Absolutely perfect location, right on the canal, just a stones throw from Piazza San Marco. Our room overlooked the canal and we could see Bridge of Sighs from the window - amazing. Nice rooms, super comfortable bed and good breakfast. They were happy to store our bags after we checked out which was great too.

The hotel location was fab, my wife and i stayed in room 102 just above the canal you see in the main photo, was amazing to look out and see the gondalas sailing past, people singing etc really set the tone for the trip, poke your head out window and look left you can see the bridge of sighs!! St marks square 2 min walk if even, rialto bridge about 8 min walk or less, perfect location. Room had all we needed, very clean and tidy, shower amazing, mini bar cheaply priced in my opinion, and when the windows and shutters closed tight it really kept the sound and light out which was great for good night sleep (bed very comfortable too) Heading home we got a boat taxi from the hotels dock on the canal (under our rooms window), so we literally just steped out onto the private boat and away to the bus terminal, took us past rialto etc up the grand canal, great way to finish the trip. Staff friendly etc overall a fantastic stay, and i would 100% go back

If i had to pick something it would be i could hear footsteps sometimes from up above us, but was minimal and never bothered me

We've just returned from four days here. The service, from the staff at breakfast to the barman and those at the front desk, was impeccable. The location is hard to beat, just fronting onto the canal that is crossed by the Bridge of Sighs. Great breakfast, lovely cocktails alongside the canal... Hard to beat. Thank you to everyone for making this a truly memorable holiday

The only slight disappointment was that we were tempted by the advertisement of a boat trip from the hotel. After deciding to do it, we were then told we couldn't because another couple had pulled out. It was a small thing in an otherwise perfect trip and the only thing that stopped us giving perfect marks.

Excellent location situated close to St Mark's Square (100m) and on the same canal as the Bridge of Sighs which was visible from just outside the Hotel. On a side street so quiet but easy access to a number of local hospitality venues which are highly recommended. Room and bathroom on the small size for family of 3 but adequate. An historic building but maintained well and kept very clean. Good range and quality for breakfasts in the Hotel.

Transport costs around Venice are high so be careful when booking water taxi's etc. Also boats packed as was Venice in August but was expected and therefore patience required. A lot of queuing to access hisitoric buildings so be early or late in the day to enjoy more.

The hotel exceeded my expectations...the service was top notch, the view from our Jr. Suite with Canal View was amazing, the breakfast (we paid for it as an add on) had enough variety for every taste. The location is incredible... literary 2 min to St. Mark's, and we could see the Bridge of sighs when leaning out the window.

I rhough the Jr. Suite would be a bit larger...it was basically a room, with an extra single bed. We were in the 4th floor, but I believe the lower floors has higher ceilings and maybe a different setup. Still we loved it as the higher floor afforded us a view of the rooftops and St. Marks Basilica domes. The bathroom was amazing though.

We enjoyed our stay here, with a beautiful view of a few bridges, including the Bridge of Sighs! Being close enough to Piazza San Marco, yet far enough away that we didn't have to fight crowds entering our hotel was great! The room was very comfortable, quiet, and convenient. The front desk staff were very helpful when asked about water taxi and vaporetto options to get around or to depart to the airport. This hotel also offered twice daily boat rides around the canals but since our stay was short, we did not take advantage of this (for a fee) service. I would have loved to arrive back to the hotel's water entrance by boat!

We didn't have any dislikes about this location. This hotel is intentionally honoring the 18th century style of decor and we saw this in the room we stayed in. It very much added to the experience of our stay in Venice. However if you're looking for modern decor, consider setting expectations accordingly!

Hotel Colombina is exceptional in terms of the quality of every selection that goes into the hotel in general and each room in particular. From the Venwtian decor to the bathroom provisions and from the support facilities provided to the impeccable courtesy of the staff. Someone has clearly made an effort to ensure high quality. The breakfast was sumptuous, and add ons like a one-way trip to Morano made the stay that much more comfortable. Our room had a large balcony and overlooked the Bridge of Sighs. Highly recommended

A perfect stay in Venice! Rooms were traditional and very lux, plenty of room and beautiful bathroom. The location was absolutely perfect, a bit of a walk from the ferry with suitcases but it was worth it and that is to be expected in Venice. Very helpful staff and really good breakfast with continental and hot food. Given you are in the heart of Venice it was very peaceful as well, would definitely stay here again. We stayed in a Deluxe Double with Canal View.

Sometimes there was no one on the bar but its a very small negative, the place was fabulous!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beds were so comfortable with great pillows and linens. Room was beautiful with marble bathroom. Air conditioning worked great which was a huge bonus since so hot during our stay. We would sight see in the morning. Come back to room to relax and cool off from 2-6 and then go back out for drinks and dinner. So close to sights, shopping, restaurants. Easy to walk every where or take the water buses. Staff were very helpful with questions about room, where to eat and directions to attractions.

I can not think of anything that we did not like. Maybe the steps up to our room since we were in annex. They were sloped so a bit tricky for old knees.

The location is perfect for exploring Venice. The staff at the hotel were exceptional. Having a boat ramp was great for arrival by taxi from the train station. Our room had a balcony on the canal which was an added bonus. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel.
