Upgraded to a canal view room Room very spacious for a family Bed and facilities great

Great hotel but extremely disappointed with the service on check in we asked for a water taxi to be booked this morning for 9.15am as we had a train at 9.56am This morning when we asked about the water taxi at check out we were told just wait at the door. At 9.20 the man made a call and said the taxi had been caught in traffic At 9.25 he made a call and he was told there was no booking for 9.15 only 10.15 So he directed us to the water bus We arrived at the train station as the train was pulling away. The staff not booking us a water taxi as requested has cost us another €152 and we had to wait 5hrs for the next train If we had of been told the first time there was no booking we would have made the train. Don’t trust the staff to help you just book things yourself

The price was definitely more reasonable than most especially since we stayed there during the holiday season so we were already expecting for the prices to be high. The rooms were also huge and the beds were comfortable. They may need a bit of upgrading of facilities but it doesn't really mean that the current rooms are not good enough.

While we chose the place because of the price and because we saw that it's in a quieter area, since my companions were my parents who are a bit older now, I failed to estimate that the location would still feel quite far from the main attractions of the city. However, it's still good that it's still somehow near the water bus stops.

We absolutely loved our stay at Residenza Cannaregio in Venice, it was so quiet , still an easy walk to all the restaurants and wine bars. It was so easy to find following maps on my phone once we got off the bus/boat. Which you catch from the main entrance of Venice Island to all the different outskirts of the island. A water Taxi can take you to the door but we opted against this as the Vaporetto was easy and cheaper option.

Nothing really!! It was clean, the carpet appeared to be brand-new with an ornate design to fit the style of the building. Only 3 steps the rest is all on one level. It was air-conditioned, the bed was comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. It is well-located: not in the touristic part of the city, but close enough to all the main things, including historical places, water transport and train station. We particularly liked having an opportunity to experience a bit of a true and quiet Venice. Our room (family) was in a great condition: clean and spacious. This hotel has something special in it..maybe due to the history or a location.. and we really enjoyed our time there.

Nothing really negative. Our room was a two-levels accommodation and upper section was notably warmer. This is basic physics :-) and kids loved it because they stayed there.

This location was less than 15 min walk from the train station, in the quiet, beautiful neighborhood of Cannaregio. Cannaregio itself is so picturesque and bustling with many places to eat and drink. We had such a great time just walking along the Canal de Misericordia. It was so easy to get to every point of interest from here, we were able to walk to vaporetto, St Marks Square, and just explore different parts of Venice. The hotel facilities were amazing, had great modern amenities like AC, kettle, coffee machine, mini bar (for additional fee), TV, room safe with number pad. Used a key card to enter our room and use the appliances once inside. The hotel staff were so friendly and accommodating and eager to help. We stayed in a room with a canal view and highly recommend if you can, you can catch the most beautiful views during sunrise.

We were able to hear some sounds from the room above us, but luckily we are heavy sleepers (especially after walking around Venice) and didn’t have any issues falling asleep.

We are a family of 5 travelling in Dec and we booked the family suite. There were two King beds on upper deck and a sofa bed on lower floor. Ample space to accomodate us. On arrival the check in was smooth and we appreciate Eric's recommendation of some good restaurants nearby for dinner. The staff were helpful and rooms were very clean.

The heating in the room was unbearably hot and we had to request to tune down the temperature. Water in the shower too was very hot and scalding to the skin. It feels like we are bring cooked and boiled when we take the shower!! We had to drain it for a good ten minutes before anyone can take a shower. It feels the thermostat in the rooms had a serious issue. The room could help with more lighting as it was very dark even in the day.

Nice modern room. Good location which is 15-20 walk to or from the train station and not far from shops and restaurants. Lemon water available in the lobby. Nice helpful staff. Awesome air conditioning and wifi. They gave me some ice. Right off one of the canals so we were able to call for a water taxi. I would stay here again.

They ran out of towels. We only had a couple medium sized ones and a small hand towel. It wasn't a big deal for us. I could of checked if they had more the next morning but we were pressed for time. The shower door barely had enough room to close so you have to be careful.

Although further out than other hotels was within walking distance of bustling bars and restaurants. Make sure you book for the weekends as lots of tourists and locals drink till the early hours. It is a 15/20 walk from the railway station but gives you opportunity to walk through the city and get your bearings. We used the luggage boys to transport our luggage, €10 a case but worth it in 35 degrees!!

If blue leather is your thing, great. Large room with a mezzanine level, quite warm though. The A/C in our room didn’t work and was controlled centrally as opposed to each room. Complained and was given another room where the A/C worked fab. Georgia on reception was fantastic for organising and couldn’t apologise enough. They are currently undergoing a refurb, the new rooms look modern.

This place is spacious (for Venice). We had a living area and a bed on the next floor. The room was spacious, the location was quiet, and the breakfast was amazing! It was probably the best spread we saw in our travels in Italy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is literally at the end of the island, and at first glance feels like there are no restaurants/bars around. However, there are plenty of restaurants within 300 meters of the place. This makes it quiet and convenient. I would certainly stay here again if I came back to Venice.

I could think of nothing we didn't like other than that it was far away from the main areas (Grand Canal, Piazza San Marco, etc.). This may be a positive if you want a quiet place to stay and get a glimpse of how the locals live on the island. You can easily access one of the Actv "buses" that connect to the Grand Canal or the Piazza San Marco or take a leisurely walk on the island.
