This is a luxurious hotel in a great location in Kobe (a short walk to the waterfront and Chinatown). The room was one of the biggest we've had on our trip and it was clean and comfortable. We had a very nice view of the hills of Kobe, but I wish we'd had the waterfront facing room to enjoy the night view and lights. If you are on the hills side, you will enjoy live soft piano music during the day coming from a bank on the street below! The breakfast was delicious, especially their famous French toast - a must if you are lucky to go early, as they do run out. The staff were helpful and polite and efficiently organized the shipping of our luggage to our next hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this hotel very much.

It was a bit pricey, especially the rooms with the waterfront view, so we opted for the other side. The reception is on the 14th floor and the guest rooms are on the floors below, so coming back to the room after a day out felt a bit impersonal. Also, the breakfast was very, very busy even early (before 7 am), we did not get offered coffee refills probably due to the people waiting.

I hope to return sometime soon, as our stay wasn’t long enough. The room is spotlessly clean, spacious, and the extra large bed very comfortable. Excellent shower and deep bath, well supplied with toiletries robe slippers etc. Decor with a nod to the past, with wooden shutters and furniture. Great bar on top floor, excellent and abundant breakfast. Gym was well fitted out and not busy. Location with easy access to public transport, restaurants, etc. All staff are well trained, professional and polite. Value for money? Best in a long time.

A historic, elegant, and comfortable hotel.

There was a large event taking place around the hotel on the day (May 28) I checked out. Most of the roads were blocked so the hotel staff was unable to call for a taxi nor was I able to hail it on street. I need to catch the train at Sannomiya JR Station so decided to walk there. However, I was shortly stuck in crowds with thousands of people standing on the streets waiting for some performances coming up I guess, almost unable to move, particularly with one big luggage. Usually it should be around 12ish mins' on foot from hotel to the station whereas it cost almost 30 mins, last minute to get on the train. For such situation, hotel should have notified guests in advance so we could be aware of the traffic and plan earlier.

Good location; within walking distance to shopping, China Town, JR train station . Convenient parking & complimentary . Breakfast was excellent. Room was spacious & clean . Staff were super friendly & very helpful. Many can converse well in English . Special kudos to K . Yamada. Upon request , he recommended us a good Japanese restaurant , and went the extra mile to call them for a reservation, and realising that they don’t speak Japanese or have an English menu , he proactively printed a English translation of the menu for us to bring along & and it was a great help .

I was pleasantly surprised at how lovely this hotel is. It has a New York jazzy feel to it, and the room was spacious and very comfortable. The location is also perfect, right in the middle of the most luxurious part of Kobe and very close to Daimaru. We travelled with my one year old and the hotel provided diapers, wet wipes and baby toothbrush in the room. Very thoughtful and will definitely choose to stay here again for my next Kobe trip!

The parking situation is a bit confusing, you enter their carpark and you'll be asked to drive into a lift but then you leave your car there. Not something to make me think less of this hotel but just something to let other visitors know before booking a stay there.

The location was great with shops, station, restaurants all within easy walking distance. The views were amazing especially from the lobby and restaurant areas. Lots of space to just sit and take in the view. Rooms comfortable, clean and well cared for. Lots of toiletries in the bathroom. Great breakfast buffet with something for everyone no matter what you like for breakfast. Good Japanese options too. We stayed 4 nights.

1 DARK, DARK, DRAK!! TOO DARK inside the room, dark at corridors too! Have asked for two additional desk lamps to the room but still far too dark. Feeling not confirmable to be inside such a dark room. Daytime still acceptable when outside sun is shining through .... stayed two nights here don't feeling comfortable due to too dark. 2. Not enough for electronic area for nowadays

Amazing hotel, very spacious room and very design, with fantastic view on the harbor. The room is close walk distance to the harbor and any restaurants if you don’t fancy have a dinner at the hotel restaurant itself on the top. The service of the hotel is fantastic, helping you to get your luggages down to the ground floor. The amenities are great as well: they will provide with coffee pods from Nespresso and water bottles. Extra beauty products are available in the room.

Facilities are well maintained and it was very clean. Room is spacious. Staff is attentive and willing to help for any questions. Location is good and easy to reach, very modern, but very quiet in the evening.

Gym facilities were too small, is like they just adapted one room to become the gym. Also, the hotel bar closes too early. There is not much action in the area after 23:00, you would have to walk closer to Kobe station for that.

I heard of the breakfast with the choice of French toast is really good, but staying 3 nights I still did not get chance to try, it was sold out too earlier which is not fair to customer who come to different time slot. Wish hotel can even out the supply of French toast in different time slot!
