport (water bus), close to Venice main rail station and away from the masses and noise, yet still within easy walking distance of all main attractions.

The only thing I can mention is no iron in the room. I appreciate why, but in todays age there are intelligent irons that switch themselves off if left unattended.

From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave it was an exceptional experience. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and worth every penny spent. The hotel is immaculately clean and centrally located. The rooms have your own expresso machine at no extra charge and complimentary waters. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend you treat yourself. They also have a Michelin star restaurant in which I would have loved to try but did not get the opportunity. If I had one complaint , was that if you don’t get breakfast with your room rate they charge $40 Euros per person for breakfast. Thats quite expensive for breakfast,so we would just get a bite at the closest cafe.

I wanted to cancel this booking after my poor experience at the Grand Palace Hotel Verase which is part of the same group. Even though they had three days notice, the hotel refused to cancel so I feared the worst….but there was no need to panic. This hotel is excellent and deserving of the regular praise that travellers have bestowed upon them. The style remains classic but with a very modern update and the suite and facilities are a charm. You won’t go wrong choosing here for your stay or special occasion.

It is a very clean hotel, great location with friendly staff. It is close to shopping and dinning area. Hotel arranged the transportation for us from airport with car and boat. They did arrange it perfectly. They also welcoming us with delicious pastry and great bottle of champagne.

Our overall experience of the hotel was fantastic - on arrival we were upgraded to a Junior Suite, which was lovely. The location is spot on and the staff are very welcoming and friendly.

Our overall experience of the hotel was fantastic - but unfortunately the breakfast was a real disappointment, and it was not cheap 40Euros per person. Although the food was ok it was too fussy. It would be nice to have had an option to have breakfast on a terrace or outside. The dining room felt formal. When we come again we will take breakfast out. We were also over-charged for Mini Bar. This was sorted immediately by form of a refund, however, had we had not checked we would have paid over 35 Euros extra.

Staff were very friendly. Food was incredible. Loved having the option of a bath or shower. Bed was very comfortable after a long day of exploring. Everything was very well maintained/ clean.

Only thing that slightly let it down was as we were leaving with lots of bags/ cases it would have been nice for someone to help us onto the street or at least opened the door for us

The property was very clean, quiet, and the decor was very very Venetian! We absolutely loved our room and we felt like Royalty. Location was very good because it was far enough away from the tourists and in a part of the city that has charm and is not as over priced as the busier parts of town. It is also very walkable to everything, including Piazzale Roma if you’re traveling without too much luggage. The staff was very pleasant and very helpful! I felt like they went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay and we certainly did!

Nothing really. We did not eat at the Hotel. I would have appreciated a spa but that’s not a complaint.

Beautiful and quite location away from the center and its crowds just near a nice canal. Nice size bathrooms with a shower and a bath. nice big tv. Staff was super helpful with all our questions about venice. This hotel is easily accessible by vaporetto directly from the airport.

Room was a little more expansive that what i would consider as fair value for money (but it was high season in venice...)

We have arrived at 10 am at the hotel and were very happy to hear that our room is available so we can rest and refresh after the flight. we boked the mini suite with the canal views and when we entered the room the the room was WOW- we felt like royalty! it is a huge stunning room with walls painted! the views to the canal are stunning! The location is perfect in a quiet area close to everything. We loved staying there !!
