The location was great, being right off the center of the main square. And although the streets were busy due to it being a popular location and a large marathon weekend, the noise canceling windows/doors were INCREDIBLE and made you feel like you were in an oasis amongst all the hype! The staff were super thoughtful and kind, which made our stay that much better. Getting a private tour of the museum was also a really fun perk!

The shower pressure was unfortunately less than ideal, though the aesthetic was right on point. And even with the low pressure, the staff were super responsive and helpful when we reached out for help, as it was also cold. We got the hot water going, but being in an older building will come with some older pipes as well is all!

Location unbeatable. A lot of places advertise In Centro Historica. This can be a big area and generally you on the edge, that is a fair way from Centro, this place is Center of Centro. Almost in the Zocala. Resterant was excellent, cool place as well as great food, breakfast included was great. Dinner was fantastic. All staff at this place where excellent, a credit to the manager who went above and beyond.

Probably only thing was no lift. But as a heritage building they can’t install one. They carry the bags and help in every way but if you are disabled this isn’t the place for you.

The location is very central, you're literally there on the pedestrian street that intersects with the Zocolo. This means of course that it is very busy and loud--luckily, your room has very effective sound-proof doors. The bathrooms at this place are truly excellent, but so are all the decor choices. Each room is unique, but thematically, they all are definitely designed by the same person in a modern Mexican aesthetic. The staff are among the best, most friendly and competent that I have encountered anywhere. Contact them by WhatsApp and they reply immediately. The hotel is spotlessly clean, and rooms are cleaned every single day--not just towels/tissue changes, but actual cleaning--no dust or pollen that we let in was allowed to remain on any surface. The restaurant, which is also excellent, has very creative salads, classic Mexican dishes creatively presented, and as others have mentioned, sends up little treats almost every night. One thing you should know, as an historic building, there are 62 stairs to the top suites and no elevator (you don't have to carry your luggage, they'll happily do that for you). If you're not ready to climb the stairs make sure you get one of the first-level rooms. Just for your information: The altitude of Mexico City is over 7000 feet, so if you are not prepared for the change in altitude, it will be a bit of a shock. The air is very dry and thin, and you will need to drink allll the water and pace yourself. Luckily, the staff here will leave lots of bottles of water for you.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel in the centro historico. It was hard to find what we really wanted for this part of our Mexico City Trip - a small hotel but still very nice. Mumedi was perfect for us! To start - the staff were all so great. From our first meeting to our checkout they were concerned that we were comfortable and taken care of. Our room was huge! And it was also next to a common room with coffee and tables. It was surprisingly quiet with windows closed considering that we were right next to the Zocalo and right on the pedestrian shopping street. Breakfast was very good (cappuccino and chilaquiles!) Perfect spot for our first time in CDMX - we walked the historic area, took the subway and uber was also very easy. We would easily choose this if we wanted to stay in the center again!

A truly excellent experience with rooms that were beautiful, super-tastefully decorated and service that was so helpful and friendly. It's right in the centre of town but the room was very quiet - which was great. The staff brought lovely complimentary desserts while we there there which were a fantastic treat - this is just one of the nice touches that made the stay great. Overall an surprisingly delightful experience which I would highly recommend and I would definitely go back again!

* Altogether our favorite hotel stay in our trip to Mexico (5 hotels/ 2 weeks). We would love to come back!! * We adored the modern vibe in the context of a lovingly restored historic building.  * Props to the manager, Emmanuel, who patiently fixed my error with the dates, and ensured that we got a marvelous deal on those extra nights. * He also fulfilled my request for the top floor. FYI, we got stronger at climbing the flights of stairs, a great workout for us as middle aged people.  (Folks with mobility issues will want to stay on a lower level.) * Glorious restaurant, and the breakfast is FREE when you stay in a room. Perfectly cooked foods presented creatively.  I especially was grateful for the delicious consome de pollo when I needed something gentle for my 'turista' belly. * Diverse guests from Mexico, the United States and elsewhere in the globe made for some fun conversations in the shared salon. (The shared room had a large dining table, some sofas, and self service coffee and tea.) * Exceedingly generously sized rooms with huge ceiling heights and clever window/ door latches. Spent much time enjoying the small balcony overlooking the paseo below as well as the view of the Torre Latinoamerica (famous midcentury architecture) in the distance. Yes, I kept the rubber ducky from the bathtub.  * Sweet maid service, and we urge you to consider tipping your maids whilst visiting in Mexico.  * Absolutely perfect location, next to the Zocalo/ main plaza, restaurants, museums, Aztec sites and early colonial era churches.  * One of the nights we were there, Mexico City resumed its occasional music performance series in the Zocalo, and we were serenaded by a popular Cuban singer. Amazed by the number of people we saw - probably tens of thousands! * The small store attached to the restaurant offers many unique items.

Holy hell, why did we have to leave?!!

This is one of the best hotel experiences I've had. The people who designed the room thought of everything. Everything I needed was there in the room. The staff was wonderful. Emanuel was friendly and welcoming. Someone was always ready to help. They made sure I had plenty of filtered water to drink so I never had to buy bottles at the store. Location was ideal - just steps away from the Zocalo, yet the room was a calm oasis of quiet. I was also reassured by how safe the area around the hotel is, even at night.

The room was a bit dark, which I don't mind. But some people might not like it.

Excellent rooms (room 5 was very quiet). Best location in the heart of the old city centre. Great Stay!

Hotel service and staff was top notch but there seems to be a disconnect between high end boutique hotel experience and the average - at best - restaurant/café service. If the two are associated, there needs to be better service in the restaurant. Certain restaurant staff seem indifferent and not trained for the level of this Hotel.

loved this hotel - historical charm with modern comforts and luxury. it felt private and exclusive despite the convenient location but what really stood out for us was the helpfulness of the staff. we were fortunate / unfortunate to have unknowingly booked the hotel during mexico’s independence day weekend where we were situated smack in the middle of all the celebrations. thankfully the staff took the initiative to give us advice and tips on how to avoid and deal with the crowds and barricades. they went above and beyond in helping us research where we could catch our uber to the airport given the road closures and even helped with our suitcases at 4am in the morning to get to the meeting point. would definitely recommend this hotel anyday for those looking to stay in the centro historico area

5* guest experience thanks to Manuel and the staff, who go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay in the city. The team’s customer-oriented attitude is exemplary, we truly felt spoiled during our stay. The hotel is nicely located right in the middle of Centro Historico, room is spacious and new and offers all what you need. Breakfast is great in the hotel’s restaurant which is also a good place to grab a snack or two before / after city tours.
