It was hot in the room - a small fan in the room would have made it better.

the hotel was in an excellent location for walking and public/ private transportation. there were plenty of restaurants, bars and ice cream nearby and really bustling. we didn’t hear the noise from the room but the view was great. the room was cute looking with the Venetian wall covering and beautiful chandelier. the room was very small but it was enough for us for two nights. the bathroom was beautiful and bigger than I thought it would be.

we weren’t able to get fully functional air conditioning to the temperature we were looking but overall it was a great stay and really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful room with a view over the square together with a stunning bathroom. Staff were very helpful with information about where to go and the best place to eat and drink. Breakfast in the square in the morning is a joy.

A slight issue with the air con system to get it a lower temperature but this really wasn't a big deal. Breakfast is a additional cost and you have to reserve it the day before. There are additional charges whilst staying in the city, the city tax must be paid when checking out, so keep that in mind. Bring change with you.

Lovely room, small single but generous (and very comfortable) bed. Great view of the square outside. Cleaning in room/bathroom done to exceptional standard. Most of the staff were lovely and very welcoming.

The breakfast, looked at first sight to be generous but it wasn’t always fresh. i wouldn’t chose breakfast there again (although I would drink their coffee)

The room has a beautiful Venetian style, the buffet breakfast was nice and the hotel location was great - at a walking distance from cool places, and relatively quiet even though it is located on a main square. I was also surprised to receive small presents waiting for me in the room.

The room is tiny. While I generally appreciate hotels which offer small rooms suitable to people who travel alone, I believe this was a little bit too pricey for the size of the room.

We stayed in the completely refurbished room number 1 which was wonderful: great view onto the square and the restaurants. We just needed to walk out of the front door to be in the middle of it all. Great location and all the sites are easy to reach by foot. Very friendly and helpful staff. From the carpark at Piazzale Roma, we took the water taxi linea 2 which took us via the Canale Grande to the stop "Accademia". From there, it is about 1-2 minutes on foot to reach the hotel. All very easy.

We loved the service. Fabulous team, special mention to Giovanni, Eleonora and gentlemen who had the night shift. The rooms were Victorian giving you the experience of living in Venice. Extremely thoughtful welcome package with goodies. As all Venice rooms, this one was small as well but very well planned and comfortable. Bang in the middle of Piazza San Stefano and few steps away from Academia Bridge really was a perfect spot.

Nothing of any major value. Wife would’ve liked a full length mirror. They have one which is part of the Bathroom door.

My bathroom what was separated from the room what not was best option for privacy in the hotel corridor. When I left the hotel I ask for advice regarding taxi for my new direction I was informed I need to book with hotel two taxis. One from hotel to bus station for 70 euro and one from bus station to hotel La Noghera for 130 euro however I used public transport and was cost me 9 euro instead of 200 euro. The safety box blocked and after staf try to open still not working and I refused after to be see by someone else. Water pressure for shower 🚿 it's low and the sink working even slower.

The location is close to the Grand Canal and therefore easy to get to various attractions in Venice. The staff at the front desk were terrific, helpful and most welcoming. The room was well appointed and comfortable. We were presented a gift box upon arrival of various travel essentials that was unexpected and nice. The room refrig had bottled water, yogurt and juice - all free to the guests -that was a first! I would definitely recommend Hotel Santo Stefano and would stay there in future visits to Venice.

Loved the friendly staff, ultra-clean spaces, and wifi that was just for my room so it worked perfectly. The location is great, just a couple minutes’ walk from Accademia , where you can take the #1 vaporetto all over the place. Super quiet, and fun decor that feels very Venetian! Lots of cafes just outside in the campo, but no noise! Magic!

The bathroom wasn’t in the room, but I knew this and had no problem with it. Would have been nice to have it attached, but it was totally no problem - the bathroom was private just for me so no waiting/sharing. I booked a “single room with external bathroom” so I knew what to expect in advance. Cleanest bathroom in all of Italy, I’m sure!
