The hotel was an absolute gem! The hotel’s location was perfect, very close to all the places we visited as well as located in a quiet neighborhood. The breakfast gave us such a great kick to start the day, it was super delicious with a stylish yet tasty buffet. We were leaving early the last night so we even got breakfast packed for us! The staff was very helpful too. My husband and I loved it and more than just recommend it to stay at.

We stayed for two nights at Hotel Santa Marina. The hotel is really well located: close to Rialto Bridge, St Marks square etc. It was easy to get to any area of Venice, including stops to the northern islands. There are great food options a short walk from the hotel: restaurants, take aways and a small grocery store. The staff was friendly especially breakfast staff (two ladies) was just brilliant and really helpful. Only one thing what we didn’t like was the view from the room.

The room was fantastic, really something else. I'd suggest he difference in size 'twixt normal and superior room was the entrance hall, though that did mean there was no suitcase holder in the bedroom space takiing up valuable floor-space, so this was good. The wardrobe too, wuth safe inside, was in the lobby, again freeing up bedroom space. The furnishngs, Jacuzzi bath, wallcovering (beautiful padded material) and bedside lights (Murano Glass) were simply stunning - Suoer high end. Ostentatious and 'over the top' Venice style - brilliant. Loation was excellant as just off the beaten track so central, but quiet (just a few minutes walk from Rialto. Breakfast hot and cold was wonderful, high quality and a great selection; as an aside, the brealfast waitress spoke at least 4 languages and was both attentive and efficient. Food was deliscious.

The hotel room was lovely and ours in particular was great due to the private backdoor entry which meant we didn't have to go all the way through the lobby and hotel to get to our room. The location was also about a 5 minute walk to Rialto bridge and less than 10 minutes from St. Mark's Plaza.

The front desk staff wasn't very friendly or welcoming except for the gentleman that helped us with our luggage on the last day or the woman at the front desk that provided us with transportation guidance on our last day. The somewhat cold welcome upon arrival despite very little verbal exchange was off putting and not the best way to greet guests. In the bathroom, the shower design also wasn't the best. Essentially while taking a shower, the main faucet for the bathtub is right below you and sticks out at knee-level, making it a serious tripping hazard and easy way to bruise your shins if you aren't watching where you're stepping/standing.

The location was fabulous, an easy stroll to Rialto bridge. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delightful and plentiful. We appreciated the residents only little bar area after a long day sightseeing.

The room was far too hot. Beware of sleeping with the windows open as we were bitten by mosquitoes.

The staff did a great job upon arrival of helping orient us to the area of the city, transport and local amenities. The room was very comfortable and while the decor was slightly dated, clean and fashionable none the less. The little pub and eatery were great. Across the small square is a great little bakery as well. Walking to the major attractions or water transport terminals was convenient and this stay was exactly what we needed as a family. The bedroom did not have a door to separate it from the other bedroom with twin beds for the kids, only a cased opening, but this is a common style noted only for information. For us, we will be back due to the staff, location, value and comfort.

Good location, clean rooms (cleaning every day). Overall - we received all what we expected and even more. Friendly and helpful personal was always ready to help, reception open 24/7. Additionally I want to mention breakfast - it was perfect, very tasty, with good variety of dishes and nice coffee. Planning to stay here on our next visit to Venice, highly recommend.

Great hotel in superb location centrally in Venice. Easy to get to nd from everything. The employees were really nice, and the service was great. The breakfast was also really good with a lot of options for being southern Europe. The last day I got ill, and they even served me breakfast in bed, free of charge. The room also looked exactly like the pictures.

Only negative thing about the hotel is the bed was quite hard and the pillows not very comfortable.

Amazing hotel, perfect location close to Rialto but hidden away in a quiet square. Cute ‘jewellery box’ room in typical venetian decor. Excellent breakfast with cappuccino to order, eggs a la carte and amazing pancakes. Would recommend it to friends and book again when staying in venice.

Nothing, it was perfect!

Almost everyone from the staff was outstandingly friendly and service minded, we especially liked the fresh made eggs and fresh orange juice at the breakfast. The decor was beautiful and everything was clean and well taken care of. The area was very calm & quiet, even though the hotel is placed super central and close to all the must sees.

Actually the pillows were a little bit hard, but we forgot to ask for another one. We would probably have gotten another one if we did.
