Nice location along the river and very close to shops, restaurants and general things to do. Wasn't too far away from any parking. Staff were friendly and quirky with good command of English - we really struggled with Dutch as we were only there for 1 night. Quirky little place to stay with a comfortable bar area too. We arrived about 6pm.

Slight smell of sewage from the toilet which ended up wafting into the bedroom. 3 person bedrooms (1 double, 1 single) were a little more cramped than we got the impression from the photos - we stayed in room 11 - but wasn't too bad once some deodorant was sprayed. Little bit of noise, BUT we knew that might be the case given the nature of the venue.

We loved everything during our stay. Though it was the warmest day of the year and we couldn't bare with the heat. Our room was comfortable and even when we asked for the fan for the ventilation they were happy to offer one. The beds were comfy and the sunset view was definitely a highlight of the stay. Managing a hotel is a tough job and imagine managing a hotel on a boat. These guys are doing great! The hospitality is just amazing! Thanks to Kenny, the girl at reception, the guy with tattoos and the Polish staff for making our stay a memorable one! We will be back when we can.

As great as the pints they serve on the boat, if any welcome drinks can be included in the stay it would be absolutely divine so guests can be up at the deck to enjoy a great time socialising. Otherwise, it was perfect!

The accommodation was almost perfect because it was one of the cheapest and it was very special. It is very close to the old town, on the river. Everything is within walking distance: sights, restaurants, shops. Parking is available in a nearby car park, and if you book in advance you can park at a cheaper rate - I think it's worth it. The staff were very nice and helped with everything. Unfortunately, we were unable to have breakfast on board due to bad weather. Breakfast was fair but limited in quantity. The room - being a boat - was very small, but there was a toilet and bathroom inside and you could sleep, after all that is the most important thing. It's very good if you just want to sleep, but you can also spend time comfortably in the communal area, for example, because of the proximity of the river.HereFor us, it's a great place to relax. For us, it's just the proximity to the river. For us, it's a big thing. We really liked it.

Breakfast could have been more, but we didn't go hungry. You have to accept that the rooms and beds on the boat are smaller.

We stayed for a night 2 adults, 3 kids and had the 5-bed room. Very recommended- enough space (no bunk beds) and windows (be prepared that people walk along the window, but there are good shades for your privacy). Some wardrobe hangers would be perfect. Absolutely great staff!!!! Helpful, fun and always available. Very nice deck to relax (there is a bar for drinks), perfect location (just walk into the city), very helpful with parking (they have a deal with the near by parking lot). As written, shared showers and toilets, but very clean. Nice breakfast even though nothing special. All in all great value for money.

Down in the ship it smells little moldy. Some rooms seem really small.

The Botel is situated close to the city center but you do not hear the noise. In the evening, the bar closes relatively early, so you can actually sleep comfortably. The staff is super friendly and likes to help with everything. The room was not too hot (mid August) and the window was situated as such it does not bring the smell from the deck (e.g. smoking smell etc.).

I would add extra soap for the sink, not only for the shower. And maybe a chair to sit (there was only a bank bed, so not comfortable to sit in the evening). But these are small remarks.

There is something 'retro' about sleeping on a boat, being rocked by occasional waves due to passing boats, and sleeping under a fluffy blanket instead of central heating. Great location for restaurants and the bijou architecture of the old town. Public transport is just one bridge, one plaza, one street and one coffee away! And there is nothing bad about sitting on the deck with a beer that is made across the river either!

The room did not have coat hangers - not a crisis, but I did notice.

It was a great experience overall. We stayed 2 nights in "2-persons-bed" and we were initially worried about bugs, noise, ventilation and heat. But, it wasn't so bad after all. The room was definitely on the small side, but the bed was big enough and it had everything we needed(plugs, shelf, mirror, towels..) There were many rooms downstairs, which I think were the ones with beds in an angle and only 1 really small window that many people complained about in the reviews. We had one small window that opened and one big that didn't. We left the small window open but were safe from mosquitoes thanks to the active spider friends 😉 We would definitely come back!

The sinks upstairs were only big enough to wash your hands. I never had to wait, thankfully, but there was only one sink downstairs that was big enough to brush your teeth or wash your face in.

This is soo beautiful. Perfect location, you can easily reach everything in Maastricht from there! This is where my boyfriend has confessed his feelings for me in 2020 and this year, in 2023, we returned to Maastricht and spent our last night in the botel. It's still so beautiful and has gotten some tables and chairs more in the outside area. We sat in the stern back then but there are tables too now, really nice! Our cabin was right next to the cabin we were in 2020, we just had a private bathroom this time! Beautiful style, beautiful vibe, beautiful views. Romantic hotel with a kind receptionist

The surroundings in the morning were more audible than three years ago, that might be because of the location to the stairs of our cabin but it was a little loud and the shower floor didn't dry as easily. But it gives you everything it promises. The cabins are small but that's to be expected on a boat. But all that won't stop me from coming back because I love this botel!

Go somewhere else if you want a mini bar, fancy soap and a large room. This was a hotel with character, a relaxing, laid-back place to be, and I'll be back. The cabins are small - as they would be, this being a boat. They are simply and cleanly furnished, with teak fittings that are of an age with the vessel itself. A big shout out to the Galwayman Derek but all the staff (whose names I don't know) were friendly and helpful.

I can't think of anything.

Jean Pierre (JP) was absolutely the best host you can ever wish for. When my daughter "admitted" she was a Nutella addict and they only had jam, he brought it in from his own home and made here a special breakfast that even included chocolate harts. It will be a memory she/we never forget. Its a boat so the rooms are small, but the location is second to none and the boat has a very friendly feel to it. We will definitely stay again.

Nothing.
