EVERYTHING! The hotel describes itself as a simple hotel. There is nothing simple about the beautiful craftmanship of the Japanese room, the attention to details, the humble extra polite staffs, beautiful breakfast arrangement, the little zen garden outside the room .... LOVE EVERYTHING!!! The room is so spacious, bathroom is very well-equipped, the tatami room, the comfy slipper, the 5-star amenities in the room that would make the neighbouring chain hotel ashamed. I mean, for the price point, this is FANTASTIC. The hotel is located right next to the gate of that famous temple in Asakusa, right above a small cute Starbucks. Very very busy area with tons of food and konbini around. But inside the hotel itself is very very quiet. 5 min walk to Asakusa subway station (right in the middle of Haneda and Narita, with direct lines to both, and a direct line to Ginza. Easy to transfer to other areas as well, but I concentrated my stay at eastern Tokyo this time to recuperate from the craziness of western Tokyo). I sent my luggage a day earlier, and when I check in my luggage is waiting for me in my room. Nice! The old sweet couple that runs the ryokan is very polite and helpful, and spoke good English.

NOTHING to dislike about the hotel. If anything, it's the fact that the entry/exit for Asakusa line that has elevator is another 10 min walk from the nearest entry/exit. Not the hotel's fault. Asakusa station is an old station so be prepared to carry your luggage up and down the stairs if you took Asakusa line. There is a nearby exit/entry with elevator for Ginza line, but Ginza line doesn't have a direct train to airport, so you need to transfer to another line, which usually means you will carry your luggage up and down the stairs eventually. Unless you use the luggage transfer company.

The location is right at the gate to the Sensoji Temple and the Asakusa subway/train line is right around the corner and is a direct shot to Haneda Airport Terminal - could not be more convenient! The staff are so friendly and helpful. They let us store our bags for the afternoon before our flight after we had checked out, and let us borrow tools (to attempt) to fix our buggered luggage handle, then agreed to dispose of it when we couldn't fix it. The facilities are super clean and modern, and we felt this was the perfect place to end our trip to Japan. Although it was super busy outside, there was no noise from the crowds up in the room. We stayed in one of the traditional Ryokan rooms with mattresses on the floor which were comfortable enough, but next time would probably opt for the western-style beds. Overall, a great stay in an exciting area of Tokyo - bring an extra bag for the shopping!

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The location of this hotel is very close to Asakusa train station, very easy to get around Tokyo by train. Room was spacious and very clean bathroom. Well equipped as well. I also love the scents of the lobby.

Nothing about the hotel itself. But just a suggestion if you are travelling with lots of luggage, it’s a bit hard to get to this hotel from the train station (many people and stairs, and lifts are sometimes not that easy to find). As this is a major tourist attraction, it’s very very packed outside the hotel. It’s better if you arrive by taxi (if you carry lots of luggage)

Wonderful japanese-style rooms, just in front of the Kamanirarimon, the entrance gate of the Sensou-Ji temple. It's impossible to have a better-placed hotel in the heart of Asakusa. The ryokan also close to the Asakusa station, and thus it is very easy to use the public transport to go anywhere in Tokyo, or Narita Airport with public transport. Highly recommended.

The airconditionning in the room was a bit too weak for the 30°C+ heat, and the bathroom was not the same as on the photos, but it was still very nice, so it's not really an issue.

The staff were very polite and accommodating. I asked the reception staff where I could store my luggage as I had checked out but still wanted to shop nearby and they offered to store my luggage at the hotel. Another staff member went out of her way to search travel routes to assist me with the next leg of my journey. I stayed in a tatami room and loved it. It was a bit small but very cute and more than big enough for one person. The room was comfortable and clean. Great location next to Kaminarimon gates, Nakamise shopping street and Sensoji temple.

Nothing!

This hotel is just fabulous! The staff is just so gentle and kind! It was our honeymoon and it was the only hotel that offered something special to surprise us. The front door manager even tried to speak portuguese! The room is very big and comfortable. The bathroom had a bathtub and we could relax after a long day of walking. Also, it is right on the entrance of senso ji temple, so it was a great opportunity to visit this must see point of tokyo without too many people. We were thinking about trying the breakfast, but it was sold out as it seams to be a very exclusive experience. They dont offer continental breakfast. Just the Japanese one. There is a starbucks right above the hotel, so it can be an alternative for the ones thinking about getting ocidental breakfast. Also, they let us storage our luggage there for a few days and it was extremely important to us! Many thanks to all the staff!

Loved absolutely every thing!

The ryokan is located in the heart of the tourist area, but once you step inside, you will find a quiet and relaxing space. Nearby, you can find restaurants, souvenir shops, city attractions, Subway station, and much more. The hotel room is simply fantastic: clean, meticulously furnished, and comfortable. The breakfast is exquisite: always varied, with fresh, carefully selected products. The staff is extremely kind and ready to assist you in every situation. We highly recommend this ryokan!

We loved everything!

Absolutely amazing ryokan in the heard of Asakusa. I stayed in the corner room with views of Tokyo Skytree, Sensoji Temple, Nakamise Street, and Kaminarimon Gate. The room is massive for one person but totally worth it. The breakfast is so worth the 3000 Yen, a must try. The price for my room meets the location (for sure) and the incredle views.

Nothing really.

The property is located next to the street to the sin ji temple, you can get there by public transport from Tokyo station very easily. Be aware to take the right exit which has an elevator if you are traveling with suite-cases. the express train from Narita airport also stops here. The hotel itself is beautiful decorated with artwork.

We booked the traditional room which was smaller than we expected based on other rooms we stayed in during our trip, of course Tokyo is expensive and you pay for location, for this money we expected a little more room, service or at least a breakfast included.

Incredibly spacious, clean, and relaxing accommodations in the heart of Asakusa! We had an amazing stay and loved the view from the terrace. The staff were kind and accommodating (even when my son failed to follow one of the rules). It was surprisingly calm and quiet, despite being directly next to a bustling commercial area. The proximity to souvenirs and all sorts of food is perfect. I would definitely stay again!
