The rooms are kept exceptionally clean, the staff are very friendly and make you feel well attended to. The breakfasts are really nice, basically a selection of breads, cheese and ham/salami, eggs, and a load of different spreads. I had a broken plug in my bathroom sink and I reported it and they fixed it while I was out that day. The local area is quiet and locals very friendly, the hotels in the city of Amstelveen, which also has its own park, and restaurants and Cobra museum to explore. Was not disturbed by noise during the night, and the road is so quiet and respectful that you'd not get load people outside. If I wanted to visit Amsterdam again, I'd definitely consider staying here again, it was very pleasant.

The room lights aren't very bright, so the room is quite dark in the evenings, and the room was very warm. It is a bus/tram journey into the centre of Amsterdam. Its only 7 minute walk from the nearest bus stop which takes 40-50 mins to get into the centre, and 20 minute walk to the nearest tram station, which take 40 minutes. But these all go well into the evening, and are very frequent (generally about every 6 minutes).

Peaceful neighborhood, very nice staff, private parking (caution - if you park at the hotel parking it's free with no limits for the guests, but if there are no free spots and you have to park in the street then you have to pay at the public parkometer, and if I understood well, you can park in the street for max. 2 hours during the day?). Tasty breakfasts, good public transport connection with the city center. We were earlier than check-in time and it was not possible to do it before 14.00, but we were allowed to leave our luggage/car and go sightseeing meanwhile 😊

The door to the bathroom is made of matt glass, so it lacks privacy (not soundproof at all), and the ventilation in the bathroom is quite poor. Also the room door aren't soundproof and the main light could be brighter. If it matters to someone then airplanes starting from the airport may be loud, but we didn't mind. Still I totally recommend 😊

Location on canal close to old Amstelveen core with the bunch of nice restaurants and pubs. Hot beverages in the room. Staff is kind here.

I could hear nearby highway at night even with closed windows. Some small things: safe was not working, ventilation in the bathroom only through ceiling window (special long insertable handle to close it and it was squeaking terribly while turned :). And it becomes very cold if you keep this window open at night... Shower temperature regulation was odd - it was very sensitive. And I had to wait long in the mornings for the hot water to come... I booked room with terrace but this space was open to everyone, so I found one day cigarette butt on my table...

Hotel is 5 minute walking distance to the bus station and the Stadshart which has great open market on Fridays. Two minute walk, and you are in town with local restaurants and cozy neighborhood bars. The people who manage the hotel are very warm and welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good, the servers are caring and friendly.

No sign of hotel in front of property, I almost passed it if not for the owner who asked if I was looking for the hotel. Otherwise, all good

Breakfast was really nice, the breakfast staff super friendly. There is a big parking lot at the end of the street, where one car park for free! Good connections by public transportation to the city centre.

The bathroom is separated from the room by a glass door (that doesnt shut, but just covers the view). Even staying as best friends it made bathroom breaks somewhat uncomfortable. A normal door and ventilation would make it a perfect stay.

Really glad we chose to stay here, the hotel is in a lovely neighbourhood which felt quiet and cosy away from the bustle of the city centre. It took a little time to get into the main city by bus but transport is reliable and regular so not a big issue! The hotel itself is really quaint and well-situated, a slight shame that the scaffolding obstructed the view slightly but understandable and we loved watching the heron fishing in the canal outside. We loved our room, it was really cosy and charming. Breakfast was good, table service but plenty of options to choose from, they were happy to accommodate our dietary preferences. And the lady who served breakfast most mornings was absolutely lovely! If we return to Amsterdam I will definitely come again.

Not much, only bear in mind it is an older building with steep stairs which can be hard on the knees!

This is a lovely boutique hotel. The rooms are modern, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was continental and perfectly good (especially as it is included as standard). Staff were friendly and accommodating.

The only "warning" I would give is that due to the type of building and location the stairs are fairly steep, not a problem for us but could be for those who are unsteady on their feet.

The room was clean and comfortable, bathroom spotless. I loved the fresh green apple in the room - nice touch. The bed was perfect. Breakfast was amazing, fresh, tasty and plentiful.

The scaffolding outside my window was fine, but I certainly did NOT expect the man who walked past my first floor window several times - just so happened I was getting dressed at the time. A phonecall to alert me to this fact is all it would have taken. I am very understanding of someone wanting to check building work after a night of heavy rain. I mentioned this to receptionist who replied that something had to be checked, as if that made it ok. Disappointing.

I really liked this lovely family run business in a lovely location. We wanted to stay outside the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam but be able to easily get in and out of the city. This was perfect. The hotel is in a lovely relaxing area with nice walks and restaurants just down the road. We hired bikes from the hotel and enjoyed riding around on the excellent cycle paths. It's such a great way to get around and see so much. I really can't express just how fantastic and friendly all the staff were here.

It was a bit further than I expected to walk to the tram stop. But that could be my fault with my research being old. It is a 20 min walk to the tram stop and then you need to take the metro into Rokin to get to Dam Square. But I did find that quite fun and the public transport system is fantastic there. When we arrived we were given a room downstairs opposite the kitchen it was very noisy. There was noise from the room next door and lots of noise in the morning from the kitchen but as soon as we mentioned this to reception our room was changed to one on the first floor. It was called Dam Square and this room was perfect, quiet and spacious. Couldn't ask for more.

The place was affordable and in a nice area. It was a more or less normal house which feels cosy. The bed was comfortable, and it had a solid tea and coffee station, with nice little touches such as a free apple and chocolate. I didn't try the onsite restaurant, but it's close to the Amstelveen city centre, although it takes some time to cross the highway.

The breakfast could be better. It was table service where you only got to choose the bread but fruit and yoghurt were missing. So the breakfast options were quite limited. Also, when I wanted to check out no-one was present at the desk.
