room and bathroom are very clean and tidy, very venetian feel. It's very spacious for our family of 5. Wifi is very good. Even though there is no lift as we understand as not a very tall building, we managed to get in easily. as advised, don't bring big luggages. The neighborhood is very quiet, you van only hear the birds chirping in the morning and the bell ringing. We love the fact that our AC is working in the heat of summer. Location is very central to almost everything. its so easy to navigate from where we were. It's near coop store so it's easy to just run there for some breakfast needs. Rialto Market and Bridge is literally 5 minutes and close to restaurants. Matteo was very helpful, he started m,essaging us the day before we left and giving us all the updates and guiding us how we to getb thre from the airport, sending video of the area and to the hotel with all the instructions. The lady at the desk also kindly sent us jug of milk as we were not able to get from the store, then every morning they have been leaving a jug of milk in the fridge. also the other lady receptionist was very kind to help us print our boarding passes. Overall very happy and satisfied with our stay. If we were to come back again to Venice we would stay there again. We will recommend to friends looking for a central Venice location with good price and room amenities.

Great location, only 20 min walking from train station. We arrived by plane and took a bus to piazzale Roma Terminal Station. We bought the tickets in the airport machine, and validated the tickets right before entering the bus. From there we decided to take the boat line 1 to Ca’doro stop which is super close to the hotel. We opt to not take the Alilaguna Boat from airport since we were advised not to. Location is great, the Hotel is outside tourist area but still close enough to everything. Rooms felt a bit outdated but they were clean, I guess it is just a Venice thing. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

Shower was super small/tight, if you drop the soap it is hard to pick it up but the water pressure was great.

Fantastic Stay at Hotel Mezzo Pozzo! We recently had a wonderful 2-night stay at Hotel Mezzo Pozzo in Venice with a group of 5 adults and a 5-year-old child, and everything was simply amazing. The location in the Cannaregio district was perfect, close enough to all the main attractions but tucked away in a quiet, charming area that allowed us to experience a more authentic side of Venice. The staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated in traditional Venetian style, providing us with the perfect mix of comfort and atmosphere. The beds were comfortable, and despite the city’s vibrant nature, the hotel remained a peaceful retreat at night. Traveling with a young child can sometimes be tricky, but the hotel made it very easy for us. Our 5-year-old daughter loved the space, and the staff went out of their way to make her feel welcome. Thank you to the staff for making our stay so memorable!

We loved our stay at Mezzo Pozzo! The staff were wonderful, so helpful and friendly! We kept seeing them out and about and they’d still help us with where to go. Great sized apartment for Venice, we all felt safe and cosy in the one big room, which had 3 single beds and a double bed. Tea/coffee facilities, tv, large windows, a little table and two chairs. Great sized bathroom, gorgeous communal dining room for all to use, wine glasses and cutlery etc provided. Typical Venetian decor which we loved! Located in a little street that was a bit tricky to find but so sweet once u do! Close to everything! Go get lost in Venice!

That we only stayed 3 nights, my husband and I will be back without our three kids, all in good time haha ;-)

Fabulous hotel full of Venetian history. It was such an honor to stay in a place furnished with antique details and furniture, Murano glass chandeliers and mirrors, beautiful palace type curtains and historical atmosphere. The check-in was flexible and we received great video instructions to the location. Communication was fast and friendly. We enjoyed the tasty breakfast delivered to the room sitting in the balcony, but there was also a beautiful saloon available. Rooms were quiet, beds soft and everything you need for a comfortable stay. This is the hotel for people interested in architectural heritage.

The location was amazing! The staff was friendly and accommodating and the hotel was comfortable. Good value for what we paid. We were able to walk right out of our hotel door and be around shops and attractions. We enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in a junior suite which we thought would have had two rooms, but it did not. We did have a private bath, which some of the rooms did not. It did accommodate our family of 5 but it was cramped. The price was right for the limited amount of time we spent there. We were out most days from morning till night. The apartment they offer may have been better suited for our family. Also, be prepared if you have luggage and walk to the property from the train station! There are a lot of stairs along the path to get to the hotel. The water taxi was expensive (180 euros), so we walked, it took about 35 minutes. Next time I will pack a lot lighter!

Fairly centrally located, must have been very interesting history, friendly staff and lots of windows to open to air dry our stuff as it rained when we arrived. Usually we have to book 2 rooms to accommodate our family of 5 but they had a family room which was amazing

I knew there was not an elevator when I booked but I didn’t realize how narrow and how many stairs there would be. My mom mentioned she wished she had asked about the hotel’s history or there was a written pamphlet in the room. It doesn’t seem like it was always a hotel

We had the Doge room, very big for a family of four. Decoration is uniquely traditional, adding to our experience. The hotel offers convenient luggage storage after check-out -- we were offered the use of bathroom when getting our luggage. The lobby has plugs for charging personal devices as well.

The front desk operates 8am-8pm. We arrived around 8:20pm and don't use WhatsApp, the hotel's preferred method of communication. The hotel did attempt to reach us via phone the previous day but we dismissed it as spammers since the phone number is different from what they publish on their website. After about 10-minute panic locking outside our hotel not knowing how to check in, the receptionist appeared behind us -- she was manning two neighboring hotels at the same time and could see us via the camera. It was good from there on.

The hotel was situated in an old building, right in the heart of the city, not on the main noisy road Strada Nova, but very close to it and in a quiet area. The room was nicely decorated inside and the corridors, too, and providing the spirit of the epoque. The room was comfortable, well maintained, organised for three people. The hotel did offer breakfast, but we did not use it as the weather was very nice outside. The location was safe. The photos of the room are the same as the actual situation. The staff were very nice, helpful, careful about our needs and proactive to allow us to have the best experience possible in Venice. We would highly recommend and will come back again to this hotel.

Nothing, but just be aware that there is no lift for people that cannot use stairs.

A cute little hotel, great value for the location, which is fantastic. A quiet backstreet but still incredibly central for attractions and transport making it very easy to get around. The cleaning team were excellent, and the staff generally very friendly and helpful. Would generally recommend for a Venice stay.

The hotel were very clear about it, but the room was up three steep flights of stairs, which won’t suit everyone. The very steep pitch of the ceiling wasn’t completely clear when booking and the ceiling was very low indeed - both me at 5’7 and my husband at 6’6 hit our heads several times. The only two real improvements I would recommend would be the addition of a mirror somewhere besides the bathroom; and some real attention to improving the shower. The pressure and temperature were really not brilliant, unfortunately.
