A great location at the center of the city, excellent staff that helped us with our lost baggage, and good coffee machine for the morning

Our bathroom was missing a door, instead there was a curtain

Location was perfect - right in the city centre next to everything! Central Station just a short walk away :) we were very unsure of what to expect of the rooms after reading reviews however we had 3 separate rooms and couldn't fault any of them! Plenty of room, modern and comfy beds!

Booking.com doesn't advise on the additional payment for tax upon check in - disappointing as we had not accounted for this so ate into our spending money. We had a mix up with luggage on check out in which we were given the incorrect case however hotel resolved the issue and shipped our luggage home.

Everything!!! There's a lift to the front right of the front door, so any complaints about stairs are void! The reason for a partial door on the toilet is to avoid MOULD BUILD UP, how can people not understand this?! Perfect design! Towels and bedding changed daily, not a single bit of mess and the staff are top notch! Didn't ask for a deposit, gave a map and crossed all the good locations to visit and when I thought my train ticket was my door fob (after a night of Amsterdam Amusements), staff came within 5 minutes to unlock the door and give me a new one at midnight, didn't complain once about doing so, extremely professional especially when I wasn't! Room 301 is the one to be! Booking another trip at the start of June, one of the main reasons is this hotel!

Nothing! Exactly how a centrally located hotel should operate!

Great location! It's easy to find it and arrive to. It has trams close by to connect everywhere. The Centraal station is really close, so it's easy to arrive from the airport and easy to connect to everywhere -we actually left Amsterdam with Eurostar train and headed to Brussels and Luxembourg. Staff is super friendly and helpfull. The room and the building had prober Dutch uniqueness, which we like and kind of hoped for (meaning for example the odd stairs ;-) )

A little wear and tear here and there, but overall clean and funktional. Didn't bother us to have some markings on the walls, because all the important things (like bed and toilet, etc) were good. The shower in the toilet didn't have shower curtain, so almost the whole toilet got wet. But we solved that by showering in the evening so it would dry during the night (and they do provide a floor towel).

The location for the central station is brilliant. Loved that the family room we stayed in was on a floor to itself so didn’t get disturbed by other guests and felt less like we were disturbing them. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean.

We had an intermittent vibrating sound in the room and, despite investigating and turning everything off - air con, lights, taking the card out etc., couldn’t get this to stop. It went on all night and did disturb our sleep.

The staff was very nice and helpful, the rooms were clean and were cleaned every day. The location was excellent close to everything and also for what is far there is a metro station nearby. The bed is very comfortable to sleep in! And we didn't hear any noise from outside

The shower is together with the toilet and what separates the toilet from the room is a curtain and not a door so you need to feel comfortable with who you sleep with

Perfect location with amazing staffs. Every staff I met was super kind and they are always ready to do their best for helping me out. The room was tidy and cozy. You will be easily access to anywhere in Amsterdam and you will be enjoying your stay thanks to generous and kind staffs.

Basically my room was clean but there was a small whole on the duvet cover. Probably some rude precious visitor smoked and made a whole.

Great location next to central station. Friendly staff. Well kitted out room with coffee machine. Able to leave luggage before and after stay. Our room was at the front by the street and above a bar, but it was quiet at night.

Inside window didn't quite shut fully and needed to be fixed, but wasn't really a problem.

Ideal location for rail travellers alighting at Central Station. This is a very comfortable and surprisingly quiet hotel that provides all the basics. Obviously no breakfast options but you make that choice and there is plenty outside including a full English joint.

Very difficult to locate if you are an old git like me without an i phone. I resorted to asking two young ladies bathed in red light for directions. Get a dirty great Neon sign that says SOTEL.

Great central location, quiet, friendly staff and the room was clean and modern with en suite. Nice shower and plenty of space in the triple room we had on ground floor. I think many people do not realise most hotels in Amsterdam have small rooms due to the shape of the buildings, this is my 5th time in Amsterdam and this is the most spacious room I’ve had. We were also offered free coffee in the lobby when we wanted which was a nice touch, as well as coffee machine in the room.

the sliding door on en suite was difficult to use but not a problem for us.
