I had a very positive time at Kaguya Asakusa! My friends and I felt very safe and happy with our stay. The location is very good as the temple is nearby and there are lots of shops and restaurants in the area. The hostel is also conveniently located near a subway line and that made sightseeing during the day very easy to do. The room was very clean and the bed very comfy. The hostel also provided us with towels and other amenities. Overall I am very happy with my stay and would stay here again!

The owners keep the bathroom very clean and include signs for directions. However, I had the experience of using the shower after another guest who was not as tidy. It was not a huge issue, and definitely not the owners fault, but something to know.

It was our first night in Tokyo, our roaming phone package wasn’t working, we were lost. A lovely person at the guest house answered our call for assistance and let us in

Location was excellent. Without any staff it was very independent. Once you receive the codes for both doors it was easy to enter and exit.

The space between bunk beds were too small and tight. My kids keep punching their heads and hips etc.

Perfect location. Very quiet place. Comfortable beds.

Charging plugs was only one side of the room. A shower needs some hooks.

Amenities were provided - e.g. shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer; fridge and microwave (only on the third level- inquire with staff for this information). Wifi provied - inquire with staff for this information. Location is great beecause it is situated near tourist spots, restaurants and the train station.

Rooms are small and congested. Pictures provided does not show you how small and dark the rooms actually are. There was not enough room to even let natural light in via the window, the side table is so small and there is only just enough space for a "hallway" within the room. Guests aren't warned to stop making loud noises at night/ early morning - e.g. shower, use the hair dryer along the halllway sink. It was incredibly hard for us to sleep because our room is right next to the shower room and the hallway sink. Poor accessibility in the property. There is no elevator/ ledge provided in the property for easy luggage transport to upper levels. Keep this in mind when planning your stays. Early check-in and late check-out are not allowed, and the host can be quite passive-aggressive when inquiring about the property. No laundry amenities in the property.

The location was perfect and the room/ bathroom was really clean. The area was also really quiet at night even though it was next to a bunch of restaurants and stores.

The bed set up was super stupid and messed up. The inside walk in and hallways are super messy. Lastly it was stressful because someone told us that things were going missing and it might have been because of the cleaning lady but I am not sure on what was really going on.
