Great location. Most staff incredibly friendly. Did have one bad experience with one member of staff, but overall fantastic and friendly. Good room size.

Despite having the most expensive room option, I was disappointed to discover the mini bar was not stocked and various 'extras' had not been made available. Had someone reached out in advance, I would have responded 'yes' to all the extras and been happy to pay! There was a lovely setup of wine glasses, but no wine. Also wasn't impressed with the charge for eggs at breakfast, I thought I had paid for the all inclusive experience. Had I been given the option, I would have paid upfront to avoid these additional charges. Tiny niggle, the cigarette butts under the decking / balcony could do with cleaning up!

The hotel is in a great central location and proximity to Amsterdam Central train station (4 minute walk). We had 2 rooms 1 with a king bed and 1 with 2 twins and both rooms and bathrooms were spacious and had plenty of storage. The rooms and hotel were also very clean. Beds were very comfortable and housekeeping was provided every day. We were given 2 new bottles of water each day in our mini fridge which was very nice. There are complimentary bikes to use if you ask the concierge. This was a great perk to have and we used them a lot to get around the city. We did not eat at the hotel so I cannot comment on the breakfast.

The staff member who checked us in was not the friendliest. All other staff during our stay were very helpful and friendly. Our shower was warm at best but did not impact our stay at all.

This was truly an exceptional hotel and I’m so glad I stayed here for my 4 day business trip. I had never been to Amsterdam and the staff were so lovely in helping to orient me and give directions. Everytime I asked them a question they were prompt and super friendly. The hotel itself is very chic, with great updates while maintaining character. There are a lot of spaces to work in the lobby or restaurant area and the extras such as 24/7 cold fruit infused water in the lobby were such a nice and convenient touch. I used the gym a few times which was small were a few machines and dumbbells, but it got the job done. My room was always super clean and incredibly comfortable. I was on the 5th floor near the elevator and it was exceptionally quiet my entire stay. The blackout curtains meant sleeping was just as I like and the bed was so so comfortable. I rarely sleep through an entire night in a hotel and I was sound asleep every night! Nespresso coffee machine in room with actual mugs and the toiletries provided were appreciated. Overall the comfort and service of this hotel were memorable and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others or stay here again!

The only thing I didn’t love was the location - there is construction happening on the side walk that made it difficult at times but not the hotels fault by any means. At the same time, while I didn’t love the surrounding area it was very easy to walk to Amsterdam central, some of the cute neighborhoods by the canals and a grocery store - all major pluses in my book! So while it wasn’t the most desirable, it was still very convenient.

Right by station, very central. Lovely spacious rooms and comfy beds. The wine hour was brilliant. Would stay again if in Amsterdam.

The wheelchair lift outside wasn’t working properly. we also requested an accessible room and were given a bigger regular room which I assumed was the same. on checkout we were told that they had put half our group in the wrong room which is why we didn’t have wheelchair facilities. they were lovely when realising their error but be sure to check. location is great but lots of roadworks going on outside which makes it difficult to navigate.

This hotel is in a really convenient location. We stayed here three years ago and found it to be brilliant for seeing the sights. It is close to the railway station and you can walk or get a tram to everything. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately there were major road works outside this time which of course is not the fault of the hotel. We paid £350 a night for a two night stay. There was one bottle of water in the room when we arrived and that was it. We have stayed in other Kimpton hotels and had two bottles of fresh water every day plus snacks. Also limited teas and coffees unlike before when we have stayed with Kimpton. It felt like the extra touches were missing on this visit.
