Location is close to the Kyoto main station, but not so obvious, you need to take their Hotel bus to reach hotel during your arrival then you know how to walk to the hotel from the station.

I liked the experience of the hotel from reception until departure. It was such a pleasure from the reception, where they welcomed us and finished our processes, and then to the room which was Japanese styled room, to the food facility, which was superb. I liked how the staff treated us with great attitude, which is something one can be familiar with from Japan culture, however this hotel exceeded that treatment and attitude. You will be very happy here. You need to get to the top restaurant and have a taste from the Michelin Chef menu, where you won't bother by where you sit, because the restaurant will rotate beneath your feet.

The location is not exactly the best in Kyoto where you are literally far from all attractions. You will need a taxi to move around, and luckily, the taxis are cheaper than Tokyo.

The property was perfect for our 4 nights So close to Kyoto Shinkansen JR and local trains. The staff was very friendly very helpful Every time we walk out of the hotel to get a cab, the staff there hail one down for us. If we need to book one they were so proficient and organised one for us. They also have English friendly concierge to help.

Our only negative was that their gym and swimming pool not open until 1.30pm. This wasn’t convenient when we stayed for 4 nights. We wanted to use the gym and have a swim early in the morning before we go sightseeing and it was not possible.

(Almost) Everything was perfect. Room has a big space, tolet is great, bath room is exeptional, staffs were friendly and polite. They even has a Nespresso Coffee maker in room! My room was beyond my expectation it's definately an art in a form of hotel room. Breakfast is decent they are really clever with the use of ingredients, there aren't a wide spread of buffet line but, there is enough option and almost everything was delicious. Whenever I comeback to Kyoto in the future, it's no-brainer to stay here again.

I wish there're more light in room. Especially in the toilet, I something find it a little too dark. Also, the shutter bus stop at 7PM, but as a tourist I definately comeback to hotel after that. So, it would be nice if there're bus until 8PM or even 9PM.

Room was comfortable and clean, also the rest of the hotel seemed pretty tidy. Staff was nice and very friendly, even though some had problems with the English language.

That the pool and gym was not included in the booking and this wasn’t communicated so I was pretty surprised that I had to pay extra. The gym was poorly equipped and the price was way too high. The buffet was delicious but it’s always the same so after 3 days it’s getting lame. Also the price fore the dinner was too much for the same food everyday.

The size of the room was definitely bigger than most Japanese hotels like 3x bigger than others. The staff were very nice and spoke very good English. They kept my luggage when I was too early for check in, and also, after I checked out so I can see more sites before leaving for the day. Room amenities were thoughtful. The location is good if you only have a small luggage to push to/from the station.

The shower temperature kept changing to really cold and then really hot. It doesn’t stay steady. Location is bad if you have a big luggage to push. It was so hard to push my big luggage from Kyoto Station to the hotel especially it was raining when I arrived and didn’t know which one way to go. But the next days it wasn’t raining, it was not as difficult but still hard to push my luggage in the streets of Kyoto. Their carpet made it also hard for my luggage to roll. I could also hear the trains passing outside, but it wasn’t a deal breaker since their double window set up seems to lessen the volume.

location, service and facilities were great!

Breakfast was waste of money for us. Being vegetarian not many option (hardly one option on alternate day, staff simply said no English so would not confirm the ingredients and no identifiable labels either). Considering luxury hotel, we were expected variety and multiple buffet options catering majority commonly known dietary requirement. Also, wait is too long for even breads. Staff needed to be reminded to fill up. we understand it was so busy but management would have considered the flow based on occupancy.

Breakfast was great room was spacious and comfortable. It is about three blocks from the station on the edge of the main Kyoto business area. Finding a restaurant is easy there are plenty close by and 7Elevens and Lawsons so you will never go hungry late at night. Kyoto Tower is close and many shopping malls. My daughter hired a Kimono for the day and had a great time. Going to temples is best done by train or bus traffic is slow if you take a taxi it can add up. There is a large temple just down the road worth a visit. Be warned the beginning of the new year is school holidays and you can expect large crowds. The view I had from the room was three railway lines one right next door. You can hear them if you listen for them but to be honest the room was very quite. I did get some great photos of trains though! WIFI good.

Visiting during school holidays in Japan huge crowds at all the major temples.

Location of this hotel is perfect - very close to the major train station with Shinkansen lines. We had 2 rooms, one was facing the train tracks. We asked for another room, because we feared the noise during the night. The room was changed without any problems within few our from our request. One big advantage is the pool - in hot summer days it was a great refreshment. And also we appreciated the hotel shuttle bus - not because the train station was far away, but due to very hot weather in July. Otherways is the train station max. 10 minutes by foot.

The cleanines of rooms could be better. They cleaned daily, but not very well.

The hotel is located just a short walk from Kyoto main train station, or there is a regular shuttle bus from the hotel. The room was comfortable and quiet, and much larger than Tokyo hotel rooms. The included breakfast was delicious, and the reception staff were lovely! Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

The fitness centre had very limited opening hours (1pm -8pm, with last entry at 6:30pm) despite being an additional cost! While the pool was lovely, I don’t think the limited opening hours makes it worth the additional surcharge.
