Fantastic location. As my first time and first stay in Tokyo, I was very happy I had chosen Onyado Nono in Asakusa. The location was an easy walk from the station, passing the Sensoji-temple. My plane arrived in the evening, but despite it being dark out the area felt comfortable and safe (well-lit) to walk along as a solo female and I enjoyed the local area a lot. The Hotel felt very peaceful upon arriving and just as the review that led me to stay in the first place, I would like to reiterate that it has a very homely feeling when you walk into the door, take off and store your shoes (in small lockers) and walk to reception. The japanese style accommodation was simple, clean and very cosy and the staff was extremely helpful. Based on the location and atmosphere within the hotel, I will be staying again and hopefully get to try out the spa next time too.

Beautiful hotel located a minute away from the temple grounds. Has a relaxing ryokan feel in the middle of busy Tokyo. Room was small by North American standards, but clean and well maintained. Bed and pillow are firm, but I personally prefer it that way, so I was even more comfortable than at my own home. Toiletries such as toothpaste, razor and toothbrush were included. Pyjamas were also available. There was free delicious soba noodles every night, along with tea, coffee, and ice cream. Yakult was free in the morning. The mineral bath was nice and hot, and made your skin super soft. It was open long hours, from 5 am to 1 am. Washers are free to use, and dryers cost 100 yen for 20 minutes. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and well worth the money. It's too bad I had to move to the next hotel.

Everything, from the onsen to great attention to details and amenities. The breakfast is fantastic if you want to try a Japanese one and late at night they offer you some ramen. So far the best stay in Japan

I liked everything

The location was exceptional, the staff were very good and it was very clean and bright.

Low bed. I would like a western height bed as my knees and back are not good.

Location is good in a way that many food stores, restaurants, and shops around, and so closed to Senso-ji. The hot spring is the biggest selling point, really help us with some relax during the traveling and many walking.

I can smell a bit of the pillow, I am sure the cover is washed but the smell maybe come from the inside. Room is quite tiny, even this is typical in japan, still smaller than the other 5 hotels that I have been staying during this trip. I do not particularly like the washing sink is on the hall way but not in the toilet..... Maybe due to the price, I think they are fully booked most of the time, which make the hot spring pool and the attached showers very crowed......

A gem of a place. We absolutely love staying here. Taking shoes on and off was a hassle at first but we got used to it after a while and appreciate how clean the floors were. We, and a lot of guests, wore the provided pajamas and socks and walked around the hotel, to breakfast etc. Felt so cozy and almost like being at home. The breakfast was fantastic, the best we had for three whole 3 weeks we were in Japan. The free evening Ramen was delicious and we looked forward to it daily. The room was small but not too small, love the tatami flooring and bed was comfortable. We tried the onsen, it was wonderful, they provided everything including hair ties. There was also ice cream to cool you down after three hot bath. Location is very good, just about next to Sensoji temple

It is a bit far from the metro and not easy to locate as the name of the hotel is in Japanese only. We used google map and had a picture of the hotel’s front door for reference. Front staff was friendly but not everyone speaks English

The kuroyu bath was fantastic. The bathing area is a little small, but the in-room guide made it possible to avoid the most crowded times for a more relaxing experience. It also monitors laundry availability which is incredibly handy. There are ample laundry facilities, the most I have seen in a Tokyo hotel. Surprisingly close to Kaminarimon. I kept stumbling into the grounds on my morning walks... A lovely and lively surprise. Given the location the rooms are very quiet. The bed is comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

I am a late riser and I think it made the cleaning staff work in a way they are not used to. Because of this, some things were missed in room cleaning most days of my stay. Some did not trouble me, but I hate not having clean cups. Or waste not removed. That was outside my expectations.

The breakfast was great. Room was cozy and clean. They provided fresh towels everyday. I also enjoyed the night soba and having an onsen on site. When you pass by the staff in the hallways, they great you warmly, which was very kind.

I wished they managed the crowd better for breakfast. I showed up at 6:30am only to be told that the breakfast hall was full and had to take a ticket to wait to enter. Half an hour later I came back and they still said I had to wait, but I saw that they let in a couple before I was called, and I distinctly remember these two came after me and got a number after mine. Room was on the small side, with no view to speak of. My window was right beside some sort of AC unit so I kept the window closed at all times.
