I normally do not bother writing reviews but I was really surprised that this hotel was only rated 3 stars and I would like to say they definitely deserve more than 3 stars. The service and expectations was way over my expectations. Location are perfect and staffs definitely try their very best to help English speakers. They also offered a lot of free basic amenities that we did not expect. They provide recycle bag DAILY into the room and it is exceptionally useful throughout my whole trip even until my last transit back home. The free coffee provided was way better than those I bought from outside. Parking was really convenient as well, even if you do not get a spot, you get plenty of parking nearby, and the hotel will reimburse any extra that you have paid!!! We bought food from the supermarket and needed plates so that we can microwave, the hotel manage to provide everything we needed including cutleries.

Cleaners standard seems to be slightly different everyday, one forgot to empty our toilet bin on a night where we think we needed most BUT I would not fault anything at all.

Location is excellent, close to Susukino Station. Airport transport is nearby. Bed is super comfy and loves the onsen after a long day. The best thing we like is they have connecting rooms, which is perfect for us (we have been travelling in a group of 5/6 people to Japan many times)

Breakfast is a "no no" comparing to all other Karaksa Hotel which I stayed previously. Pretty much the same brekkie every day, only 2/10 items are changes. If just a short stay is fine. We stayed there for about 8days, 4 days are booked thru elsewhere. We were so sick of the same food all the time, was hoping they can change it regularly. Onsen is good, but I think they should restrict young boys into female onsen. One of the family took a few kids there (mainly are boys) into Female Onsen. You can see them keep looking at every one there. I think this is not a good idea. Another suggestion is (not mandatory but nice to have) if they can help us moved our luggage into our rooms in advance (We left luggage there for storage, visiting other places).

This hotel is next to the Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade. You can even walk from the JR Sapporo Station to the Hotel in the underground. This is very important in the cold weather. The room is very comfortable although it is a bit small for three of us. The public bath is very good especially after staying outside in the cold for the whole day. The breakfast is excellent with both Japanese and Western styles. You can even prepare a bowel of rice with sushi everyday. The staff are always helpful.

Location is very convenient, near the dinning and shopping area. Transportation, e.g. bus, subway, is nearby too.

The hotel is conveniently located right next to the famous Tanuki Koji. Hence, it is easily accessible to many eateries and the shopping districts. Very close to the train stations and bus stations as well! Hotel staffs at the front desk are helpful, friendly and courteous. Mineral water was also generously given on a daily basis. Even if we put a “Do not disturb sign” the hotel staffs will still leave the water bottles on our door knob. I also like their modern bathroom interior with clean and new water tabs and basin, it is also plus point that they made the toilet and bathroom separated. Will definitely recommend to friends and stay in this hotel again in the future!

Laundry dryer is not working well and effective! The extra bed is not as comfortable as the regular bed.

Great public bath onsen

Limited coin laundry machines ie. only 2 washing machines and 2 dryer are definitely not enough. I have to wait many hours even till midnight to wait for my turn to wash my laundry. As it was in locked mechanism, either have to wait for one to come back and collect his/her laundry or called counter to unlock after 10 mins no collection. It is just too inefficient. To also help your staffs to running up and down, suggest hotel to provide clean baskets to let next guest self help to take out the clothes if no one collect and place aside. Just have to state clear that guest needs to come back timely else will need to find clothes at the side.

location was right in the heart of sapporo's buzzing night life. staff was always friendly no matter what time of the day. they were even festive, hanging some halloween decor in the afternoon. room was spacious enough for our 3 people bedroom. it was my first onsen experience ever in japan, and karaksa made it really memorable for me, the little green karaksa bag to carry stuff and personal belongings is such a simple but a very important detail, and so useful that i even used it when i stayed at other the other onsen hotel. throughout my whole stay, i couldnt find anything unpleasant, thank you karaksa staff for making my stay wonderful, already excited to come back to sapporo to stay here again.

i dont know if the water from the little faucet in the lounge was for drinking lol

Location cannot be any better than this! Direct access to the main shopping street! 30 seconds walk to airport bus stop meant that it was manageable to carry lots of luggage back and forth from hotel (yes we had a lot of luggage) Onsen was lovely during the afternoon but night time (11pm) it was extremely crowded. Hotel restaurant serves good sashimi don for lunch. Great value and would recommend.

No windows but does not bother us. Triple room a bit on the small size but expected of sapporo city centre!

The hotel was clean, in a wonderful location, and had wonderful amenities! Breakfast was delicious and the public onsen was one of the best we have experienced in our 3 years in Japan. We were also so pleased with the size of the room (big enough to fit a portacrib for our baby with room to spare for our snow gear and suitcase), the comfort of the bed, and the proximity to the snow festival and train station. Self check in and check out was very easy and many of the staff spoke great English which was a huge help. We would absolutely stay here again!

We have nothing negative to say about our experience.

The location was great - very near Tanukikoji shopping street and also to Susukino but in a street that itself is not very busy. Super easy to access buses/trains to get around the city and to the station. Room was a very good size for a Japanese hotel. Comfortable bed and good water pressure in the shower

Price - I think I was in Sapporo at the same time as many different events - school sports tournament and beer tournament, so the price was very very high. So what I paid for my stay probably wasn’t worth the room, but at a more normalised price, it would be very good.
