The location is awesome! It’s very central and easy to walk around to all of the attractions. There are a good amount of showers so you were never waiting and having plates and cups to use was super handy. The reception staff were really lovely and super friendly ☺️

The walls were a little thin so you could hear your neighbours in the morning but it wouldn’t stop be from booking here again!

It was a peaceful, short stay. Short walk to Komtar, Prangin Mall and local kopitiam with plenty of choices. I liked the excellent location. The staff was friendly and helpful and I feel safe with the night security guard. I definitely appreciated the complimentary filtered water supply at the lounge area, and cozy places to sit in the salon at night. I also liked the complimentary locker, which could be bigger.

Hair dropped mixed withn dirt blocking the drain hole in most of the bathrooms. It caused flood during shower in the bathrooms that needed cleaning. I didn't like the narrow bathrooms which were dirty, not clean. I did not like and refused my bed being placed right infront of the toilet/bathroom door, but luckily my request to change bed and room was granted. Lastly, thetr was garbage overflow on/around the bins upstairs and empty bottles everywhere. Not happy with cleanliness standard at this hostel.

Great location, with walking distance from main spots in George Town and Armenian Street, easy smooth check in, good staff, the guy at the reception is nice, the room is small but all I need, comfy bed, basic bathroom and shower facilities.

a bit noisy at night from people staying in dorms, chatting and often music played. the room has a window but doesn't close so a lot of mosquitos came in..one night I didn't get enough sleep because of too much bites. the corridor besides the room is made of wood, so all walking by to toilet wakes me up by their footsteps.

It was a very old and antique house, it's a good choice if you want to experience how the people stay in the old days. However, it doesn't make any less comfort even it's an old house. The location are pretty good as hawker store, cafe, restaurant are nearby with walking distance. We had good food there. It worth every Penny I pay.

There's mosquito in my room and sound insulation of the room are poor as i can hear noises from next door and down stair。And as a guy I found its quite inconvenient to go down stairs for shower and toilet as the staircase are quite long. Overall I would give it a 8 out 10. As its considered comfortable to stay, the price are cheap and the location are really good.

Great location in the old town. It's one of the cleanest hostels I stayed in Malaysia, the staff clean every day and unlike some minging places they change the bed sheets after each guest leaves. Best of all there are bathrooms where the toilet and shower are separate so the toilet seat isn't always wet.

No privacy curtains on the beds. The lockers are small.

The hostel is perfectly situated in the heart of George Town's historic district, close to most of the attractions. The room, bed, A/C were all fine. The showers/toilets upstairs are spacious and clean, it's in an open area, so, free from any musty smell or mould. Soap, toilet paper provided, but towel costs RM10. There's a water dispenser available. Overall pretty good, I'd stay again.

There is a coffee shop but it seems they are no longer serving. I rarely saw anyone in the common seating area, so if you are looking for vibes, this may not be an ideal place. Overall the place is pretty quiet. Yet, in the back alley right behind the hotel live quite a few (10 or more?) chickens, roosters, geese, etc, so it can be quite noisy whenever they crow be it early in the morning or throughout the day!

This place is such good value for money! The location made getting around/walking to get food so easy. The vibe of the hostel was so nice, really colourful walls and art. The building had the Georgetown character but it was also super clean. The downstairs is a cafe so you can socialise there especially in the evenings after the cafe is closed to the public. We stayed Tuesday-Saturday and it was quiet on Tuesday/Wednesday but then more people were staying on Thursday/Friday so it might be more social on the weekends.

I think the location was great, there are a lot of great food choices around the area and lots of activities to do. There are plenty of amazing breakfast pland lunch places in the day and in the night do local street food is a must try. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and the toilets were really clean for shared facility.

Parking is a little bit tricky as it is located in a busy area, you would be better off finding a parking after 10pm as anytime before is really difficult. The rooms were also pretty dim, as the lights weren't very bright, and only 1 out of the 3 windows in our room could actually be opened, which didn't help the lighting.

The guesthouse is a beautiful place in an old style house - inside there are internal courtyards with lots of green plants. We had a private room with private bathroom, it was clean and well furnished with features in line with the style of the building. The air condition worked very well and the ceiling fan was a good addition. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful, we had to check-in after the reception had closed and the staff left us clear instructions of how to access the lock box and collect our key which was waiting for us. It’s located down a quieter street but very close to all the sights of Georgetown.

- Located within 5 to 10 min walk to main bus terminal at Komtar - Bedsheet & bedroom were clean - Toiletries & toilet paper were provided in toilet/shower room - Hot & room temperature water dispenser & cups/mugs/teaspoons were provided - Locker with key was provided for safekeeping of our small belongings like passport, keys, etc - Front glass door entrance always locked for security of guests (electronic token/key provided) - Common lounge with enough seats are provided for guests to mingle with each other

- No curtains around the sides of each bunk bed for privacy - Creaking floor if walking too fast on the wooden floor (not a problem for me coz I walked slower)
