Location of this hotel was incredible. We got the best suprise when we opened the window shuttering windows. The Grand Canal was right in front of us with all the vibe of cafes and tourists. The noise was not an issue as as soon as you shut the windows and wooden window shutters, it quiet. Phot provided of view from balcony. There was also another balcony on other wall, also with a good view of the street. Great if you like people watching. Bed & pillows very comfortable. The 4 post bed was rather luxurious. Large, well appointed bathroom with good water pressure in shower.

We were chilly one night and couldn't seem to adjust the heat pump. We asked reception, and the staff member came to our room to personally attempt to adjust it unsuccessfully. It would appear the heat pumps were only for heat management i the summer. We were unhappy about this, so he gave us too extra duvet covers. The staff member spoke some basic english but obviously he had misunderstood us as on day we left, we found oil filled heaters behind the curtains.

Perfect location and great place to stay with so many amenities locally. The room was abundantly spacious, clean and quiet. Bathroom was also spacious. Our balcony view with our terrace overlooking the canal was picturesque. Location to major attractions was easy. There is also a water ferry right nearby to transport you to airport or around the islands. We found everything in this place accomodating and the staff kindly assisted with a chair lift for our heavy luggage. The rooms are on the first floor but there is a stair chair lift in need. Staff were extremely helpful and totally recommend this place to stay.

Hotel is on great location. It is very clean and staff is really helpful and friendly. It is perfect for a short stay. You have a fridge in a room which can be helpful. Room has also air conditioning, there is no central ventilation so there is no that annoying buzzing sound. There are mosquitoes in Venice at night but you have a mosquito in socket repelent in disposal in the room.

Rooms are lot smaller than on the pictures. There is not enough space for clothes if you are staying longer than 3 days. View is not on a canal but on a side street.

Location is great. It is close to the local busstation and water-bus stop to the airport, restaurants and the main streets. The room is decorated as antique furniture with the windows opening to the street. It was a good experience us to open the window and you are looking to the crowd in narrow street. The staff was so kind and helpful. Some small requests are fulfilled at the reception, thanks. The beds are comfortable. Safebox and refrigerator available.

The breakfast was extra-charge and expensive. Before going out the crowd in Venice, it could be great to have some small bakery and coffee. The reception desk and rooms are on the upper floor. You have to carry all your items to the upstatirs (no elevator). But the worst part is there is a handicapped stair lift but it is out-of-service. I wonder how an handicapped person can stay at the hotel? How about this person arrives to the hotel late and there is no other accommodation option?

The location to the train station is excellent. It is a quiet area compared to the main area, which we really liked. There are lots of great restaurants, shopping and much less crowded. The reception staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, especially Elmi. She even helped with getting porter service for our bags to the station.

Just be prepared, the room is quite small and we even upgraded to a deluxe room. The bathroom was very small, especially the shower. Lots of stairs, there is a lift, but you need to get up the first flight to get to reception and elevator. All not a problem for us, but might be for some.

The hotel was very well located close to cafes, shops and vaporeto La Guglie stop, 13 mins walking to airport bus and train station. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Big plus is the AC unit in the room, which was much needed in August when I visited and also served as a white noise machine.

There are two floors of stairs to walk up to get to rooms, so it’s not very disabled or stroller friendly. The walls are a little thin, so if you are a light sleeper be aware. Location is very lively and street noise is heard from room.

I am solo traveller and have been staying for 4 nights. All white and new deco in my room made the room bright and cheerful. I wish most of hotels use white on wall and floor like this so that it will show dirt or bugs if there's any. Bed and room temperature are comfortable to stay in. Location is 10 mins away from train station and 3 mins from the public boat pier. The lady receptionist is very friendly. Love this mini hotel and highly recommend.

It would be better to have free bottle water supply in the room for the price I paid for the room. A little suggestion, outside red wall of the hotel needs some re-paint to make its appearance more attractive. Staff should check toilet paper supply in the room everyday so that I didn't have to ask for it one day.

Hotel Marte is in a great location. All the staff were lovely and very friendly. Elmi was wonderful and very helpful. Elmi gave us directions to all the sites and some restaurants and made us feel at home, such lovely lady . The hotel is very clean, our room was beautiful, The bed was very comfortable, we slept well. It was peaceful and quiet in the evening we had a wonderful view from our window (we stayed mid week until Saturday). The hotel does not provide meals, however they do provide a lovely breakfast on request. There are quite a few stairs to the reception area. However there is a stair lift for anyone who needs it. Also there is an elevator from the reception area to the floors where the rooms are. We will definitely be coming back. And I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice. Thank you to Elmi, the reception staff and the house keeping staff (cleaners) for a a fantastic stay.

Everything was really nice nothing bad to say.

Location was perfect on one of the canals.. Short walk to several vaporetto stops, airport shuttle and lots of restaurants, cafes and shops in the Cannaregio area. Hotel is totally renovated inside. There is a set of stairs to get to reception but after that there is an elevator. I had breakfast a few times for 12 Euros which was very good but there are many options in the area. Thanks to two staff members Elmi and Leonardo who were so friendly and helpful with all my questions. I spent a week with them and I was sad to leave

My experience at Hotel Marte was totally positive. They even emailed me to ask if I preferred a double bed to the twin I had booked. I liked that it wasn't as hectic in the area but close enough to get everywhere. I would stay here again.

The hotel is a charming piece of the Venice landscape. Step out the door to a welcoming waterfront restaurant, jasmine flowers, breakfast place, and 200m to art supplies, wine shop and water transport to airport all right on the canal next to beautiful bridge and on the main walking route from train station to everything. Staff was friendly and helpful. We got a confirmation email reminder the day before arrival. Clean and peaceful.

If you need space or non-skid, be aware the style is beautiful clean slick white floors, so check with a human there (before 10pm Italy time) about mobility needs.
