Hotel was in a very convenient location being less than 10 minutes walk away from Kyoto Station. Room was very spacious and clean. Amenities are easy to access just down at the lobby. Laundry room was very clean and detergent was provided free of charge.

The walls are extremely thin and you can hear your neighbours talking which is very disturbing at night if you are a light sleeper and noise sensitive like me. You can also hear people in the corridor as well. If possible, install more washing machines it was a long waiting game when both were in use constantly.

Hotel staff were very helpful with sending and receiving luggage. Location was decently close to Kyoto station, plenty of convenience stores and dining options around. Room was spacious and clean. Check in and check out process were smooth. I would definitely book this hotel again.

Fridge was noisy at night. Light isolation wasn't the best. Hot water took some time to come when using the sink. Bath water temperature was a bit colder than the shower water temperature even when putting both on 40 Celsius

We upgraded our room so had a Tatami, which gave us room for our suitcases and to spread out, the room was lovely, very spacious and comfortable, staff very helpful, and they had free items to help yourself to at reception, like creams, heat packs to stick on your knees and feet for aches and pains, hair ties, eye masks and ear plugs for sleeping (we did not need these) and many other things as well as bath salts (we had a bath in our bathroom and separate shower, and separate toilet and vanity area), these were perfect to have a relaxing bath. Fantastic location not far from the station, and good restaurants. Washer dryer room, microwave room with water and ice.

This hotel was so well located, within a 5 minutes walk to Kyoto station and made it easy to get to most attractions. The room was very spacious, loved having a double sink, big shower and bathtub and the window overlooking the garden which was a nice space to relax after a long day of walking. This hotel was the most spacious out of all our Japan hotels. We also loved that there was a tatami mat section that was perfect for a futon for our son and also a dining area. Great amenities to choose from in the lobby. The staff were also so lovely and helpful and spoke English.

No breakfast on offer - but very close to convenient stores so it wasn't a big issue

We stayed in the hotel for 6 nights and it has been very pleasent. It was near Kyoto Station, which was very easy to get around with our luggages. The room has been bigger then the ones we had in Tokyo and the bed as well as the pillows were the most comfortable among all hotels we tried in Japan. The staff was really helpful and kind. We washed 2 times, where the reception was so kind to empty the washing machines, while we were discovering the city.

The sound insulation to the room next door was a bit poor. We could hear folks watching anime and having sex.

Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Location was great and a short walk from Kyoto station. I liked that there were additional supplies provided at the reception for the duration of the stay. The foot patches were very useful for recovery after a long day of walking. We used the luggage transfer service and really appreciated them for placing our big bags in the room directly which avoided us having to take it upstairs while managing our toddler.

The railing on the balcony was broken and it had a dump of things, so was unusable. I had to pay extra for housekeeping for 3 days which I was hoping to be included in the price. Instructions on using the AC remote were unclear.

I like this hotel for it's good location, friendly & helpful staff, clean facilities and reasonable room rate.

I was unable to reduce my 6-night stay to 5-night stay. I was not aware that this would tantamount to cancelling the old cheaper deal and making a fresh & more costly booking. As the room rate has gone up, I was stuck with a 6-night deal even though I would be in Kyoto for only 5 nights. This practice is not good and may result in multiple bookings of rooms with free cancellations in order to work around the problem.

Queen room was perfectly sized and well laid out for me as a solo traveler - plenty of room to leave a suitcase and a backpack open, nice sized fridge, good desk, great bed with places to put a phone and water at hand, and a small but very functional bathroom. The room was very quiet, and it seemed like there were only 4 rooms to each floor, so not a ton of traffic coming and going. The laundry room was conveniently on my floor, and there was a water dispensing machine a few floors up. Everything was extremely clean and modern, and the staff I interacted with were all very kind. Fantastic location, extremely easy to walk to Kyoto Station and convenient to lots of restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

Everything was great!

Everything was amazing. The big room size and free amenities of the hotel were excellent. Surprised me as I was expecting Japanese hotels usually come around smaller. The room looks like a Japanese traditional zen type style. I have OCD and the hotel met my cleaning standards. We were also very close to Kyoto station. I would definitely book again with this hotel.

I think the staff would benefit from further training or a different recruitment process. We did expect that there would be a language barrier. However, they didn't seem to know much about the area when I asked some local questions that I assumed would be common knowledge even when using a translating app. Even asking for coffee bags (free from reception) turned into an awkward ordeal for all involved. But they were all very lovely to deal with attitude wise. Also when you go to Kyoto, you will need to pay for Kyoto city tourism tax on top of the quoted price on booking.com. It's like 200yen a night per guest.

Amazing location - less than 10 minutes from Kyoto station's main (central) exit. The staff were friendly and helpful - Japanese, Chinese and English are all okay. The room is small but well-equipped and clean. The toiletry bar in the lobby is very helpful! There were the usual products like shampoo and various products for hair treatment, and also the very cute Japanese style hair accessory and 休足時間 to help relieve muscle pain from walking!
