Lovely motel ideally located 5 minutes from the central city. Five minutes walk from either the boutique village of Merivale with its selection of cafes and bars, or the Victoria street restaurant area. Also very close to Hagley park for a morning stroll. The motel itself has recently been totally refurbished and has been tastefully outfitted. An added bonus is the addition of a washer and dryer in each unit, very handy when travelling! This is a family run motel and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I recommend highly.

The room was very large, it had everything we needed including a washing machine and dryer. We parked right outside our room which was very convenient when bringing in our luggage. We were an hour late after check-in closed but still Erin welcomed us and showed us to our room. We’ve stayed in 6 properties during our trip and this is the only one where we were shown to our room! Great customer services. We would highly recommend to friends and family and would definitely stay again.

It was close to the road and I could hear the traffic in the morning. I didn’t notice it at night though.

We stayed here for four nights and it was fabulous. The owners were very friendly and helpful and had turned on the heat ahead of our arrival which was thoughtful. The location was within level walking distance to the city, with restaurants nearby. The room was great with a cheerful, modern update and in-room washer & dryer if needed, with kitchette. The bed was quite firm but clean and comfortable. There is free off street parking. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location next to the Botanic garden, surrounded with a lot of good restaurants. Friendly staff, I was quite late on the check-in day, the staff was still waiting for me to get me checked in. The cleanliness of the hotel. The quietness of the hotel. The full kitchen appliances, you can cook if you like. The dual mode Aircon which can provide cooling and heating by choosing different modes.

The toilet and the shower cubicle are quite small.

I had asked for a room with calmer colors and Erin provided a nice calming room (as per photo). Easy check-in, easy key return at the key drop-off box. It has air-conditioning so the room temperature could be kept optimal. It was also a very large and spacious room! The sofa chair was so comfortable that I fell asleep in it. There is a private lot in front of Room 3 so it was easy to access our car too! There was a washing machine and dryer which we had used for our laundry.

Very nice family run motel / apartment. Kitchen and bathroom were recently remodeled with nice amenities. Beds were very comfortable. It is located a short distance from the central park and botanical gardens. The best part of the stay was meeting the husband and wife who run the place. They were extremely kind and helpful in giving us directions to get around Christchurch and the airport.

Warm heating on in my room for my arrival. Friendly owners. I felt safe on the property, importantly modern & CLEAN rooms, free internet, unit well set up with washing machine and dryer if required. Kitchen in room is great with reasonable sized fridge freezer and the whole experience of staying is just easy, delightful and you feel well taken care of. Highly recommend.

The property is within walking distance of city centre attractions. There are an abundance of cafes in close proximity to the property, as well as a variety of restaurants. It was also handy to have a large grocery story nearby. Having a large fridge and a clothes washer and dryer in the unit was a real bonus. The motel staff were very efficient, friendly and accommodating. I would stay at this property again.

During peak traffic periods in the morning and late afternoon the unit I stayed in could be quite noisy from the traffic. I closed the windows during this time, which helped reduce the noise.

The spacious 2 bedroom apartment was great - it meant my two small children had plenty of space to sleep in their own room and to play when we were spending a little time resting at the property, and the master bedroom had a huge bed which was really comfy. Plenty of towels etc and there was a washing machine and dryer within the room which we didn't have to pay extra for - massive bonus! Bathroom was spacious, shower nice and large and hairdryer / shampoo etc provided. Daily service as well, so if we needed clean towels / wanted the beds made up then that got sorted.

Although the kitchen was generally well stocked with cutlery / plates / cooking equipment, the one thing we did notice it could do with was bowls - my kids ate cereal out of the mugs which they thought was brilliant fun, but didn't fit enough in for an adult portion! The shower was also a bit temperamental with the temperature, but we managed ok! I forgot to mention it to the staff on site who I'm sure would have resolved both points as quickly as possible - they were lovely and very warm/engaging.

We loved it so much we came back to stay an extra night on our way home. Clean, bright, with everything you need (including a washing machine and dryer) The set out of two single beds in room meant we could stay up and close the door. Five minute walk to shops and restaurants. Great place to stay and not too many rooms, so quiet.
