Rooms are really tiny but have everything and bed was for me perfect (not too hard or soft). The gown and slippers were handy for the onsen (bath house) on top floor and it was handy that the TV showed how busy it was. The baths are inside and outside and on the roof. I didn't take breakfast but the food in the restaurant in the evening was unexpected (offal) but really tasty. Check in and check out was simple. One tip is that there are two APA hotels right beside each other in case your booking can't be found. Learned that the hard way🤫.it's very handy for train station and airport line metro (150 m). The hotel does sway gently during an earthquake which is a bit disconcerting when you are not used to that being normal.

They don't clean the rooms every day but they leave you a bag with everything instead. It's a bit of a waste since I didn't need the extra stuff. Apart from that I have nothing to complain about.

Close to Hakata Station which has many places to eat and easy to ride various transportation modes. I would have rated this hotel higher except for the checking-in issue I had. I reserved 2 rooms for 2 nights, however, they only had my daughter's room reserved, and for whatever reason the staff could not find my reservations. Thankfully, I had my Booking.com confirmation email, and finally, after several minutes and difficulty communicating due to the language barrier, they found my reservations and were able to check in. The staff was very nice, it was just frustrating having this issue. We had breakfast coupons, and breakfast was great. I thought it was very authentic and the staff was very helpful. Rooms are small and enough for 1 person for a couple of days.

Check-in was confusing and frustrating but it all worked out well. Checking out at 10 am seems a bit early since check-in was at 3 pm. Most hotels allow checkout at 11 am or 12 pm.

I loved that all the amenities were provided. The TV app was really cool too, able to tell me useful information like the weather and amount of people using the public bath (onsen). Also the bathroom had a small but deep tub, so I could have a private onsen experience if I didn't feel like using the public one. I'd say it was overall really cozy in the room, but also very professional as it's a business hotel.

The ensuite toilet is maybe 2 inches or so off the ground, so accessibility is a bit cumbersome. If you'd like to shower in the room, you'd have to step into the tall tub as well to take that into account if you have mobility issues. The bed was also more on the harder side, so not the most comfortable but still overall good. Do note that luggage storage is under the bed.

I spent 3 nights in this hotel to spend a weekend in Fukuoka. The hotel location is really good next to Hakata station if you take Shinkansen and really close from the airport. As a solo traveler, the room was clean and comfortable. The check-in is really fast and an host was here to help if needed. The facility of the hotel were really good especially the onsen, everything was clean inside and it was a real + to go here after a long day of walking. Even when I’m going to Tokyo I usually choose APA Hotel and I’m always satisfied !

I made reservation on the spot and my app was acting up. The staff on duty were kind enough to assist. The open air onsen was amazing. The Big screen TV was good to relax and chromecast whatever I wanted to binge on.

Breakfast was just okay. No English breakfast. Less protein. Some sections of the kitchen were not really clean especially the water/milk/tea/ juice stations.

1. That we were able to extend our check out time to 1:00 in the comfort of our own room. No need to go down to the lobby and arrange for our extension. It was so thoughtful. The location was perfect. It was near enough to Hakata Station but within a quiet neighborhood with so many food, coffee shops and convenience store options around.

It would be nice if the housekeeping team would get the used towels when replacing with new ones. We ended up with a bunch of towels inside our room. But this is nothing compared to the convenience and comfort of our stay.

The air conditioning was not operational in our rooms for a couple of days - accompanied by a hotel explanation that it was centrally controlled dependent on weather. This was the only unsatisfactory element of our stay. The rooms are excellent but compact and air conditioning makes them infinitely more pleasant. Toward the end of our stay, the air conditioning was back and very pleasant - the operation of the air conditioning should be at the behest of the customer, not the hotel. Apart from this, the stay in this hotel was excellent and the onsen baths were wonderful.

APA really improved its image. I have stayed in APA Hotels in the past and I did not really like my experience. The bathroom always had a strange mildew odor. The one I stayed at in Aomori had black mold on the bathroom walls and it was quite smelly. But this new APA Hotel has beautiful clean rooms, no smelly bathrooms, delicious breakfast buffets, and great service at a reasonable price. The Hakata APA was only a 5 minute walk from the station. I definitely recommend this hotel.

I can't think of anything I didn't like. I really liked this hotel very much.

Location is very close to Hakata station, easy to find. Room is very well equipped and clean. Shower in the room is so powerful and excels many hotels in Europe. Room is clean and bed is comfortable. Self-checkin process is interesting. There was a pack of ready made easy cooking food (I thought it was a book or DVD) at checkin as a gift.

Onsen is a bit small with limited lockers, therefore had to queue, but satisfactory. I couldn’t use hotel WiFi, because I couldn’t find the user name and password, which according to the instruction they can be found on TV, but my TV didn’t have the Home page or the Home key on the remote control was not working. There was no sticker physically on the TV either. The receptionist couldn’t help.

Classic APA hotel. All service and compliance standards are met as in any other hotel of this chain. As always - nothing outstanding, but nothing to criticize - minimalism and comfort for reasonable money. But this hotel specifically has one advantage - an amazing onsen. Stylish and spacious, one of the best that hotels can have.

We waited 15 minutes for the elevator to go down from the 3rd floor. This is too much. And this is a problem for all hotels in this chain.
