Clean well apportioned rooms. Great central location. Good staff.... Oldish hotel but perfectly functional and very comfy.....

Noisy unattended children running around the halls playing for hours on end. I presume the parents left them unattended and went out. A couple of times the room was cleaned but no coffee replenished.... I love coffee so I missed the little sachets. Other than those little niggles it was a great location. Thank you staff...

I like this place because of great location. All you need is around. And yeah, hotel is located inside Golden Square of Almaty. 1. Location, location and one more time location! 2. I lived in room 201. Quite big place. 3. Staff is very friendly and helping. 4. Light, lamps, furniture - cozy, oldskul 5. Breakfast... Choice & time - ok. 6. Electric kettle was there, 1L bottle of water every day, all you need in bathroom. 7. Supermarket in next building. 2 foodstreets in next block. A lot of places to walk - parks, alleys, caffees

There were no: - frig - bathrobe in the room. But I didn't ask 'em. TV set was a little big old-fashioned but I do not watch TV) I preffer calm. So I like to open window instead of air condition usage. So I've asked room going into patio, not Zheltoskan street. But its for you to decide.

I liked everything actually starting from staff: we booked the hotel the same day as departure, arrived 2 hours earlier than check-in time, but the staff warmly welcomed us and let us get to the room immediately. The room was really comfy with a big bed, enough storage space, and a spacious washroom. The shower was extremely good. Also, we had a balcony with a mountain view. Whenever we needed smth staff was so helpful. What I liked the most was the exceptional cleanliness. Even if we asked just to change the towels, we returned to a super clean and neat room. Location of the hotel is great, many eateries were nearby, a good store with a great variety of products as well. We lived in a 5 minute walk from the square where we celebrated New Year) Breakfast was included, not a super big choice, but it was decent, IMHO Recommend this place for other tourists. Definitely good value for money.

It might probably be the issue for smb that there was no elevator (so if you leave on the 3rd floor like we did, you need to carry the stuff) But even with this staff of the hotel was helping (if you're a lady))

Since 2003 using this hotel. It is getting a bit 'used', but is still acceptable and homely. The lift still doesn't work and probably never will, but that adds to the charm. I was allowed an early check in for a small fee, which was nice and better than from 5.00 AM till 9.00 AM hanging out on the streets till the Agro-Expo would start

It is a bit funny to put teabags but not a water cooker. But when asked one was brought within 5 minutes flat. At breakfast buffet plates are replaced when they have been already empty for some time. I can live without whatever wasn't there when I came past but I can imagine that others want the full breakfast monty?

Ambassador must have a long history, at least rooms and spatio are breathing history. Rooms are large, walls are solid and furniture is massive. This all provides a feeling of home away from home. Bathrooms are spacious and showers are great. Wifi works very well, and the kettle in the room is working fine. Breakfast includes great options, including freshly made eggs or omlet (if you manage to ask for it) - and lots of apples! Location is great, with coffee shops and supermarkets nearby, the cathedral and the central mosque are in walking distance, and the airport bus is just outside the hotel door.

Location - BEST - I would like to stay here again - Staff was very friendly. Big Hotels, Many rooms. Close to bus stop, Metro Station. Close to city center. Silent area.

Elevator was not working till last day of my stay. And I have requested the room on top floor. Breakfast was average. Same food for all days.

Room: Very spacious and clean, it's good. Location: Top-notch. Right in downtown area and it's very close to many restaurants, cafes and walking streets within walking distances. Breakfast: Was ok, simple western and local style and not many options.

This place has no elevator. If you have heavy briefs/suit cases then it's not easy to bring up and down.

The room was small but comfy. The beds were good and they provided extra covers when we asked for. There was a teac coffee arrangement in the room. The staff is friendly. The breakfast was wholesome. Overall good room to stay.

The plug points were very few. Even for the water heater there was no plug point attached I had to heat the water somewhere else in the room. There were no sppons provided and they refused to supply any spoon. I needed to stir my coffee.

Rooms were comfortable and clean, Location was central, can walk to most of the travel spots, lot of eating options and supermarkets nearby, Staff was supportive. Value for money

Hotel has old decor. Lift not working is big problem as all the rooms are located from 1st floor onwards, also no staff available to carry the luggage to room, no one answers room service and reception call.

Good location and friendly staff. They are willing to store luggage. The hotel is clean, and is a solid three star hotel. The cleaning staff does a good job.

The hotel had maintenance issues. The elevator was broken, the coffee machine in the breakfast buffet was broken, seating at breakfast sometimes gets tight, and the airport shuttle is about twice the price of local taxis. The breakfast buffet is ok.
