The location is ideal. Little bit further away from the main town but this is a good thing. You would ideally need a car to stay here. The staff are really nice and helpful. The restaurant on site is delicious. The lake is beautiful and the free rental of SUP boards and kayaks is brilliant. We had the most amazing stay here, thank you.

The accommodation is very basic but is adequate. There are ALOT of mosquitoes so make sure to bring repellant.

Amazing property right on the lake with only a few rooms which made for a quiet stay. We had an amazing view out our door to watch the sunrise and the room was large so accomodating for our small group and very well priced for the area.

Our room wasn’t the cleanest when we arrived, there were lipstick stains on the glasses (left on the drying rack in a mess) and a few comfort things we couldn’t find like filters for the coffee machine. It’s worth noting that it’s a short drive into town so best to have a car. But again, for the price and peace this place was wonderful.

The location was perfect ! Right on the water allowed us to swim and kayak whenever we pleased. Gorgeous views from the balcony.

Unfortunately the drains in the bathroom and sink had a lingering odour that made the room smell slightly. The shower head was not fully functional also, with the head coming loose/off often.

We had a car, so the location worked great! It’s a beautiful location. We booked an apartment with a view and it was great. The restaurant on-site was reasonable.

No hot water while we were there (it was New Year’s Eve, though, so it would be difficult to find someone to fix it), some oddities with the room, but we were able to work around them!

Everything was acceptable in terms of cleanliness and the room was quite comfortable. Having direct access to the lake is just key and the pier at the hotel is great. There's parking inside the hotel, which was very comfortable and safe. You can book kayaks right there in the hotel.

In terms of location, it is quite far from the town - you need to go by car, so keep that in mind. For the kayak rental they confirmed 1 price before we took them and then, upon payment when checking-out they kept on insisting on another (of course, more expensive). We really did not like this, since we took the kayaks from the hotel because they were cheaper than other places (because they are VERY far away from all the "must sees" so you have to paddle a lot to come and go). In the end we ended up paying the extra price because we just did not want to keep on fighting, but this was not very professional. Display your prices on reception.

We had a great stay and were really happy with our room with a view of the lagoon! The staff was helpful and friendly and we got a lot of help with information about activies in Bacalar. The whole hotel area is very beautiful and we had a really great time hanging out by the dock in the hammocks and swimming in the lagoon. Big recommendation!

We had a fantastic stay, a very quiet, homely place with excellent staff who were friendly and gave us lots of help and recommendations when we asked. Guillerimo and Romero were fantastic. The lagoon is pristine and we spent every night enjoying The atmosphere down on the private dock.

We stayed in the leftmost room which had a partial sea view through the entrance door on the ground floor. Whilst fantastic for accessing the patio, the room smelled moldy and it felt like a basement accommodation. Water pressure was really low too.

This was an excellent area right on the lagoon. They staff was excellent very friendly and helpful. I got to meet the owner he was very gracious and his cousin the manager was very cordial and informative and very helpful. I will be back for sure.

Locaction on the lagoon. Dock and sitting area there wonderful. Nice room. Staff really great. Super helpful. Appreciated the coffee and toast in the morning.

Needing to take a taxi into Bacalar an back. No restaurants close by. Wish could have used the outdoor kitchen there. Providing a kettle for coffee or tea would have been appreciated.
