It was authentic very clean very Zen and the best part was the staff Fernando Daniel and Maria were great but in general the whole staff, I felt very secure there securities 24 seven and the Security gentleman is very nice and is always looking out for the guest. But would really make this place Special was the staff.

The only thing that I did not like which I mentioned to the owner was that there was not any rails in the pool for people with disabilities and also the bathrooms need some rails other than that everything was five star I give it a 10 and once again, the staff was the best part of it all

Very attentive. Brought a fan upon request. Food was delicious. Clean facilities and felt safe with the securities around. Hot and cold water for the entire family was available and potable drinkable water on the side.

No tv or phone. Low interior light. Bed sheets were a bit rough and a few harmless bugs made it in somehow in the bed. We swiped them off and they stayed off. I think the guy said it was some bug that comes out when theres too much sea grass on shore. They are really harmless. Watch out for an ants nest somewhere the pool or pool shower. My son was stung by a few and it really sucks for a few hours

The accomodation at Zamas was the favourite of our whole trip across Mexico. We stayed in the coconut grove and had a cabana with two bedrooms (one room had two doubles, the other two singles). Our bed was easily the biggest and comfiest of all we've stayed in - but what really makes the room special is the gorgeous Mexican styling. Colourful tiling, Mexican embroidered throws and cushions, thick walls, soaring ceilings, white adobe walls, built in shelving... It's all just gorgeous. There's a huge bathroom, good shower, plus a fridge. We also had an enormous terrace right on the sand, with hammocks and chairs and a view of the palm trees. It's a few steps to the gorgeous swimming pool on the other side of the road which we had to ourselves for the most part. Room service is available via WhatsApp and the concierges Fernando and Daniel were an absolute delight. Super helpful with advice and ideas, and they can book taxis, recommend restaurants etc. We rented bikes from across the road on two days and cycled to Playa Maya, the most incredible beach. There's a good restaurant there called Pancho Villa which doesn't charge a fee and the food is really good. We also loved the restaurant Negro Huilacoxe in town. If you're staying in Tulum, Zamas is perfect - not at all exclusive or glitzy but welcoming and authentic. We loved it. Thank you for making us so welcome.

The service in the restaurant is very slow but we have found this to be the case across Mexico. Expect a wait time of about 30 minutes whatever you're ordering. Tulum itself is very spread out and therefore quite hard to get around. Zamas is on the beach road and there are a few restaurants and shops around - but it's a very quiet area and lacking the atmosphere of other places we visited (like Bacalar, for example). The main centre is a few km north of the beach - too far to cycle in the heat or at night so we were reliant on taxis. The centre is more lively but again, it's quite spread out and we struggled to find any Mexican atmosphere. The beach at Playa Maya was incredible but other than that, I would give Tulum a miss and head to Bacalar instead.

The rooms we booked were surprisingly larger than expected. The property is beautiful with a spacious pool to hang out at. The restaurant overlooks the ocean and has great food and drink options. The beach is right there and it honestly couldnt have been made any easier with communication from the front desk on whatsapp

nothing! it was perfect. only stand out concern for potential families is that the property is split between the main road so you do have to cross to get to the other side. though traffic moves slow and is safe, I can see that being a concern for others.

The location and service here was great. The staff were amazing and very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again when in Tulum. I liked the on site restaurant, which gave us the option to go out for dinner/lunch or stay in. The daily happy hour at the hotel bar was nice.

What I liked far outweighs what I didn’t like, but there was an entire day and half that the wifi did not work for either of the rooms on my booking. This was resolved and the rest of the trip has working wifi so only a small complaint. I didn’t need the WiFi but I can understand why this may be frustrating to foreign travelers who rely on it for communication. Comparatively, the food at the hotel restaurant was good, but not as good as other places I ate nearby or in town while in Tulum. However, for the price and location directly at the hotel/beach, it’s a great option.

Fernando and Daniel at the front desk were amazingly helpful and really made our trip much more enjoyable. They helped us find a driver to take us to Coba and nearby cenotes. They also helped us coordinate with our next hotel when our phones weren’t working. Everyone was very welcoming and went above and beyond what could be expected. Would definitely stay again.

There is some street noise from passing cars at night but it’s mostly hidden by the sound of the ocean.

My 89yo mom said "take me somewhere warm" and off we went to Zamas. The entire experience was wonderful. Great communication. Helped us book transportation from Cancun Airport, booked us (fantastic) massages that we had right on our beachfront patio, checked in regularly. When we arrived in the dark they helped my mom who has some limited mobility/vision get to our Casita over the sandy beach, and continued to help throughout our stay. The hotel is amazing... beautiful beach and pool, delicious food (sweet potato tacos, pancakes, pepita hummus, beet dip... oh my!) on lovely beachfront patio, yummy drinks. The rooms are so comfortable yet don't get in the way of terrific rustic beach experience. The entire staff is phenomenal. We will most certainly return and very soon!

Can think of nothing. All amazing.

The Bungalow with sea view was awesome. Especially for families there is plenty of space. Food and drinks meet our taste.

Maybe we were a little bit unlucky but at the time mid of December the bungalow was very cold during the nights. Even with the extra bed sheet (not very comfortable) it was cold. The beach area is nice to be and a great view but there are better places for swimming. The street is very busy

I definitely recommend. We stayed in the Classic Room with the front the sea, on the first floor, and it was one of our best stays ever. A wonderful view from the window and terrace, the constant sound of the waves, a huge room and a large terrace. Hotel restaurant on the beach or a few just a minutes' walk to many pubs and shops. The entire staff was very nice and helpful at every step, special thanks and greetings to Danielo.
