Our UK phone network provider is 02 although we had roaming it stopped working when we entered Europe. In my view 02 is the worst service provider ever. We had to purchase local SIM cards to call 02 Network support over 3 days but roaming still did not work. This was our first visit to the Hague and I was at the International Criminal Court. Wendy was amazing and exceptional. Wendy provided us with all the travel information. We had the whole building to ourselves. The view from the bedroom overlooking the river was exceptional. The place was easily accessible. 15 min walking distance to the centre of town. The shower was amazing and she had ayurvedic shampoo :-)

There was very little I didn't like about the place. There was a roof terrace that would have provide a spectacular birds eye view but for understandable reasons it had been locked. There is a scan me code outside the front door that provided the history of the building over the years but it was in Dutch wish it had an English translation for English speakers who did not read Dutch. Thing to note this place is not disable friendly the bedroom is on the first floor with a steep winding set of steps to get the first floor .

Quiet corner in the Hague. Mornings you hear the gulls on the canal and an easy walk or tram ride gets you to the center of the city. The bed is exceptionally comfy and the couch/kitchen area made it easy to have our daughter over for an evening meal. The building is truly unique- your own mini-castle! Wendy checked in appropriately to see that our needs were being met.

Be warned, the spiral staircase up to the bedroom is steep; toilet is downstairs and bed is upstairs. This was unimportant for us but could be a shock for some. Did not see any evidence of breakfast- there was coffee but nothing else.

This hotel is such a unique stay and perfect for someone who is into architecture or enjoys a bit of history. The hotel itself is laid out across two floors, so you really have a separation from your sleeping area and where you can just chill and hang out. The bathroom is pretty cool too, its basically an enclosed 'closet shower' but it is not small. They had it stocked with really great Rituals products too, and the water pressure was some of the best I've experienced in the Netherlands. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate their guests! We needed an early check-in and late check-out, and it was no problem at all. We got great recommendations on sights to see, restaurants to go to. All and all, we are going to visit again in the Spring.

I wasn't prepared for the steep stairs, so if you have mobility issues this might be a bit of a hard place for you. Despite heating, this is an older building so you will need to bundle up. I would suggest this as a perfect Spring or Autumn visit, when the weather is more temperate.

Top staff. There is everything needed for the stay; the lighting design looks stylish and professional; and the LP player is just amazing!

The sunshine is doubled by the water surface nearby, which can make the house extremely sunny in summer.

A unique quirky place that is great for a couple to stay. Clean and tidy with decent facilities. The passers by on the river and abundant bird life were great.

The noise from locals who gather directly out front at very late hours detract greatly from the stay. While not within the hotels control, it is a major issue. Could also use some blackout curtains in the bedroom.

Communication with Wendy was nice, early check in possibility, shop where we could buy food was very close. Parking place next to the apartment.

Toilet very small, missing place to put clothes and to dry used towels. Location noisy during night- loud music playing, wandering strangers around. Mess close the house ( cigarette butts, papers, bottles ) needs to be cleaned properly. Far from the centre.
