The hotel is a great place to stay in Ipoh. A lovely reception with some snacks and fresh fruits. The staff helped us choose the best massage for our sores and pains, and it was soooo relaxing and calming. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had all the amenities you could think of.

The area is very quiet, but there are no pavements around the hotel. We went for a walk to the city centre and had to walk on the side of a rather busy street. It's not the hotel's fault, but something to be aware of (especially if traveling with kids)

So much different from normal hotels that we used to stay. The Sojourn Spa Hotel should have included morning breakfast in the package, The room is neat and clean. Me and my wife strongly recommended the hotel.

Room was comfy.

There was no bar fridge inside the room. Parking was limited, though we did have a space to park. Location wise, it is too far to walk to the restaurants and shops. A car would be necessary.

Love love love the aesthetics, the hot ginger tea upon check in, the lovely lemongrass fragrance in the hotel, the room was absolutely lovely and we like that it is duplex so you can have some space if travelling with more than 2 people. My kids loved it. The rooftop garden is nice.

The receptionist didn't inform about the free neck and shoulder massage and nail trial, and that it can only be redeemed between 4-6pm and it was full by the time I found out. So that was not good. Location not too far from town if you drive but nothing much around it if you do not drive.

Booked 4 different rooms and love every single one of them. They were clean, huge and comfortable. On top of that the hotel staffs are very friendly and welcoming! They went extra mile to serve the guests; my child left her favorite cardigan in the hotel and we only found out when we left the country. The hotel staff found our missing item and assisted to courier it back to us. They even called the courier company to check on the status on our behalf. Thats top notch service! Thank you Sojourn Spa Hotel. Its a hotel i highly recommend for those who are visiting Ipoh!!

There is nothing that I can find fault in!

Staff were super welcoming upon check in and as other reviews have mentioned, the fragrance of the serai/lemongrass is amazing. The room was very comfortable with a great bed and was nicely decorated. Everything felt well put together and still new. Bathroom facilities were good. We also used the spa for a facial and a couples massage which was great.

Having a small breakfast option on site would have been nice but actually you have so much variety on your doorstep, you cannot complain. The coffee shop over the road- 7 warna kopitiam is too notch.

The hotel has a very pleasant atmosphere and is quite tranquil. The spa is a very nice touch to your stay in Ipoh and we really had great experience with their facilities. I really liked the refillable water possibility. Location is easy and fast to reach with grab/taxi. If you are up for it and don’t mind the heat, it’s also quite walkable.

Even though it’s a lovely boutique style hotel, there were some minor things that should get improvement with time. We found it to be a very noisy hotel (you could hear your next door neighbour’s phone notifications, or opening and closing doors). You can see some wear and tear already in the room, even though I understand it’s a pretty new hotel. There was no coffee available, but that could be part of their wellness philosophy, it’s not a major drawback since there are some catering facilities around.

Pleasant ambience

The hotel should check cleanliness of bathrooms. Dirt, black spots have accumulated in corners of bathrooms & in between tiles. Bathroom shower head keeps dropping down and the birdie towel hooks are loose too. Not as clean as when I first stayed Feb 2023. Pls maintain standard, Also the spa which I believed is owned by the hotel should be more generous with little gifts. My friend purchased over Rm$ 800 facial products wasn’t given sample products. Moreover one of them had to wait 30 mins for massage although we booked a slot. She should have been compensated with extra massage time. Spa outlet should come up with business strategy to satisfy clients.

I like that it is a spa hotel! My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. We received a complimentary shoulder massage and nail shine. Afterwards, we went for the spa treatment on the first floor (foot soak, body scrub, sauna, massage etc.) for RM188 per person. We stayed at the third (top) floor with access to the rooftop garden. Soundproofing of the rooms was not bad at all, we enjoyed the serenity and quietness there. The whole hotel has essential oils around so it smells really nice and clean. Our room was also superbly clean.

The location is in the vicinity of the city and major attractions but only if you drive a car.

Spacious room, play area with some books and toys (most suitable for 2-6years) just outside family room, door between the master and non-master bedroom and each bedroom had its own living area, short grab taxi away from airport (15 min), great location with many nice cafes/eateries nearby, relaxing environment with tasteful decor

Minor quib - slightly odd layout with aircon outlet and wardrobe in the living room area of the non-master bedroom, resulting in sleeping area being abit stuffy while living area abit too cold Suggest to provide stepstool and child toilet seat to make it easier for children to use the sink and toilet safely
