The location is fantastic. There's a 7-11, the famous Maxim Dim Sum just a couple of door away, a fantastic FU Chinese Restaurant which is amazingly reasonably priced, Coffee Bean, Starbucks, Four Fingers restaurant and a Krispy Kreme.

There's a shady spa on the 3rd floor. Hygiene is an alien word there. Staff who do not speak or understand English. We paid for the CANDLING service but instead was given EAR CLEANING because she doesn't understand CANDLING and thought it was Cleaning!!! The staff just refused to entertain me and laughed it off!!! In the end we just walk away. I've lodged a complain with the Front Office staff the next day and she was apologetic about the matter and even felt disgusted when I showed her the dirty pail that was given to me for foot bath prior to my massage!

Stayed at FUHOTEL in Penang @ Bkt Mertajam last week and… WOW! 🌟 The place is super clean, and I absolutely loved the cozy interior design — it felt like home. The bathroom was spotless, and I was honestly stunned by the automatic toilet – such a cool touch! 😅 WiFi connection was strong, and we had no trouble streaming YouTube and Netflix on the TV — a lifesaver especially for my baby girl who enjoyed her cartoons. She loved it! The location is super strategic too — the area is surrounded by McDonald’s, Burger King, Tealive, 7-Eleven, and more. Super convenient for quick bites and late-night cravings! Overall, a great stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for comfort, cleanliness, and a modern vibe in Penang. 💯

Like many others have mentioned, the place is spotless, squeaky clean from top to bottom. We booked it last minute after our home’s AC broke down and needed a place to stay for the night. We chose the most affordable room available, and to our surprise, it exceeded expectations. The room was not only immaculately clean but also modern and thoughtfully maintained. For the price point, it’s honestly a steal. I also think this place works really well for a short staycation. I'm the kind of person who enjoys checking into a hotel occasionally for a bit of self-alignment and quiet time, and this spot fits the bill. It’s calm, clean, and low-key ideal for anyone needing a short breather from the usual pace of life.

A couple of things to keep in mind: while not directly the hotel’s fault, the nearby pickleball court can be a bit of a nuisance. We could still hear the sound of people playing well past midnight at 2 a.m., the ball hitting noises were noticeable from our room. Also, since the property is located next to a highway, you might occasionally hear loud pipes from modified cars or motorbikes. It wasn’t a major issue for us, but light sleepers might want to bring earplugs just in case.

The hotel is in a great location with essential shops and eateries nearby. The stay was comfortable and definitely worth the price. Parking was provided, which made things very convenient.

We were quite disappointed to find our room had been entered for housekeeping services even though we did not request it. Our bed was made and towels were replaced, which clearly indicated someone had come in while we were away. This was especially concerning as we had left personal and expensive belongings in the room. Although nothing was lost, it was an uncomfortable and unexpected experience. We believe guests should be informed if housekeeping is done by default especially when no request or key card wasn't left behind. This lack of communication created unnecessary stress.

1. Location - not easy to get to the hotel, you have to get on the Juru highway to reach this hotel, even though Google maps always point to the back entrance which is permanently closed for some reason. 2. There is no kitchen so there is no room service nor breakfast offered in this hotel

I originally booked another hotel and was very disappointed after check-in – the room was full of smoke smell, and I had to request a refund. With my wife and son, I urgently needed a better place to stay, and thankfully I found Fu Hotel around 11pm. What a big relief! The price was the same as the first hotel, but the difference was 100%. Clean, comfortable, and truly worth the money. We were very satisfied with our stay. Highly recommend this hotel! 😁

Room - spacious, equipped with smart toilet which is hygiene as I don't have to flip bowl cover, and also it flush by itself. All room has windows. Best TV channel selection ever with the availability of the Netflix. A lot good lighting which lighten up the room. Good wood flooring, which is not cold to step on. Parking - free and a lot of space in front of hotel.

Nothing at the moment. Just that water in shower is slow in flowing out when taking bath.

This hotel has really great modern technology facilities, such as in room radio through sepakers, heated potty lol and even netflix! bed was also super comfy and big, king size, plus room itself was very spacious. overall really happy with my stay here, great for short trips as outside also has so many drive thru shops.

The water from the shower leaked to the toilet floor a bit when shower is on. also not sure if we didn't know how to use or it didn't work but the curtains supposed to be able to open automatically i think but it didn't. and some light switches did not function, but it didn't really bother our stay.

The cleanliness and the technologies for the lamps and toilet are amazing. It is also comfortable for me to work remotely while my husband has training outside. The location also very nice and not crowded and near to Starbucks, coffe beans, etc with just walks away. Will book again for next stay if we come to Penang later.

Not sure if have cafe for breakfast or not. But overall are okay with the price.

Almost everything..very advanced. I very frequently stay in hotels and I would say this is one of the best stay I've ever had.The room equiped with advanced tech and at a very reasonable price.I would give a 5star room rating.Very highly recommended.This what we call a " Hotel Room " Check it out!

Only one thing.The manager doesn't know how to handle an incident which happened on the night I stayed there(3rd March) which was an accident. They took it very simple as I complained about it on the next day when check out from the hotel.I wonder why till today no one from the hotel have not get back to me on this.Still waiting
