- The room was very clean and comfortable and the appliances that were there made our stay amazing: kitchen to cook dinner and breakfast, big fridge and even a washer and dryer and the water pressure in the shower was an added plus! (can’t be expected in Mexico but it was a pleasant surprise) - The bed is very big and super comfortable - The hotel is situated not directly in the party zone, so it’s quiet but it’s also only a 5-10 minute walk from it - We had the rooftop pool by ourselves most of the time which was also amazing - All the people working at the hotel are extremely nice and welcoming!

Nice sized apartments, well furnished. Good location close to the main street with restaurants/bars but not too busy. Really nice rooftop pool area. Liked the washer drier so we could do some laundry.

Air con in room was a bit inconsistent and sometimes not working. Also quite noisy on the streets outside so may need ear plugs if a light sleeper. NB if you have or hire a car - closest parking (on street) is now paid, but you can only use coins and pay for 6 hours at a time. Staff didn’t really offer much help with how we could get coins for the parking meters, would have been nice if they had some way of helping (maybe a notes for coin exchange?). We couldn’t get the parking app to work, they had no idea about that either.

Exceptional service - all the staff, from manager, to reception, to cleaning and maintenance, and security - are so friendly and welcoming. The area's super safe and located towards the calmer end of 5th Ave without the crazy music and crowds. Lots of good restaurants nearby. The beds are super comfortable and the sound insulation is good. The pool area is fantastic and quiet - so I was often up there just on my own. Excellent wifi - I worked during the days.

The kitchen could have more stuff. There could be more glass bottles to fill up with drinking water. Some of the rooms on the lower floor are not as great as the upper floors.

This is a great place to stay! as a solo female traveler I felt so secure over here. the staff have gone out of their way to make me comfortable. they are so friendly and genuine. The hotel is located 5 minutes from the popular 5th Avenue where all the restaurants are, and thankfully towards the quieter end! you’re not accosted by thumping music all the time. at this end of 5th Ave is where a whole load of vegan restaurants are- (I’ve spent all my time in tierra verde). The hotel has a great rooftop pool space - I’ve done sunrise yoga and taken sunset swims (it’s a small pool though) - with the place just to myself! I’ve stayed for an extended period, remote working and the Wi-Fi works really well. the kitchenettes are fairly well equipped so you could cook but I’ve ended up eating out. for the beach, avoid closer options, instead walk 15-20 minutes further, to the Mamita’s beach shack and use the free bit of the beach there. water and beach are clean.

upper floors are better than the lower ones.

This was truly a great hotel in Playa del Carmen. Close to supermarket, down town and restaurants. Great and big room, great bed, good shower, clean, nice pool and it was quite. No loud music or bars closeby, so good for some sleep! The people are very friendly and helpfull. We definitely recommend this place!

Parking on the street. You need coins and need to pay 2 times for 6 hours if you have a car parked for the whole day. We could not park with our creditcard so it was a challenge to get coins, 120 pesos, for our stay. And you need to watch the time to pay for the second time. Not really chill when you're on holiday. There are some 24 hours parkings in the city, we went there once when we went to island Cozumel. This is something you need to know when you rented a car. The hotel can not change this. Parking used to be free.

The room was incredibly comfortable, with everything you could need. Two balconies offered lovely places to take your coffee or read a book in the chair hammock. The rooftop deck, pool, loungers, and view were perfect too. Very close walk into the busiest tourist area if that's your thing, or walk about 15 minutes to a lovely wide open locals beach and relax. Bikes were always available to borrow from the front desk, and while they were very basic and not fancy by any stretch, they were perfect to ride anywhere you wanted to go. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The cooking utensils could have been a bit better, but honestly, the local restaurants were so good why cook many meals in?

Really great value, booked a deluxe suite and had a small kitchenette, living room/couch area, and separate bedroom. Location is pretty good, a few minute walk from 5th avenue so nice and quiet while still being close to the action.

Considering this is in a beach town, would have been great to have extra hooks or towel bars in the bathroom. There was only one bar by the shower, but we had beach towels, shower towels, and swim suits that we had to hang up.

We were in Playa for 1 night after diving and before were took our flight out the next day morning - This place was ideal for us. It is off the main strip but within walking distance of some decent bars and restaurants - The apartment itself was clean, well appointed and were spacious for the 2 of us. Pool is more like a dipping pool but was not busy and clean. Juan at reception was very nice and helpful

Wifi could be better by the pool

The room was very clean and spacious. We felt at home there and would book Newport House again when we return to Playa. Juan and Elaida at the front desk were incredibly kind and helpful. It was nice to have a blender and toaster for breakfast.

The only think lacking was the kitchen utensils. The dishes were very nice and we had enough pots and pans but the knives were not sharp at all and the French press coffee pot was not in great condition.

Our 3rd visit. Consistently wonderful. Incredibly helpful staff, comfortable accommodations, and a fantastic location. Can't wait to come back
