The grounds are gorgeous and the pool is very nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our rooms were very large and comfortable.

This is a historic place, so some of the amenities are not up to the level of a resort. For example, the beds were are comfortable, but they are not heavenly. There is climate control in the rooms, but it’s not air conditioning like we know it in the United States. But the location, which is just a stones throw from Chichenitza, and the beauty of the grounds, plus the feeling of being back in time more than makes up for some of the smaller inconveniences. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would go back

I was surprised to read a few negative reviews about this lovely hacienda. We spent 3 nights here as our first stop for a Yucatan adventure. We drove ourselves so had the freedom to explore the area. The grounds are just stunning with a wonderful pool. Our two rooms were adjacent and in the heart of fabulous nature. Yes this isn’t 5 star luxury but it is comfortable and as we expected for an eco/jungle hotel. We ate in the restaurant for all 3 meals most days we were there as there isn’t a lot in the local area; we enjoyed the food and the staff were always helpful and friendly. It is so close to chichen itza for a morning trip and we also drive to Izamal one day as well as a local cenote. A lovely start to our trip.

We did encounter a few bugs and insects! The large iguana by the pool was very friendly though! Like all if Mexico, mosquitoes are prevalent

Smooth check in process, friendly staff and great restaurant. Room was comfortable and very clean, shower was great. It's only a short drive to Chichen Itza, thought the hotel might have had a shuttle but doesn't. Swimming pool is well maintained and and clean.

Draconian approach to bringing any form of food or drink int other room. Not even a bottle of water or soft drinks. Advertised spa doesn't really exist, there is a price list but it is extremely expensive, $270US for a 1 hour massage.

the setting of the hotel was beautiful, lots of jungle around and very spacious staff was nice

the food was not worth the price wifi didn’t work in the room back entrance to the Chichen itza is closed, so you have to go through the main entrance! there is no advantage of staying in a hotel so close by.

I loved everything about this place. The location is beautiful and close to Chichén Itzá. We arrived and the staff greeted us and showed us to our room. We felt that we were in the middle of the jungle. We had dinner at the restaurant which was delicious! Especially the dessert! After, we went to the pool and listened to the toads and insects and the staff came to ask if we wanted any drinks. There weren’t many guests that night so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. I was impressed with this place and will be coming back to stay more than one night.

Being in a jungle far away from everything was awesome. It was very quiet and peaceful. I loved the pool! The rocking chairs in a front of the cottage were great. I liked the walking paths on the property and the architecture of the main lobby.

All the rules imposed were stressing me out a bit. There was no outside food and drinks, if caught, there was a penalty, and water bottles were not complimentary.

Gorgeous historic hacienda set in beautiful tropical gardens, surrounded by pools, fountains and birds. An exceptional location close to the ruins (although not accessible from the hotel any more.) Staff were friendly and efficient, if a little overwhelmed in the restaurant at times. Room staff made efforts to present an exceptional impression, gathering flowers from the garden to decorate the room very artistically. Beautiful pool setting and immaculate garden maintenance. A room safe and fridge was good. NO TVs was really good.

Their rule to charge US$50 for any drinks or food or snacks brought into the property was rather extreme. (But perhaps understandable in light of our experience in Uxmal, where a large French party brought their glass bottles of beer to the pool area and proceeded to throw one another around in and out of the pool and other guests were forced to leave.) The food was unexceptional for this calibre of hotel, so we ate at another hotel for the balance of our 3 day visit.

Nice hotel surrounded by nature. Historical hacienda, you can imagine life in the house centuries ago. Very close to the Maya ruins site. Big pool to relax and refresh after the visit of the ruins under the sun. Nice atmosphere also at night.

Rooms are a bit outdated especially the bathrooms. Quite expensive for the level of rooms and breakfast not included.

Very impressive Hacienda building with comfortable porch for relaxing and pleasant pool/common areas. The bedrooms are set around the garden or pool and very spacious. Good bathrooms too. The breakfast was good although perhaps a bit expensive. We ate dinner here one night and it was a nice experience even if the food wasn't outstanding I'd recommend it for the atmosphere and service. Good cocktails too! Pool area nice. Very well located for Chichen Itza (5min drive)

The location is stunning, very peaceful and private, we had the honeymoon suite which was spacious (as was the bathroom!). The grounds are stunning and there is a huge pool. The breakfast was very good and portions generous.

The direct entrance to the ruins is shut and the only way to get anywhere is an expensive taxi. The food is good but not on the cheap end, although in all honesty the view from the patio makes it worth it!
