The staff were exceptional from the moment we booked. Great attention and eager to please. The Deluxe room was clean, comfortable and well decorated. The free 45 minute access to the spa was also a welcome and relaxing experience (just remember to book in advance!)

Breakfast choice was limited (unless you wish to pay more for extra options on the menu) and so disappointing compared to the rest of the hotel experience. Have had better value breakfasts in similar rated, and sometimes even lower rated hotels. The water was extremely hot in the bathroom so needed to be careful to run cold water immediately so as not to get burnt!

Beautiful building with a history - some of the previous guests include Eisenhower, Nicholas II and Theodore Roosevelt! If you are looking for an "good old days" experience this hotel should definitely be your choice. Breakfasts are quite decent with both a la carte and buffet options, cocktails in lounge were also nice - lounge works until midnight, which is a nice bonus for night owls. City center starts right around the corner and walking to Den Haag Central took us no more than 15 mins. Recommended!

The cleanliness is not at 5 star hotel level - but this might be partially due to the old age of the building. There is an Italian restaurant in front of the hotel, so despite the quite area overall, it might be a little bit noisy in the evening (although the restaurant closes at 22 so it's not that bad!)

We got an upgrade so the room was even bigger :). Bathroom was giant with bathtub and separate douche which was helpful for me since I was 8 months pregnant at the time. The breakfast was delicious and had a lot of options. The staff was great and helpful all the time :). Thanks for everything!

As I was pregnant, I kind of suffer because the mattress and the pillows were super soft, I slept well in other ocassions but maybe if you are pregnant like me and with back problems you will suffer a bit, So keep that in mind :). For the rest everything was just perfect.

All of our expectations were exceeded! We even received a free room upgrade! We opted for the buffet breakfast for one morning of our stay and ended up having it each morning! The service was wonderful, staff was great and the room was gorgeous! We didn't end up using the pool but I wish I had! The whole hotel is gorgeous and the history of it is definitely worth learning about. Location is perfect for walking everywhere! We did use Uber to get to Madurodam and Scheveningen but there are trams everywhere and so easy to use! Would definitely recommend staying here!

Not much to complain about, truthfully! If I have to mention something, as much as we appreciated our free room upgrade, our room was on the ground floor, street level. There was some noise but honestly, it wasn't too much of an issue. The hotel is within walking distance to a busy bar/restaurant area but not too many 'rowdy' people walk past later in the evening.

We loved everything about the hotel. The staff was incredible, the hotel room was beautiful and comfortable, the food was great as well. Located in the centre within few minutes to everything, really great. Valentina from the reception was attentive and changed our room on our request, which made our weekend away absolutely fantastic.

My only recommendation for the hotel would be to invest into double glazed windows, as rooms facing the street gets noise of drunken people passing in the middle of the night shouting.

Everything about our stay there was fantastic. The staff was very welcoming and check in was easy. We arrived there 4 hours before our check in time and we were able to get a room straight away. The restaurant is really good (we had the three course dinner, as well as the breakfast buffet the next morning). The room itself was very comfortable, quiet, and clean, with a nice bathroom. We also used the spa area (pool and sauna) and it was very relaxing. The building itself is beautiful and it was fun to find out about all the guests that have stayed there over the past 150 years.

The staff is friendly and helpful, the bed is super comfortable, and the spa facilities are quite nice

The only issue we had was that one of the guests is a celiac, and the wrong allergens information was provided initially at breakfast. Before deciding to eat there we especially asked if there were gluten free options and, once we were eating, we asked the server to identify them since there was no label about allergens. However, she gave us the wrong information initially, because she got celiac and vegan mixed. Thankfully, we noticed in time and asked to speak with someone else, but this is a serious problem since he could’ve been very sick if we had relied on her. Also, the gluten free options could improve - for instance, offering glute -free pancakes is quite easy. But other than that, the staff was very helpful and breakfast was very good!

Hotel Des Indes takes a special part of me and my husband as we came here the day right after our wedding. We are very grateful of how they accommodated us with a superb champagne and congratulations card they placed on the round table. Our room is prefectly located overlooking both the nature and the city. The hotel interior itself is phenomenal and classic. I felt like I was in the middle aged time when we entered the hotel. You will fall in love even more when you see the room decors and designs. This is a must experience hotel especially if you like to chill out and relax inside the hotel. Breakfast is delectable where you are being welcomed and assisted by many. Location is close to the square and many restaurants. We will always come back here and it is highly recommended.

The decor of this hotel is just magic. It feels like you are stepping into a version of the Ritz in the Netherlands, elegant, with character without being over done, feels genuine. The room are open and spacious, I got an upgrade without asking, nice staff, super professional and helpful

I liked everything, I wished I would have more time to just breath in the atmosphere and hear the sound of another time and history. The only small matter would be that at times you get lost in the corridor but there is a wonderful staircase you can take to get down the floors

Outstanding decor of the hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful.

The parking a bit expensive ( outdoor) and if you don’t make reservation, you’ll not have parking place. When we arrived ( without reservation) there was not space for our car ( we where making check in at the hotel) but most of the cars parked there belonged to clients having diner at the hotel restaurant or just going for a drink. I think we should have priority since we were staying at the hotel.
