My mom and I had a FANTASTIC stay at Locanda Al Leon. Our room was beautifully appointed! I booked a triple occupancy room as my mom and I didnt want to share a bed. Not only were there 2 beds- but my bed was in a little alcove giving us each some privacy. The rooms are VERY VERY clean! The air conditioning works amazing! The staff was extremely communicative and accommodating. We arrived late after a delayed flight- the staff left a package for me on the front desk with everything I needed to make my stay perfect! The front desk attendants were very helpful and kind. As far as location- Locanda Al Leon is perfect! There are delicious restaurants and fun shopping right outside the door!!!

We had a perfect stay at " Locanda al Leon " . The location is amazing , central , with a less than 5 min walk to San Marco square . We had a very pleasant little room with view over a small square and the classic italian scenery . The food from the downstairs restaurants was also very good . Really reccomand it !

The location was perfect. Close to the centre but just a short walk away to bliss. Restaurants in the square outside the hotel and shops. Breakfast was continental but plenty of choices and staff were so helpful as my husband had hurt his leg when we were out so the stairs to the dining room was going to be difficult. Staff gave us breakfast in our room. Marco helped with timetables for the river bus and gave us lovely ideas for restaurants we could go to for dinner. The hotel was spotless and quirky we loved it and can definitely recommend it.

The only thing that I would have liked is a mirror in the bedroom. It’s not a complaint just an observation. I need a mirror to put my contact lenses in and my husband manages to steam up the bathroom mirrors. But our stay was amazing anyway.

Been staying at this hotel several times. location, room sizes and cleanliness are very good. The staff is very polite and helpful .

Location was in a great spot with lots of little coffee shops around for the morning. Very walkable. The staff was absolutely amazing. We loved the balconies and how well decorated the hotel was. Would stay again and recommend to friends.

Obviously lots of stairs which are unavoidable. But the staff helped us carry the luggage which was awesome. The showers were a bit small- but otherwise, a great spot. Nothing else. We were very happy with it.

The room design in pure venitian style is really perfect to enjoy the city while staying in the hotel ! While not too spacy the room was very comfy, we did enjoy the place, the bed, the facilities. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The location was ideal to us : not too far from the ferry dock coming from the airport, close enough to the place saint marc and the various pedestrian axes serving the city.

I saw on some reviews that people often complain about the noise, while being myself very sensible about that aspect, it was ok for the duration of our stay. Still, i think our room was ideally located with regard to these inconveniences. As for the stairs, we add only a few steps to go to reach our bedroom, it might be more complicated depending on where your are located within the hotel (many stairs and corridors, you may have to walk and carry your luggages a little bit) Bed are a little bit too narrow.

Nice, clean room, ideally located without being too busy. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from St. Marks Sq, and the Alilaguna/Vaporetto stops, which is really convenient when arriving/leaving Venice. We were in the annex section of the hotel, which is down the side street where reception is located, away from the busy square, which meant we had very little noise at night, and minimal noise in the mornings. There is a decent size terrace accessible in the annex. Bed was comfortable, there was adequate storage space in the wardrobe.

Not an issue for us, but be aware there is a steep set of stairs you will need to haul your luggage up! Make sure you remember to keep your windows closed in the summer evenings as there is a lot of mosquitos!

Perfect Location, less than 5 minute walk to St Marks Square. We stayed 4 nights and managed to explore the whole area with ease. Staff were very friendly at the check in desk. Venetian décor added to the character, very clean and friendly cleaning staff. Bed very comfy and room was of a good size. We stayed in a double room and had a king size bed. We chose not to have breakfast but this was on offer. Could not recommend more!

being over a shop that wakes you up at 6am with deliveries and people shouting / chatting as getting coffee cakes. should be said in the description. very tidy breakfast room. only 5 small tables. very cramped. needs to be bigger.

This was our first trip to Venice so we wanted a hotel that was central to the tourist attractions. This little gem was perfect. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful. Excellent value for money, I highly recommend staying here.
