This hotel is perfectly situated! It's wonderful close to the museums, the de Pijp market, the town centre and Vondelpark. I left that it's in the quieter part so you can generally get around without too many crowds. The team in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. In particular the gentleman in the morning was excellent. They gave useful information and were empathetic. The rooms were comfortable and I slept very well in the bed. Everything was clean. The decoration was also decent and sympathetic to the area. Had a peaceful view outside my room too. The in-room tea selection was also good.

There was a problem with that booking system and the cleaners the day I checked in, so I had to wait about 45 minutes for my room. There was also an issue with the hot water, but it was so hot in Amsterdam during my visit that it wasn't that big a problem.

The hotel was very close to the Rijksmuseum, which is exactly what we wanted. We could walk to museums, shops, restaurants with no trouble. We hadn't pre-ordered breakfast thinking we could turn up and have it if we wanted to and it would be added to our bill, but the staff there checked our name on the list, saw we hadn't ordered it and turned us away. We were happy to eat elsewhere and assumed we'd misread the booking information, which we probably had. We thought the bathroom was particularly well appointed and very clean.

Other than the breakfast issue there was nothing we didn't like. It was a bit strange that when we turned up they were expecting us to have a child and so we had been given a family room but we had only booked for the two of us.

The hotel’s location is perfect. It is in a quiet and very nice street but just around the corner of the museums area, so that makes it ideal to move around and get to know the city + the tram is also close. The people that works in the hotel are super kind. You can rent a bike in the hotel

The rooms are little and a bit expensive, but I think that is general in Amsterdam. It should be an extractor or window in the bathroom because air doesn’t circulate. However I would recomend the hotel and Im looking forward to coming back.

The location was great. Centrally located and close to museums, restaurants, shopping and parks and all modes of transport are readily accessible. Bikes available at the hotel were also a bonus as Amsterdam is easy to explore by bike. The hotel was small with friendly helpful staff and small rooms with character and all that you need.

I had no complaints.

The location and the staff. It is a super quiet but still central neighborhood and the staff were also super friendly.

The only minor thing is the size of the room. It was super small, cute, but so small. And this can totally be my fault because I completely based myself on the pictures of the room, but they did not match. The pictures showed a much larger room than the one we got. Don't get me wrong, it was very clean and decorated well but there is not much space in the room for your luggage.

Decoration was really nice, good breakfast and friendly staff

Beds were ridiculously high, what made them uncomfortable and dangerous if travelling with kids. Rooms was only cleaned upon request and until 11am, which they didn’t tell us at first. So the first day they didn’t clean, the second day I asked again by 10am but they said it was late as well. Luckily one of the recepctionists checked that my request was registered from the day before

BEST Hotel I could have chosen for Amsterdam. it's half a block from the Rijksmuseum, with Chanel, Prada, etc behind it and, it still has a very low price. The decor is unusual and fun, Clean and super good showers, the staff is kind and attentive, has a cozy lobby that invites to sit and wind down sipping something having a panini and chatting. 100% will recommend

I loved all but I'm not sure if it would be warm enough for winter. Our window had some cold draft during the spring.

Hotel is nice and peaceful considering how close it is to some busy areas, bed was fresh bathroom well equipped with some beautiful toiletries to use. Breakfast was a bonus and very nice 👌 😋 Highly recommended the Max Brown Hotel great decor with friendly staff.

Probably the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in ,not much room in bathroom but we coped. Thank goodness for the lift because those iconic Dutch stairs are a bit tricky for this kiwi with a knee injury.

The location is perfect if you are going there for cultural tourism. The hotel is next to the leading museums and the very centre of Amsterdam is max. 20 mins away by walk. One of the big markets is really close to the hotel. The room was bigger than I thought. The staff of the hotel is kind and helpful. They were always smiling and offering some help even before you ask when they see you are struggling. We had to leave before the breakfast time last day and they gave our breakfast as take away to eat on the way.

It took hours to make our room ready. We arrived to the hotel early in the morning like 10 am. They said they will try their best to make it before 15:00 which is the official check-in time. Unfortunately, it was hardly ready at 16:00 and it was still wet when we entered to the room. The bed was incredibly soft and high. If you are around 165-160cm, you must climb to bed. If you are shorter it is impossible to reach it without help. The breakfast had lack of variety. The only bad thing about the location is you need to walk quite a bit for food and most of the close by restaurant staff don't like foreigners.

The location was amazing - such a beautiful neighborhood with lots of museums, huge park, shops and restaurant nearby. And the city center was not far away - one could reach anywhere using metro/tram/by feet. The room had all necessary facilities. The staff was very friendly. The interior of the hotel and small details were really lovely.

The room was very small, especially the toilet. We barely managed to fit out suitcases (used the area underneath the bed for that).
