Amazing location, helpful staff and beautiful hotel.

We booked a junior suite which didn’t look like the picture at all here on booking.com. It didn’t have the sofa and looked much smaller, had a different design too. After we complained, we got the room that was advertised. We were told that the pictures here on the site are just an example and every room is different. I’m not sure if it’s true or not but in this case, they should advertise with the most basic room in the category, not the best one, so it’s a pleasant surprise. We felt, however, that the hotel tried to give us a lower category room for the price of the suite in the hope that we accept it so they could sell the nicer one to someone else. We don’t appreciate that they tried to scam us so be careful.

Excellent stay at all levels. We arrived from the airport directly via a taxi boat to the hotel which has its own private take/off balcony. We loved the hotel as everything was great: the rooms were spacious and elegantly decorated, includes all facilities and extra you'd think of. Also breakfast was fine and generous and the breakfast hall is just marvelous, it takes you on a trio back in time. Also one has to mention that they have top-notch concierges which know the city in and out - excellent recommendations were given to us and we were never disappointed. Chapeau bas!

We are family of 2 adults and 8 years old son stayed for 4 nights at junior suite. Actually after mentioning before arrival that we are going to have wedding event during our stay and asked for few advises, hotel made extra mile and upgraded our room to one that has absolutely the best views from the windows directly to the lagoon. Staff was the best ever - very polite, attentive, professional. Also we were allowed to make photo session in special places that had beautiful views to Venice. Room was spacious, had everything what is needed. Room service working excellent. Hotel location is absolutely the best ever and San Marco square is literally round the corner. All in all hotel made our stay unforgettable and I would stay in this hotel next time I visit Venice.

Breakfast was a bit limited and the same each day, no any changes. Meanwhile service during breakfast was the highest quality.

Excellent service from the kindest staff ! Beautiful luxurious hotel in fine top area. The staff makes you feel incredibly welcome. Maintenance staff is highly discreet. Hygiene is top ! To all employees: congratulations. Nothing was too much for them. You could ask anything. The restaurant in the hotel is amazing, the food is excellent. The bar is very beautiful.

I can't think of anything negative, so this is nitpicking : Considering the price/rate, the breakfast could have been a little bit more luxurious, Breakfast was very good, but not excellent. : e.g. someone should have asked how you prefer your egg and prepared it on the spot. A wider variety such as freshly baked wafers and pancakes etc. should have been offered - Orange juice should have been freshly pressed and served. The beautiful historical room in which the breakfast buffet was located was however breathtaking.

I would consider this one of the best locations to stay in Venice. private water taxis can drop you off and take you to the train station or airport from the door of the hotel. 30 steps from San Marco Piazza. The room was quite large, very old traditional styling but clean. The staff were so very helpful with absolutely everything. Our luggage was delayed on KLM and arrived at midnight on the mainland. They helped coordinate the delivery to our rooms the next morning while we were shopping. You can get to and from the airport on a private taxi either called or scheduled for 140 euros. About 80 to the train station. The restaurant was very good. A bit eccentric as one would expect from a highly rated restaurant in Venice. Some Americans like us may find it more of a culinary experience challenging our palette as opposed to well executed traditional Italian food.

If you’re concerned about the cost, we spent about $4,500 for a 3 night stay and we’re not disappointed. I would not see the need to upgrade to an even more expensive room. We overlooked a back street just up from Tiffany’s and that was fine. not sure I would want to look over a canal with the boats, sounds, and smells.

Everything - the room was a Junior Suite, number 151 and very comfortable. Apart from a few small scuff and chip marks on the painted coffee table in the lounge area , everything was very well maintained. There was not much of a view from the windows but then again, we did not come to Venice to look out the hotel windows...

The sausage at breakfast - real meat sausages like pork and beef bangers would have been far more befitting the rest of the breakfast, instead of the bologna (?) sausage they served. Otherwise the breakfast selection is very good indeed.

The interiors at our hotel were extravagant. The property Baglioni Luna is the oldest in all of Venice and is from the exclusive collection of the Leading Hotels of the World. The hotel has the best location in all of Venice and the service standards are very high and genuine. Our suite had the best views and was baroque in style with Murano chandeliers which deserves to be photographed and appreciated. The walls were draped in decadent velvet and as guests, we were made to feel like the protagonists of Martin Campbell's 'Casino Royale’. The reception manager Marco Scaramal was courteous and caring and always so concerned about our comfort and well being. Our interactions with the staff throughout the property made us truly feel special and important.

There is nothing to fault in the property.

The location in Venice was excellent. We were upgraded to a luxury suite with outstanding facilities and a welcome bottle of Champagne. The suite also came with a terrace overlooking the city and Lagoon. The staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful. It was a truly memorable stay and we were very fortunate to have had such excellent service in such a good hotel.

Although excellent in every way described and recognising that it is a five star hotel at a good location in Venice, the overall costs (for rooms and the restaurant) were very high.

Hotel room lovely and Staff attentive. we missed breakfast due to early flight and Consierge got us Cappuccinos! Location Exceptional for Basilica San Marco, Bridge of Sighs and only 6 min walk to Rialto. Designer Shops on the doorstep. Hotel Bistro very good. Didn’t have any other meals so can’t comment.

Hotel didn’t tell us about how to get the air in going so left windows open for / nights as we thought it was broken. We only realised reception have to switch it on downstairs after overhearing another guest talking about the A/C. Equally we could’ve asked.
