We loved the extremely quiet location ( especially at night ) - the fact that the unit was in a mostly shaded area so it remained a comfortable temperature all day - a nice swimming pool for a freshen up - great location handy to everything we wanted to see - plenty of good restaurants nearby.

No Complaints whatsoever but a couple of things would be handy if wanting to enhance : - a couple of hooks and maybe a shelf in the shower - the desert/cereal bowls were tiny unless you wanted a tiny breakfast - typical motel problem caused by guests - frypan was very distorted and would not sit flat on element - NONE OF THESE A BIG DEAL - just feedback for the operators - Thankyou for a great stay.

We stayed 2 nights at this wonderful establishment The gentleman on the front desk was super helpful and friendly. The accommodation itself was spacious and to high standard of cleanliness. The hot tub had a few chipped tiles but nothing to worry about or detract from its enjoyment. The pool although small was very welcome on a hot day. We have been touring around the South Island for the last 3 weeks and this was by far the best value for money we had come across, and the friendliest staff. It was minutes away from Hagley Park and very good restaurants. Guests also get 10%off if dining at the Carlton which is near by. Theres good laundry facilities that allowed us to refresh our clothes before more travels. I would definitely recommend this property, its facilities and staff to anyone staying in Christchurch wishing to have good quality, high standards of cleanliness and helpful staff, close to Christchurch centre. Outstanding service and value 🤗👍

Everything perfect - nothing to dislike would definitely stay again if the opportunity arises

We had a cancelled flight so I had to communicate with staff to shuffle the accommodation to the following night, which was not a problem and we were SO very grateful!! The man could not have been more understanding or accommodating. There was a discount voucher for a local restaurant in the room, which we used when we got there as we arrived so late we had taken our keys from the lock box. We were very grateful for the clean beds, cozy atmosphere and just the fact that we finally arrived!

The only issue the kids had was accessing the WiFi as the code didn't seem to work. This was not a big deal however as it meant they developed social skills instead!! :)

Great location within walking distance of the city centre; friendly and helpful staff; spacious property; well kitted kitchen; spa pool; parking; quirky building; beautiful roses in bloom.

Upper bedroom got too hot so needed the windows open and this meant noise from the next door hotel guests could disturb us early in the morning if they were talking loudly. There was a door through to the downstairs bedroom and bathroom area from the kitchen but no door (only an archway) on that bedroom- would have been better having the archway from the kitchen and the door on the bedroom for more privacy.

Absolutely quick and hassle free check-in. The room was ready and we were simply given the keys, explained some need to know things and our questions for sighting seeing and information regarding the city were politely answered. The lower rooms have a ceiling height of about 8-9 ft. So people who like spacier rooms may find it too compact. The room had a well appointed kitchenette attached. The amenities were hot water kettle, microwave, 2 hob electrical stoves, utensil, white ware and cutlery. Basic Tea and coffee sachets were provided.

The room was lovely and was perfect for what we needed. The person in the reception was really lovely as well. All in all we were very happy with our accomodation and the service. We will be staying here again. Thank you.

The parking was a problem... I'm really not sure how this could be made better to be quite honest as it was extremely cramped. Im also not sure what was going on with our shower but my husband had a 10 minute shower and then 2 minutes into my shower the water went ice cold. It was so cold i actually got a headache trying to get the conditioner out of my hair. Normally it wouldn't worry me too much but in the middle of winter it is a problem. I would also recommend some kind of steam extractor in the bathrooms. The extractor isn't a biggy but it would help with dampness during winter.

This Hotel/ Motel was amazing. Staff was absolutely friendly and helpful. We were lucky and got upgraded to one of the bigger rooms, which, if you get the chance to book, I would highly recommend to do so. It was a very cozy and comfortable stay. For people travelling with family, it even has a decent outdoor playground and a trampoline. Besides that the pool was a bit fresh for the time of the year but the Spa was amazing! Defiantly would come back again!

Cottages were lovely and cozy. Had the cottage right in front of the BBQ yard/Pool. Kids kept wanting to swim but sadly was too cold. Location is a 10 min walk to main street of Christchurch with Burger King nearby. Had good parking within the property. Arrived at the lodge late at night but staff had everything prepared, even turned the heater on for us. After hours check-in was a breeze. Just had to get the key from the safebox and good to go! Kitchen well equipped. We cooked a good lunch before heading out to explore the city. Beds were a little on the softer side but comfy enough. Good selection of DVDs available from the reception.

There is only 1 bathroom. Not convenient when travelling with families and everybody is "fighting" to take a shower. Kitchen did not have any ventilator or cooker hood so when prepping meals, the smell can get overwhelming and it "ventured" to the upstairs loft. Had to keep the door and windows open.

Great location and 15 to 20 minutes walk to Hadley Park/Botanical Garden.10mins walk to the nearest plaza called Merivale and McDonald too. Very spacious and great for Northland shopping Centre is less than 10 minutes drive away which has everything you need from countdown supermarket and many other Shops.Great plaza and very clean

The space in the rooms. The two bedroom was great. It was clean and tidy. There was just enough kitchen appliances to cook our own meals. The staff were super friendly and the amenities well stocked.

Would have loved ceiling fans & screens on windows and doors. Although there weren’t many mozzies, one of us has an allergy so we need to keep doors closed. Without fans it gets pretty stuffy in the current heat. A few larger bowls for mixing would be good too.
