Reception was quite good, staff speaks English very well, so nice and easy. Location was good in the centre, can go everyone in the city centre by walking Pretty close to Kyoto train station as well. Also we didn't want to change hotel for Osaka, so we did 2 daily visits and it was easy to travel. They provide nightwear, shower 'sponge' provided.

Only negative points - Booking told me that all the tax included which I thought of city tax as well. However it wasn't, so they charged me extra. There was no breakfast to purchase. They don't clean the rooms, only changes bed sheets if you ask them. Pillows are too slim but bed is comfy.

Perfectly located near a train/ metro - station, connected diretly to all relevant sights. Direct train connection to Osaka, thus it's not only great if you want to visit Kyoto but also great for all wanting to go to/ coming from Osaka as well! Rooms have sound proof windows, so even tough our room was facing the very busy street, we did not hear too much traffic noise. The rooms are larger than the japanese average (we had a twin room) and are as clean as usual in japan (VERY clean). Staff is friendly and speaks english properly. Check in is possible via personal contact or via two automated check in kiosks. Coffee machine and microwave in the lobby and in a spacious lounge. 7/11 in the ground floor and multiple restaurants to dine in or take away within 5 minutes walking distance.

The coffee is not really worth the effort of going to the lobby, and the microwave and washing machine/ tumble dryer could use a translation sheet, as is common in international hotels in japan.

Staff were very helpful and filled out our luggage forms for us to send our cases to the next hotel. There is a 7eleven underneath the hotel which is handy for snacks and drinks. There is a bus stop across the road, which is the main way of getting around Kyoto to see all the sights. It is also a 5 minute walk to the tram which takes you to Arashiyama, which is where the bamboo grove is located. We would highly recommend Sawano for breakfast or lunch which is a 20 minute walk away. This hotel is super cheap for what you get!

It's a half an hour walk or a 10 minute bus from the main Kyoto station. Everything in Kyoto is quite spread out, so just a note more than an actual negative!

Our stay at was nothing short of exceptional, exceeding our expectations. Despite a minor tax payment upon arrival, the experience that followed was outstanding. The hotel's cleanliness, quiet ambiance, and friendly staff left a lasting impression. One standout feature that added to our delight was the inclusion of an espresso machine for guest use in the lobby. This unexpected bonus elevated our stay, allowing us to enjoy a comforting cup of coffee at our convenience. Highly recommended for its overall excellence in hospitality and amenities.

Location was superb, very conveniently located around some attraction like Nijo Castle, Imperial Palace and another palace. Right in front of the hotel was a bus stop that one could catch to go to other places of interest. The room was big and had plenty of sockets that worked really well with me. Overall, it was an excellent hotel.

The staff, except for one male (whose name I cannot recall, but he was assigned in the morning) was not helpful. I requested in advance if they could help me call a taxi for my departure early morning of the next day but I was asked to just go to a taxi stand where I would have to walk for 2-3 minutes. No problem really, except that I had 2 pieces of big and heavy luggage. I wonder why they could not help me call a taxi when it could stop right in front of their hotel.

The location is ideal to go around the city. A bus stop is right in front of the hotel and the train station. A convenience store is right below the hotel.

The hotel was nice but i cant help but compare the service to the 3 other hotels in japan that we have stayed before this one. The other hotels helped us send our luggage to another hotel like helping us fill up the waybill form or store our luggage before the transport service will pick it up. As a traveller or a tourist, there are times that you will come back the hotel late or have a quick midnight snack so you need a sitting area, microwave etc to chill and eat. however, the guest lounge closes at 10pm.

the location was very good where it’s closed to tourist attractions, buses, trains and shopping malls. The hotel itself was clean. Kyoto accomodation taxes was separated from room fees paid in advance through Booking.com that was a bit surprised.

It was in a great location, the hotel itself was really clean and very nice. Right next to the bus stops and in the heart of the city, easy to get around to main tourist attractions. We stayed for 3 nights as students from Australia and it was an extremely good price for us! Would 100% recommend to people our age as it was cheap and also a really nice place to stay. Loved all of the amenities. Bathrooms were great and spacious, good room sizes as well.

There isn’t much to dislike about this place, however I’d probably say that floor 2 could go with a bit more, maybe some vending machines or food in the communal space. Other than that there isn’t an issue with this hotel at all.

The hotel was a well rounded hotel, its location was great since it was right in the center of kyoto which was good to go to different places, moreover, it had a 7/11 right downstairs, so if anything fails, there's always a convenience store downstairs.

The Hotel itself doesn't have much problem, the one thing that was more frustrating is the location itself can be only accessed by taxi and bus If you arrive in Kyoto Station. If you have the luxury to take the taxi then this does not apply, but if you go by bus its very hard to bring the suitcases to the bus, because it's normally jammed packed
