Worth every penny. Will definitely coming back.

It's a simple hotel with minimum to no facilities. I expected that. The room is the right size for me. The bed was comfortable. I like that the basin water has cold and hot water at the same time. Seems like a luxury these days. The room smelled like it had been smoked in, so I wanted to change rooms but they were booked. The hotel immediately wanted to ionise the room, which I couldn't be bothered by because I was tired. So I lived with it. It's a good location with ease to go everywhere (Grab) and there are plenty of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. I asked for a receipt, and they immediately emailed me. No hassle, unlike some 'hosts' that seem to operate illegally. You could read my other review if booking.com permits it. So please stay with a hotel rather than a homestay.

I got a back room which is near the bin area. It was noisy in the morning. Also, security could be improved as anyone can get into the building to access the lift and proceed to any floor. I believe they will improve since they promptly replied to me. I have stayed at places where the hosts don't care at all and booking.com actually enables them.

Very strategic place to stay in Ipoh. Not a 5star hotel, but the location if very near to Ipoh Parade..Just can walk nearby- for muslim, the eatery place nearby agak limited but if u round the area, there's a lot of place u can eat even inside the Ipoh parade. I will add this hotel as one of my favourite hotel when comes to Ipoh again in next vacation.

Just TV channel yang kami tak dapat access for full. Hanya 2 siaran shj (sport and Astroria) only.. tapi takpelah, just small cases sahaja.

Room was spacious and clean. Easy to park around the property. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, and that topped off the stay, as they took the trouble to make my stay comfortable and pleasant. When I read other travellers' review of Shima, I thought it was a fairy tale, but the fairy tale is true. Shima checked me in, and she set the foundation for the entire pleasant stay, as she greeted us with warmth and ensured that we settled in quickly and comfortably. Haniff and Haikal were all friendly, helpful and very accommodating to my various requests.

Perhaps the small details - some channels on the cable TV weren't working. But everything else was good.

Convenient location, short distances to places of Interest and shopping. Comfortable stay, spacious room with a mini kitchen, good working air con & hot water for shower. Friendly & helpful staff. Parking lot available for those who drive. This is our 3rd visit.

Sometimes, the room smelled of cigarette smoke, although it is a non-smoking hotel.

The front desk staff was very kind. He make sure that I parked my car and went into hotel safely because the parking area is quite dark. The room was big and clean. There were old stains in many places but still acceptable. Bed was comfy and clean. Many restaurants or cafe nearby and walking distance to the famous eateries alley as well.

A bit dusty

Location was good & within walking distance to the old town centre. Staff were courteous & parking was good.

The mattress was sagging in the middle & perhaps a little more attention could have been paid to the dust in the corners of the bathroom countertop & too of shower door & also sides of lift doors. Tap on the sink in my room kept falling off & had to be reattached before use.

Cleanliness of hotel and rooms . Staffs are very pleasant and polite. Free parking available right in front of hotel. Layout of room interior is nice. Location is very central . Lots of eateries and biscuits shops within walking distance. Will definitely recommend to my friends. For the price it is really value for money.

Location was great. Within 20 minutes to all desired destinations. Very quiet and did not experience much noise.

Room given was facing the trash dump. As far as I could tell, other rooms on floor were not booked, so why they gave us this room is a big question mark. Some lights also did not work, and turning them off or on did not give any results.

Location and staffs are helpful, especially Shima and one of the Malay male staff are very friendly and attentive during our stay.

Daily cleaning service is poor. Especially the toilet flooring and wall of the shower area is not properly clean. Lots of dirty stain.
