The free breakfast everyday was a good way to meet other travelers. The customer service is very kind and responsive. Washer & dryer service are on-site with a paid charge. Rooms & bathrooms are cleaned everyday. The female dorm 1 on 2nd floor has an en-suite bathroom which is convenient. Even during high season, I shared the dorm room with at most 2 other women. There's a hair dryer that I was able to borrow from the front desk.

The refund policy is unclear.

Location was exceptional for accessing bus stations heading south to beaches and wild spaces, easy nice walk to the main Los Muertos Beach area or very frequent busses up and down the hill, great swimming holes nearby. Loved having free breakfast (some fruit would be great in addition but it was fantastic to have eggs and tortillas and not just cereal)! The current volunteer Ryan was so friendly and helpful, as were the others who own and run the hotel. Cozy friendly atmosphere, family-like, non party atmosphere. Great terrace.

More hammocks. The one hammock on the terrace was often occupied when I desired it. Would be excellent for a more relaxing vacation!

The hostel is a very pleasant place to be, especially in the off season. There was me and about three other guests most of the time, so there was lots of space and it was a very calm atmosphere. The owner is very kind and I really appreciated the tasty breakfast every morning. Apart from that, the best part is the roof terrace, where there is shade all day; it's a great place to sit and read, chat or watch the lightning storms in the rainy season with a cold beer! The location is also great - it's noisy like everywhere in Puerto Vallarta, but it's slightly separated from the bustle of Zona Romantica which I liked (it's a 10 minute walk to the touristy area), and there is some great, reasonably-priced food to be had from the restaurants across the road (a whole grilled chicken with sides for only 139MXN!).

I have no big criticisms. The decor and furniture is quite dated and basic. It's not one of these modern hostels with hi-tech bunk beds with lights and plugs built in. Personally I liked the simplicity though. There is only light in the room, the big light, which will be annoying at night if someone comes back late and has to turn it on. It's also very noisy because of the building's open-plan design and the big road in front. Bring ear plugs.

The hostel is a nice, big, open plan building with lovely roof terrace that is a short walk up the river from the main drag without being in the middle of the action. There are three female dorms, with private bathrooms! The common areas are kept very clean. The staff is amazing, it's family run and feels very much like being a guest in a Mexican home. Several long term guests. The breakfast is the biggest I've ever seen at a hostel, eggs/omelette with beans and tortillas, cereal, juice and coffee. They also provide storage for luggage, laundry service, and when I left an item there by mistake they kept it for me until I returned. Really just a wonderful spot.

My main issue with the hostel was noise. The location is right on the main highway, so there is a lot of noise in the front from that and the back gets noise from the neighborhood and the large church right behind the hostel. almost all of the dorms have meshed open gaps at the top of the walls for air flow, which also allows all hostel noise to flow freely throughout the building. The open air aspect also causes a lot of loud door slamming if folks aren't conscientious about closing them. The only other thing I would mention is that when the hostel is at full capacity with eight dorms, there are a lot of people there and it's hard for the staff to keep up with cleaning the dorms and keeping things like toilet paper stocked up etc.

Wifi was very good. Hostel also provided breakfast everyday and kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Rooms and bathrooms are fairly clean. Staff was friendly and nice.

Noise from the street, the hostel is located on a busy road and noise cars was constant due to poor soundproofing. There was also a lot of dust from the busy road. The location also required a 15-20min walk to the beach/center, the area is very residential.

Property is located on the outer edge of the romantic zone, far enough from the hustle and noise but close enough to walk in 10mins to get to the bars and restaurants. I stayed in the private room which had your own bathroom and aircon! That was all good value for money considering the location

The property was fine, but if your not used to walking Mexican streets/ roads you should come prepared with comfortable walking shoes

The roof top patio is awesome. The breakfast was definitely an added value! Really feels like a local stay in PV if that's a vibe you are looking for. Location is about 20min easy and safe walk from main squares in Zona Romantica. You can cross the highway at the light near the bus stop a few meters away. A few small restaurants and chicken stands nearby for food as well if you forgot to bring some. AC worked great.staff was helpful and answered all our questions thouroughly!

Definitely noisy at night but that's more a PV thing than this particular hostel. Building is old and need some updates (shower drain to be fixed, etc), but again feels like a local home.

Great family run atmosphere. Easy walking distance to along the river to Romantica and the Malecon. The property was well-maintained. The breakfast was made with love by the lady co-owner and her daughter.

It’s located on a main road and could be a bit noisy if you slept in a room close to it. I was in the back and had no problem in that regard.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was delicious! I opted for the private room, it was simple but clean and air conditioned. Balcony had a lovely view and a great rooftop hammock. Free water machine in lobby which was a big money saver and convenient.

The location was a bit of a hike but overall safe and quiet location. No real facilities nearby like banks, markets, etc. 25 minute walk into town and beach.
