The laundry service was excellent.

The rooftop service was under par, the delivery was slow and pick up afterwards didn’t happen until the next day. Also, a hotdog is not a sausage.

Loved the old architecture, and the location couldn't be better, right in the center and walking distance to everything! The room was large and clean, although a bit too dimly lit for my taste.

The restaurant at the hotel was the worst experience we had. We weren't taken care of, even though we were about the only ones there, we had to get up from our table to get things ourselves or get someone's attention! The hotel itself could use a little "facelift" on the inside, and the front desk staff as well as the restaurant could use a hospitality lesson to provide "above and beyond" service. The front desk staff was very nice and friendly but not very knowledgeable or helpful with questions or concerns.

What a pleasant suprise checking in to Hotel De Mendoza. Is is central to all the historical downtown attractions.Churches ,Museums,Government buildings.Great restaurants in the area. The restaurant in Hotel De Mendoza is also very hard to beat with excellent service and super friendly staff and great food.Attached to the hotel is the oldest church in Guadalajara. The Hidden gem of the hotel is the huge rooftop patio that overlooks everything. You can see a good portion of the city and especially the historic cathedral, the old church that is attached, the oprah house and government buildings which are all lit up at night. I will definititely be back.

This hotel is perfectly located within half a mile of all major attractions of Guadalajara. We walked everywhere and where we couldn't, we walked to the subway! And the pool - after 105 degree days, the pool was a godsend. don't miss the view from the roof top at night -- lights on the cathedral. Lovely. We had left the hotel after three days and were preparing to leave the country. On our way to the airport from Michoacan, we were in a serious accident. We needed a place to collect ourselves, leave our luggage, etc. We called Hotel Mendoza and they were very accommodating and so kind. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone....

I would have liked nice towels!

The location is great. The price was also appropriate for the value provided. I would like to shout out two of my favorite spots near by. La Chata de Guadalajara, Birriería las 9 Esquinas and De Carmen Espresso Bar.

The bathrooms were outdated, but functional. Updating parts of the bathroom, the storage and the television would go a long way in terms of the overall experience. I feel strongly that all TVs at hotels should now offer personal streaming options.

Hotel Mendoza felt old school in an absolutely charming way. It's in an old convent, and it feels like that! The restaurant is solid and affordable. It's popping at breakfast with guests as well as locals having what felt like business meetings before work. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The location is fabulous. If you're staying there on a Sunday, the downtown gets even more alive with performances and vendors. The view from the roof is also amazing. The beds were exactly what I Iike- firm, without being overly firm.

We stayed there twice- at the beginning and end of our trip. At the beginning, the room we were staying in didn't have very strong wifi. At the end, our room did. The first room we were in had dusty curtains. I didn't mind, as everything seemed overall clean. If you're looking for a luxury experience, look elsewhere, but if you're looking for an affordable, comfortable, and charming spot with a location that can't be beat, this is your place!

We have stayed at the Mendoza many times. And, as always the location has proved so key to our always preferring it. The spaciousness of the junior suite and the price paid as a "genius' level booking.com customer is another benefit staying there. The La Forja Restaurante is a pleasant ambiance to eat at/in. The menu is more than adequate for breakfast and dining. The only disappointment for breakfast is that they sell out too fast their "pan dulces' that accompany cups of coffee.

Perhaps it is because we are aging seniors, but we felt perhaps the bed seemed a bit firmer than usual, on the hard side? Just a minor thing. Still slept OK. Certainly it was nothing that would dissuade us from lodging at the Mendoza again and again.

The elevator was amazingly efficient. The location is the best! The guy who works the greeting area is very good and helpful.

The bathroom was dated and would work better with a pocket door, given it’s very small size. Sink didn’t drain but was fixed quickly by maintenance. Bathtub still drains very slowly. Window looked onto a wall. This is Mexico. Paint a mural or nice scene on those blank white walls. You are an historic building so at least, show the pride that should go with that legacy. Hire a modern day artist to paint a historic scene on those walls that look out on those awful blank walls. You can do better!

The room size is generous however it is split level with about 3 feet difference in elevation. There is a comfortable sofa and TV on the lower level. The staff was very accomidation with a parking attendant posted 24 hours. Location is outstanding, easy walk to everything in centro. This is our third time staying here with visitors and we will be back in 2023. Our spanish is limited however this was not an issue.

The double beds for 2 people are too small for those living north of the border. The mattress is hard for one that sleeps on their side. Both had sore shoulder in the morning. A coffee maker, or electric water pot, in the rooms would tbe nice as this is now standard throughout our international travels.

Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Great location. The room was overall comfortable, clean and met all my needs

The rooms could use a bit of a facelift. The hotel is starting to show its age. Pool was freezing cold but maybe I am just a whimp :)
