Nice hotel but sadly our original booking for two nights was messed up by Booking.com. We were sent to another Bastion hotel 15 minutes away and had to take taxis in to Maastricht. It cost us over 200 Euros in taxi fares.

e stayed at this hotel last year and booked again for this year for two nights. Unfortunately the booking this year was handled by CWT and they gave the hotel the wrong credit card information. I called the hotel when I got an email advising the issues with the card, I gave them another card and was told that it was okay, I could pay on arrival. At 5pm on the train to Maastricht I picked up an email message advising the room had been cancelled. The hotel took no responsibility and there was no apology for their part in the problem. We were told there were no rooms available and yet the next day I was able to book a room for one night.

- Central location to the old town and all sights. - Parking was right around the corner to the hotel. - Cool Euro 2024 theme throughout the property. - Big breakfast with a wide variety of fresh fruits, plus fresh eggs and waffles to be made on demand.

- Explanation of where the parking garage was, we found, too complicated. It’s simply a left on the corner right beside the hotel, follow through down to the end of the ‘no through road’ and into the underground area. It worked out well in the end, was pretty close but staff overcomplicated directions which led us to being lost for 15-20mins before we figured it out ourselves. All in all, nice hotel to stay!

The room was really big and comfortable. The coffe making machine in the room was much appreciated. Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. Overall a good hotel, close to the center and easy to reach from the train station by bus.

It was over the weekend, so it might have been an exception, but while my room was arranged (bed made, new towels, etc) the bins were not emptied and the bathroom was not cleaned. No big issue though as I only stayed 2 nights.

Large rooms, great staff, close to stations for main transportation routes, close to the city center, excellent price. Definitely a great choice for business or leisure trip or a city break. Will definitely book again even if it wasn't great in terms of cleanliness in the bathroom, but maybe it was just my bad luck this one time.

The bathroom was not properly cleaned unfortunately, with hair and dust, could be better with a bit more attention from the cleaning staff.

We stay here at the Bastion every time we come to Maastricht it is very central with secure parking. Marit & Sebastion were lovely.

The front of the hotel is littered with cigarette ends it is not a good look & could easily be rectified with some sort of receptacle to put them in. It is a very simple fix & would make a huge difference to the appearance at the front of the hotel. Also need two pillows & I did request extra pillows but didn’t get them - disappointing!

As a motorcycle rider , secure parking was a must! Parking was advertised but after I booked and read a review it said no onsite parking however this isn’t quite true as there is secure underground parking where you obtain a voucher from hotel reception, whilst it’s not really onsite it is a few meters around the side of the hotel, it was an excellent facility.

Nothing, it was all good for me .

We love this hotel the staff are always lovely & helpful its a five minute walk into the centre with lots of bars & restaurants along the way. The two young men servicing the rooms on the day we arrived were extremely helpful & very polite.

No hotel information in the room - pillows are dreadful very poor quality. I did sent a message when booking for extra pillows but had to ask again after we arrived. We did leave our umbrella on in our room & are trying to get it put into lost property to collect at a later date. Also would prefer a room facing the road.

One night became 14 nights because my husband was involved in an accident and therefore in the hospital. The staff was terrific, empathetic, caring, comforting, and friendly. They felt like family. We are very grateful for their hospitality and care in a very difficult and scary time of our lives. More family joined us and we were all treated excellently. They just brought a little light in a dark period. Thank you so much!

Friendly staff clean rooms. But I felt sorry for guy at hotel bar who was very rushed pointed out he's on his own, he got my food order wrong plus a couple sitting next to me. More staff was needed he was serving drinks taking orders deliver food to tables so far too much for him he was very pleasant and not his fault Clearly under staffed this evening . But overall I would and will book again. Just more staff on evening duty.

I asked id I could do a late check out as my coach leaves at 2230pm. They gave me extra hour,but still very long day considering was on a 12 hr journey back to London. I feel more could of been done as rooms were empty my whole stay both sides of me. It would of been appreciated as was a very hot day.o e thing I did hear Whilst waiting to go home was a reception guy on afternoon shift talking to a female colleague saying in English as I thi k she was from Moldova saying French people are arrogant which I heard from the sofa. Now I'm.english but that could and should not be spoken.i was very suprised as English was not his native tongue he was louder than he realised. It was about 6 or 7 pm in evening last Wednesday.

Central location. Staff were very helpful.

There was no iron or ironing board in room. No packet tissues in bathroom. There was no choice of pillows and the only pillow in bed was flat and unsupportive. There were very few English language brochures on display.
