Great hotel in the quiet part of the city centre. Fantastic architecture of the building and amazing design of the rooms. Extra thanks to the staff member Olena who took an extra mile to help us with adjusting our booking. She is a real professional!

Everything was perfect. maybe minor thing that breakfast could have a few more options to choose from.

The hotel is in a great location within walking or tram distance of many popular locations. I enjoyed renting a bicycle and riding around the area very much. The room was quaint and had plenty of room. The hotel staff was very helpful. I'll definitely return the next time I'm in Amsterdam.

The breakfast price at the hotel seemed a bit steep. Fortunately there were a couple of charming breakfast places with an easy 10 minute walk.

An utterly beautiful building in a great location (a short walk right into the centre). Staff couldn’t do enough for us, the room was beautiful - spacious and so, so comfortable. We arrived after an active trip away, and a truly awful delayed journey and it was just perfect. Luckily we were able to check in early which made a huge difference. Amazing hot shower, high end toiletries, well priced bar with delicious nibbles and a very comfortable bed. We had intended to go out on our first night but settled for an early one and both managed to sleep for near 12 hours straight! (Unheard of for both of us). Take time to wander the building and learn it’s history - the renovation has been sympathetic and retained many beautiful features. Everything was easy, relaxed and we had a lovely couple of days absorbing Amsterdam (a city we both know well already). Highly recommended for a touch of luxury. We will definitely aim to stay again.

Hotel is in an excellent location and the building is full of character. Our room (queen) was spacious and clean. The mini bar (non-alcoholic) and toiletries were replenished each day. There was a good choice for breakfast with interesting salads in the cold buffet.

Lighting in the room was good for atmosphere but poor if you wanted to read. None of the lights were well positioned for reading.

The building had so much history, the room with the skylight was beautiful, I had to mention the excellent staff member at the reception night duty who went above and beyond to help guests (forgot his name but he had East Asian ethnicity), he should be given a bonus, a raise, or get promoted. He was reception, housekeeping, and room service all in one.

Our room wasn’t ready on time, we were checked-in two hours past the check-in time so we had to wait; nothing was offered while we were waiting to be checked-in

Very lovely classic Amsterdam building in a quiet location …..and you can open the windows. Plenty of good restaurants around including Jaspers 3-4 minutes walk. Private small garage for parking. Nice staff ….small garden area. All abundantly pleasant and well managed.

I didn’t like the restaurant much but probably just not my style. Breakfast minimalistic and not great

Lived the uniqueness of this hotel. Room upgraded without asking for it by very accommodating staff who called for a taxi for us for early morning pick up. Location is out of the mayhem of center with lots of restaurants and easy walking. A really lovely place to stay.

I loved this place but the tub/shower I. our room was a steep step in and out which could have benefitted from another grab bar.

The Hotel is situated very close to the Museum Quarter and the Canals area and therefore ideal for tourists. The Breakfast was delicious every morning and the Hotel Terrace is excllent for an evening drink on a sunny day. Similarly, the Carabean Restaurant serves delicious meals. Additionally, there are good eating and drinking facilities in the vicinity.

Although we booked a 5-nights stay 'deluxe room' for months ahead, we felt we were badly accommodated in what turned out to be the smallest room of the entire hotel (No.106) directly above the entrance. This was also confirmed by the floor plan in the room. I mentioned this to the management directly after our check-in, but was advised that the entire hotel was fully booked out and a room change was out of the question. Considering the size of the room, the single tiny wash basin in the small bathroom and the minimal shower facilities, we felt we were treated poorly for the room prize we were charged.

We dropped our bags off at 11am and we’re told we could checkin at 3pm. We provided the credit card as required and did all necessary paperwork. We then came back at 4pm and the room was not ready. They then found another room to give us and redid all paperwork and did the credit card holding fee again. (So now had 2 amounts removed off my card). Then upon checkout the next day they had to use the credit card a 3rd time for payment and said the two previous charges would be refunded in about 1 weeks time. Overall, my card had 3 nights charges on it even though we stayed only 1 night and I had to wait another week for the refunds to reflect on my card.
