The location is superb, very closed to Ueno station, Ameyoko market. Have direct line from Narita airport to Ueno st.(using Keisei line). Has direct yamanote line. Take main exit from Ueno st, cross the road and go along the back alley of the buildings on the street, is the most convenient way (i think) to the hotel The room and bathroom are small (as it was expected in Tokyo), but clean with adequate facilities. They provided pajamas for sleeping. Coffe machine is availaible on second floor (receptionist area). There is also kettle available in the room (which is very important item for me, bcs i need to always drink warm water during winter). They clean the room everyday upon request.

I'm a moslem, so it's a bit hard for me to perform my prayer in the room because it's too small. Hardly any space left to do it. One more, it is nice if the staffs smile more often 😊 They are not rude, just not "cheerful" enough

Hotel Tosei Cocone Ueno it is a walking distance to the train station and access to a lot of places that you can eat, shop, etc. a 5-minute walk to the train station connecting to the whole train system-very Efficient. Even if you have luggage's, it wouldn't be a hardship. 2 train system 1 -Keisei to take you straight from Narita Airport. This is located very close to Ueno Park or maybe underneath the park. and the other is UENO station connecting to all the train lines (Ginza, Yamanote, etc.) This hotel is situated where it needs to be-very convenient. Walk across the street and you will be in Ueno Ameyoko Shopping street and Ueno Park. There's also a better money exchange in Ameyoko if you walk around. We enjoyed walking around and just get lost out there. It is when you don't expect anything that you will find the place interesting. Japanese people are by far very respectful. The staff were professional even though we have language barrier we all manage to understand each other. Some staff can talk basic English language while we use google translate and it was never a problem. All of them were very accommodating. WE also love that they do have washer and dryer. You can also see in the TV if the washer and dryer are in use or not. All staff are outstanding even the housekeeping staff are awesome! Our rooms were always cleaned and they provide fresh towels each time- with jammies in there and slippers. The bed is comfortable, and the AC unit is something you can adjust on your own. The hotel itself smells good. It was somehow home away from home.

The rooms were small, but this is very typical for Japan. Don't expect the hotels to be as big as we have here in the US. They make use of all their space. It was enough for us to put in our luggage.

Everything was thoughtfully & generously provided from clean towels & bedding each day, to water, coffee, tea & snacks - along with nice little extras for the weary traveller such as toothbrush, flannel, cotton buds, razors. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly & welcoming staff. Would highly recommend & would certainly return, should circumstances ever permit😊

The restaurant franchise seemed to cater more for the US clientele. Not a problem particularly, if you like that sort of food…we didn’t, but there was so much variety of food available on the doorstep, it did nothing to detract from the pleasure of our stay

The location was excellent, but the room was still quiet and we had no issues sleeping at night, despite there being a bustling nightlife area a few minute walk away. The front desk staff were helpful and we really liked the free robes, pillows, and coffee that was available for guests.

The room was clean for the most part, although we lost something in the room and while searching under the bed saw that it was kind of dusty and dirty in less noticeable areas. It wasn't something anyone else we were traveling with noticed however.

Small business rooms in a great location. Good place to stay if you are out all day visiting. Price is ok given it’s central location. Free amenities at reception was a nice touch! Scale at reception was wonderful for final day packing.

The hotel is a bit old and used. Shower curtain smelled moldy and sheets were a bit stained. Carpet and walls could use some replacement/painting. But it was otherwise clean. You can hear guests walking around in the room on the floor above (especially if they have heavy steps).

It was a good location, close to the Ueno station. The bed was comfortable. There were plenty of outlets in the room. The room was really clean. I liked that the shower controls were the same as the sink controls, which was something I had never seen before. Oh, I also liked that they gave us extra towels and water bottles each day.

The room was obviously on the small side, but you get what you pay for. The bathroom was also super small but to be expected. Honestly, nothing else was bad.

Amazing location, only a couple of minutes walk to Ueno station and Ueno park. Staff are very welcoming and friendly, able to help with everything you need. The room is small, but comfortable. There are a lot of extra touches that make it a better space such as a fridge, hairdryer, multiple sockets and usb, light switches next to bed, TV, hair conditioner, coat hangers, full length mirror, a kettle and tea. Fresh towels and robes every day, as well as water and green tea. There is a free coffee machine in the lobby, an ice machine and a coin laundry which worked well to wash and dry all our clothes for 500 yen. There is a rooftop terrace with a great view.

The bed is pretty hard and the pillow aren't very comfortable.

Very close to the train stations. Hotel also provides bath salt, small snacks and beverages at the reception area. Also allows you to pick a pillow best suit you. the TV also has information on status of the laundry service which is very helpful.

AC is controlled by the hotel thus it was very cold in the room most of the time since we travelled during winter. we had to bear with the stuffy room cos none of the mode works and had to open the window for some air circulation. Once in a while, the fan mode is able to switch on but other than keeping air circulation in the room, it doesn't help in keeping us warm.

Location is great to near the convenience store, restaurant and drug store. For a foreign tourist, this is very convenient closer to the Ueno station to everywhere in Tokyo. And my favourite point is the way from hotel to the airport, for me, I'm alone to travel and the road is smoothly to the station with heavy baggage when I move to the airport train station! And so many hotel around here, this is lively even through I'm alone back to hotel at night.

The room not very good on sound-proofing when other guest back to their room. But this is not a big problem, just a little bit sound and let me hear they back on the corridor, and fully acceptable for me under the reasonable value and great location.

I booked it as an overnight stay at the end of my holiday, to be closer to the Narita airport and still be in Tokyo. The location is very convenient if you need to go to and from Narita airport. It is practically adjacent to Keisei Ueno railway station. Also within walking distance is the Ueno park and the Ueno JR railway station. Furthermore, they have free coffee, tea, and small snacks in the lobby -- nice!

The room was very small, to the point that moving was a problem. I don't mind a small room (it is Tokyo, after all) but this was excessively small. Also, to find the entrance, I had to ask a local policeman.
