Our entire experience from first walking into the lobby to checking out six days later was superior--far exceeding expectations. This may have been one of my favorite hotels in the WORLD. All the staff was kind, friendly and attentive (from the bellmen, reception desk, restaurant, and room cleaners. The room decor was sophisticated and comforting. We really like the interior design. We had a junior suite with Zocalo view so our room was a little bigger than the standard room, but it was well worth the price for a six night stay. Having the two comfortable leather chairs and the small table with three chairs was nice. We were constantly looking out at the Zocalo and all the craziness going on across the street. It was a bit noisy with drumming and horn noises, but it was over by 10 pm. I appreciated the small fridge in the room as well. The double sink in the bathroom was also nice. The complimentary breakfast was great and you can't beat the view from up there. We also liked to free food options in the back of the lobby. We also took advantage of the city tour that was organized for us.
Not much, but....not having an English-language (or USA) news station on he TV was disappointing. Also the TVs were not Smart TVs so we could not access YouTube to watch USA news. There could have been a little more light at the bathroom sink to shave.

Perfect location (heart of the historic center. Great restaurant ( breakfast included, lunch and dinner Prix Fix and upscale). Staff were friendly, caring and knowledgeable. Anything you want to see in regards to historical tours can be arranged through the concierge. Speaking of which, the concierge who assisted me, Vianney, was the most amazing and caring person I have ever had in this capacity. She was beyond just helpful, she made me feel like we were great friends.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. Fact is, I would have loved to have stayed longer.

The location is the best thing about this hotel. We were a group of 7 ladies and this hotel is in a safe zone. The best thing was the free food at the cafe and that was open 24hours. The staff was very courteous and immediately catered to all our requests. Mr. Antonio was very kind and helpful. Ms. Michelle helped us at the concierge and she’s very good at arranging tours.
Rooms were very small for two people and bathrooms were so congested. Shower area was like a small match box. The rooms offered to us on double occupancy were meant to be for single occupancy. There was no space to move around in the room.

This hotel is really beautiful, and right from check-in the staff were friendly, informative, and always happy to help. The service was just excellent. The room was quite small in size, but very comfortable and equipped with a super shower. The bedhead needed fixing, but that's hardly a major issue. We didn't realise that the cafe provided free snacks and beverages to guests as well, and not only that but it is open 24h. What a treat! The restaurant was the main reason we wanted to stay at Zocalo, and it did not disappoint. The food was impeccable, the view wonderful, and the service (again) excellent - well worth the money. Don't miss it if you stay here.
The only issue we had (which isn't really the fault of the hotel at all) was the noise in the morning from the street and nearby Plaza. Other than that, this place is pretty much faultless.

Fabulous hotel with great interior design features - even if they are imitations... Staff are fab, but typically Mexican don't interact overly friendly. Great atmosphere and right in the middle of historical centre. Excellent restaurant on top floor, but a bit expensive.
Our room was on level 5, just below the restaurant. The noise from moving chairs on the restaurants tiled floor kept us awake beyond 11pm and woke us promptly at 6.30am for breakfast. Avoid floor 5 and ask for floor 4 if your room is close to the Zocalo Square

Breakfast with the best view! It’s close to every thing I wanted to see in the Central Historico and so many restaurants close by. There’s a pharmacy beside the hotel. We felt so safe coz of all the security in the area. 24 hr free cafe at the lobby. Free for all cooler in our floor filled with bottled water and some apple. Helpful lobby staff.
There’s this one staff in the Balcon who refused to help me on our last day during breakfast. I asked for his help to follow up my drinks and if I could order from the menu coz we were seated in the far corner, our waiter hardly reaches us. He flatly refused and told me to go look for my waiter and ask the waiter myself. Very rude. And racist. He was helping white clients fine but when it came to me (I’m Asian that would pass as local brown Mexican) he did not help at all. And he was rude.

The most central location, very secure property, free bottled water and fresh apples on every floor, magnificent breakfast - buffet or a la carte items including Mexican specialties, wonderful coffee beverage options, incredible breads and pastries baked on site, stunning views from restaurant balcony, exemplary service, free food and beverages 24/7 at Cafe, free informative walking tour of El Centro with background history of Mexico City through three historical periods. The opportunity to meet interesting international guests.
Bed was too soft. Unfortunately, most hotel reviews do not address bed firmness or comfort. This is a problem for the many many people with back issues. Its always a crap shoot and has significant impact on stays. Did not access fitness facilities but expect they would also be first rate.

Great location near to the airport and in walking distance of most of the major attractions (Palacio Nacional, Templo Mayor, Catedral Metropolitana, Torre Latinoamericano, Museo des Belles Artes, etc.) Beautiful view from the restaurant and a generous, inclusive breakfast. Unlimited supply of free water bottles as well as an inclusive cafe.
Only two relatively small elevators which was not very convenient for peak times. Centro reportedly can be a risky place after 2200 when it empties of tourists, but I just made sure I had dinner early and took a taxi back. Because the hotel is next to El Zocalo, the road was frequently barricaded by police (taxis could eventually get through but took some negotiating) and on one day closed completely for a concert.

A definite plus for me was its location right across from the cathedral and the main square. I got the chance to pray at the cathedral every day of our stay and buy souvenir gifts from its gift shop. One early morning, my husband and I decided to spend some time in the main square just appreciating & enjoying its wide open space before the influx of masses of people later in the day. The hotel is also just a few minutes ride from Roma, Condesa, Polanco and the Guadalupe Basilica. The staff was friendly and special shoutout to Fernanda in the Front Desk for being very helpful and welcoming.

Sensational location right in the epicentre of downtown Mexico City. Adjoining the Zocalo - the main square. From our spacious de luxe room, we had a splendid view of the Zocalo and the Cathedral . The rooftop restaurant where we took breakfast was fantastic for photoshoots. The staff were adorable. We were warmly welcomed by Kenia and Raoul. We received a lovely welcome note from Francisco Garcia, the manager and a fond farewell from Fernada. I highly recommend this glamorous hotel.
