The location is very good. 15 min by foot from kyoto station. Close to several bus stations. 20 min by bus to gion. The staff was very nice and helpful. Family mart a couple of min away. The elevator was fast, big ( 2 ppl + 3 suitcases). They have free water refill at 1st floor. It just saved us. You can take an ambrella from the hotel in rainy days. U can charge your cellphone next to you at both sides of the bed

We were staying in a room for 4 people. The room is exactly the same as per photo provided on Booking page. The room was clean and spacious enough for 4 people with 4 large luggage. The bathroom also big with good ventilation system. Toilet amenities are provided. Staff very friendly and helpful. There's iron and iron board which you can request to borrow from the receptionist counter. Near to train station (Gojo Station - Exit 5). However if you are coming with large luggage, I would suggest to take Exit 6 at Gojo Station (additional few meters away from Exit 5), because there is an elevator from the platform to the ground level. Exit 5 only got stairs to access to the ground level which can be a hassle to bring up the luggage when you arrive. The nespresso coffee machine provided is a bonus point! I wish to stay here again if I'm coming to Kyoto in the future.

Very helpful and kind staff! No issue was too big or small, they were always happy to help. The room was the perfect size for us (we put our two open suitcases under the bed) and it was everything we needed - minimal but not too minimal, with nice fittings. The shower was also amazing! At night the room was also so dark and quiet, with super comfy beds - I had a wonderful sleep every night. The location had lots of lovely cafes and cool boutique art/ craft stores around.

I felt there were minimal food choices in this specific area - although that is not the hotels fault - more just of note. We also found the room a tiny bit dusty when we first arrived.

The service was superb. Our receptionist even chatted with us about Mongolia when we mentioned that we traveled from there. He gave us exceptional advice and genuine service. The amenities were also so comfortable! We enjoyed from the first floor easy access to the ice machine, microwave, and complimentary coffee maker. If only we had a chance to glance at the manga library! Oh, and the aroma was delightful.

The lack of a laundry machine was a slight disappointment but momentary. The room felt a bit tight not having shelves, but overall snug.

It was in a reasonable walking distance to the station. The road was a narrow local road with other small hotels. It had some small local businesses close by. It was a clean, quiet, reasonably priced, modern and comfortable room. If I was in Kyoto again it would be my first choice. We got a room with 4 single beds which is great for a family. The staff was very good and helpful. They stored our bags before check in and after we checked out. Probably our favorite hotel out of 8 during our long Japan trip. There is not a washer on the premises but there is a local commercial one about a 5 minute walk away. The instructions are a bit confusing as they are in Japanese and don't translate well. I would recommend that you search for a video or ask the desk and they could help. They have manuals in English in the rooms and a binder with local restaurants with English menus.

It would have been nice to have a washer and dryer onsite but not really a big problem as one was close by.

The couple working at the front desk were so lovely, they made sure we felt very welcome. The room was perfect for 2 people, we mostly used the room for sleeping and getting freshened up, but not spending alot of time in the room for leisure since it is small. Loved the bathroom and shower amenities, no need to bring the usual body/hair wash products. Room was cozy and warm for the Kyoto winter. Reception had a beautiful vibe with a coffee machine and all the essentials. Location was great, on a quiet street but close to Family Mart, restaurants, about a 10 min walk to Kyoto station. Had a great time here and had no complaints! Great value for money

The location has a quaint residential area feel, off the busy road but only 2 short blocks away from Higashi Hongan Temple, a few blocks from the restaurants and shops on Shichijo/near Kyoto Station. Our family stayed in the 4-twin-bed room. The room is spacious and clean. Eda San and Kishimoto San (I hope I got the names right) provide the best service. Kishimoto San in particular gave us helpful information about transportation and timing of events in town, which led us to an unforgettable experience of Gion Festival. I miss staying there already!

The location is super convenient. You can either take the Karasuma Line (subway) to Gojo Station or the City Bus, then walk 5 minutes to the hotel. If you'd like to walk from Kyoto Station then it's around 15 minutes walking down Higashimotoin Street. The staffs were friendly and helpful. We brought our luggage to the hotel before check-in and left to wander around Kyoto. By the time we came back all our luggage had already been brought to our room, which was incredibly spacious and clean. We forgot to bring our adapter because the plugs in Japan were different from the ones at home, but luckily the staffs lent us the adapter along with other amenities like an iron for a really comfortable stay.

There was nothing to complain about the service of Hotel Bell Kyoto.

Lovely staff and good location to access all the main sites. It was nice staying in a quieter area away from the madness while still being accessible to the train station (10 mins walk) or bus stop round the corner. The room was comfortable and the little extras like amenities, free tea and coffee, water and ice were a good addition. The restaurants nearby are all very pricey so just keep this in mind when booking. The food courts near to the station however have lots of good cheap options.

The rooms join the bathroom so there's frosted windows. Missed the natural light so it made the room a bit dingy but we didn't spend much time there. The pillows could do with updating for comfort. Half fluffy, half rice.

I chose this hotel for its attractive design and wasn't disappointed. It has a sleek industrial style and feels rather new. We've met three receptionists, two of them spoke perfect English and were extremely helpful, the third didn't speak English at all.

There was not a single shelf in the room and nor any other place to put the suitcases other than under the bed, which wasn't very convenient. There was an earthquake one night and we realized there was nowhere to hide in the room, nor anywhere in the hotel.
