I really liked the breakfast 👍 And I could get anywhere I wanted in a short time by walking, which was amazing. The staff was reaaally friendly and they were really helpful. Would come again to this hotel next time I come to Dundee (I've added a photo of the view from the breakfast lounge/reception)

I didn't know whether the window was open or closed all the time since I think I felt cold coming into the room and I could hear all the noise from outside, but that is just a minor inconvenience and the tiny red pillow on my bed was kind of dirty?.. everything else was great

Great breakfast, good choices , food hot & replenished quickly . Great shower which was easy to use,Dove toiletries , nice big soft bath towels . Extra supplies of sachets of coffee, tea, milk, sugar available on table at reception. Comfy beds . Walking distance to V&A , Discovery,Unicorn,McManus , Verdant & plenty coffee shops, bars & restaurants nearby. Walking distance to bus station & train station & nice view over the Tay . Staff all friendly & welcoming .

One slight problem , we often found the door in to our corridor was not fully shut ( it is meant to be for security as you were meant to use your keycard to gain access ) . This meant anyone could actually have come up in the lift & gained access to the corridor . We always ensured it was fully shut when entering or leaving but others obviously didn’t . We forgot to mention it at reception as maybe the closer of the door just needed adjusted . But this did not spoil our stay there in any way .

Great view of the traffic going over the Tay bridge. Friendly staff and relaxing seating area. We used the bar each night of our stay for a nightcap before going to our room. I also liked that you could pick up additional tea and coffee for the room in the reception and that if you forgot razor,sewing kit etc there was a sign directing you just to ask and you would be given complementary items. The design of the shower room and toilet was very good..... the 3 mirrors and the door that could shut off the toilet area. I liked the opaque plastic which let the light through and the blue night light.

The hanging glass balls needed cleaned. They are not easily accessible but if they were cleaned it would make all the difference to an otherwise very clean hotel.

I was greeted at Reception by a friendly member of staff. They gave me my room key and the Wi-Fi code and answered any necessary information. The hotel was in a fantastic location, within Dundee centre, walking distance from plenty of shops, restaurants and cafés. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The provided soaps and shampoos were Dove which were lovely and the Wi-Fi was really good. I didn't have to keep logging back into it, it just stayed on my phone throughout. Such a good hotel - would strongly recommend to anyone staying in Dundee.

The radiator in my room didn't seem to work but my room was a good temperature anyway.

Great location with bus station, train station and shops within 5 minutes walking distance. V & A museum across the road. Surf & Turf restaurant next door. Room was clean and lovely and warm to return to after being out in the cold. Toiletries in the room and if you need anything eg toothbrush/toothpaste etc the hotel will provide them free. Good breakfast with usual bacon, sausage, toast, coffee etc. Bar open until midnight but a bit expensive. Staff polite and helpful. This was our 2nd stay for a short break between new year and returning to work and will definitely be back for a 3rd time.

Everything about this hotel is excellent. The location could not be better. 5 minute walk from both bus or train station. In the centre, surrounded by restaurants and shops. On main road but very quiet. Great views across to Fife. Rooms are very clean, warm, with tea/coffee, large TV, desk, chair. My room had 2 seater settee. Bed very comfortable, choice of pillows. Breakfast included in price, usual full English, cereals, fruit, cakes, croissants, coffee machine. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Luggage storage if needed.

Nothing. I use hotels a lot and for a short stay this was perfect.

The Staff and the Room and general facilities in the Hotel were very good. I felt the Restaurant could have been a bit warmer, but this was not a big problem, as the temperature was increased when I requested it. On the menu, I would say that it could have been a bit more flexible, and inclusive of e.g. Fish and Chips, Chilli, and Steak Pie as an example, also, not much for Kids, having said that my Wife and I ate on two of the 3 nights and enjoyed our meals. In conclusion, I would recommend this Hotel, as it was excellent for location, staff friendliness and general good ambiance, just tweak the menu a bit, and make sure the heating is on in the Restaurant when it's cold.

No major problems, just observation as mentioned above.

The manager Sarah was excellent! We were visiting for a wedding and Sarah couldn't have been more helpful, it was much appreciated. She was so welcoming, allowed us to check in several hours early and very quickly as we only had a few minutes to get changed before catching our taxi. She made it a very helpful and personal experience, thank you! I also think the views from the big window in reception/breakfast are wonderful so would definitely stay again.

We are vegan and it was great that there were vegan sausages etc available for breakfast but it might be good to make the sign that offers that more visible as we had already filled our plates by the time we noticed it.

Great location at end of Tay bridge. Only 5mins from bus station and same from train station too. Staff here are all so friendly and it's genuine not done for show. Breakfast has everything you need to set you up, sometimes a little hectic but good is always hot and fresh beds are so comfortable and our room had a great view out to river and the V&A

Only thing was first morning at breakfast because we picked the busy time. No problem getting a table or food it was just people rushing around to catch their bus trip leaving. Probably not much the hotel can do but def worth knowing to plan your breakfast time. The hotel does have a chart explaining this,we just didn't use it first day lol

The location of the hotel was ideal for us as we were going to a concert at the Caird Hall which was just a 5 minute walk away. The hotel is exactly as you’d expect from a Holiday Inn express, basic but very comfortable. The self service breakfast was delicious and as staff were permanently topping things up it kept everything hot and fresh The welcome we got both on arrival and at breakfast the next morning from Sarah was lovely, such a warm and genuine person

The flush on our toilet broke whilst we were there but we reported it to reception before we went out and it was fixed by the time we came back. So really there was nothing we didn’t like about the hotel.
